We had so much fun creating our pieces as well as visiting with her. It's such a fun space and you really can make things turn out great - no matter your experience level! This wasn't just us, several people in our class had the same issue, and they had to call the owner to sort everything out before we could start. They also mentioned that we could bring our own drinks, which sounded great, but I wouldn't recommend it for the wheel-throwing class. We didn't open our wine as no cups were provided but there was also no time during the class to drink it. That said, our instructor, Callum, was amazing! Truly hands-on, patient, and made sure everyone left with a piece they were proud of, whether they chose to keep it or not. One thing to note: I wouldn't recommend this specific class for out-of-towners. If you want to keep your piece, the process takes about a month. First firing, then returning to paint, then a second firing. You also pay separately for any pieces you choose to keep and paint. Our class was $35 per person, and it's $20 per piece for firing if you plan to come back and paint it. It's a commitment, but also two fun experiences if you're local or don't mind returning. Overall, I'm taking off one star due to our specific experience with their wheel throwing activity, but I still think the concept of this place is great, and I look forward to coming back to paint my piece as well as to try a different activity!

Reagan was very easy to work with during the planning stages, quick to respond to emails and was down for any ideas and suggestion that I thought of. We also chose the specialty "Paint Your Pet's Portrait" Class and each painter sent in a photo of their pet to have Tawny, our teacher, draw an outline of the animal so that we had an easier place to start when we began painting. Because we had so many painters, we were able to have a second teacher and that was very beneficial as there was a ton of activity as we all began painting. The teachers arrived early and brought Everything with them that we would possibly need - easels, paint brushes, paint, aprons, canvas. Everything. Everyone involved was super friendly and very helpful. The prices were VERY affordable too. We had a great time and I would definitely do this again, and our paintings turned out Awesome!!!

It was hosted by My Wine Cellar, who supplied one drink and offered up their happy hour menu for further indulgent. The pace of the class was good and the assignment was plenty challenging. We all learned a lot, being novice painters. One or two in our group ended up with paintings that I would actually hang in my house. We all walked out fulfilled and with a better understanding of why we should stick to our day jobs.

Take a great artist/instructor, a couple of fantastic support staff,…read moreone cool summer evening on the patio.... add that to a birthday celebration, 20 of your best friends, throw in some fantastic pot luck, generous amounts of liquid refreshments (elbows up, please), one beautiful full moon, a clear night and thousands of stars. Splash in a perfect pool and hot tub as needed, mix it all together and you become the best partner ever for pulling off the best birthday celebration ever! Who knew??!! Painting with Canvas is the bomb! The price is right, and they bring all the needed supplies. All we had to do was extend invites and make sure we had tables and chairs. Francesca and her assistant Lana couldn't have been more enjoyable during the event, and Stephanie - who helps support from afar - made it all seem so very easy, so much help to make this a perfect evening. One thing in particular we enjoyed was Francesca shared a lot of information about the painting we were doing as we moved through the evening - details about the artist, his life, and how it related to the painting. Who Knew??!! You can have fun AND learn at the same time! Don't worry - if you've never put brush to paint to canvas before ... if you can't draw a box (like me) - you CAN do this! They step you through each part to create your masterpiece, and along the way they help you learn technique, understand some of the painting concepts, as well as help you to enjoy painting your own creation! We will do it again, and next time, perhaps, we'll have the easels setup poolside and have everyone in the water! I can't stress enough how fun it was to host this at our home. I am not artsy, I can't even draw perfect stick people, my birds look like m's, my drawing skill is…read morestill somewhere in the 1st grade level, but there is this artist inside of me that just keeps trying and have been wanting to do a painting class for years now, just never was brave enough to step out of my comfort zone to show up in public and make a fool of myself. With that said I found a really great offer on Living Social for a 2 hour paint class for 2 for the price of one person with Painting on Canvas so I bought it an then I quickly messaged my partner in crime and see if she was up for it, and thankfully she said yes! Booked a class a month out from when I bought the deal and waited for the day. I was a bundle of nerves, I can't draw, seriously can not draw, but Francesca was super nice and helpful and gave great instructions and technique and slowly my blank white canvas started to have something on it, that looked ok. This was fun, it was stressful because I was fearful of messing up (which I did plenty of) but it was fun and rewarding, and honestly I can't wait to do it again haha. Who knows maybe the inner artist in me will finally work their way out! Now time to find my next class with Painting On Canvas.
