I take my 5 year old son to PAIYH for the Tap & Tumble class and he LOVES it! The owner and staff are super friendly, quick to respond to questions, and are flexible with changes. When my son became the only kid in class, instead of cancelling the class due to low enrollment, the owner (BethAnn Hawley) kept it open because she saw how much my son enjoyed and loved it. Recently Beth Ann has added a boutique in her studio which houses dancewear, tights, bags, anything you need for your child to be successful as well as some fun other accessories. PAIYH is an incredible dance studio that offers a variety of classes in ballet, tap, hip hop and even breakdancing for all age ranges. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The studio has a great boutique with the cutest accessories, dance gear and necessities that your little one may need. The instructors have all been amazing with my daughter and I've seen her progress and she actually wants to come to class each week. My daughter has taken ballet, tap and hip hop here and has loved them all. Her new favorite is Hip Hop with Beth Ann, the owner and accomplished dancer. She is inspired by her instructor and wants to get better. They also offer classes for adults which I haven't tried it but am interested in. She had been at another dance studio previously, and while she is young and I don't have a lot of expectations for how much she's going to learn, I do think she's getting very good instruction at PAIYH. My 5yr old daughter has been dancing at PAIYH for two years now and we 've had nothing but a wonderful experience! Over the last few months, although her studio and boutique are quickly growing, she and her staff continue to treat those who enter the building whether it be for class or to shop with kindness and class. I have come to PAIYH to shop and for a hip hop and heels class and I absolutely loved it! The environment is always so positive. Beth Anne makes sure everything is perfect for her students and she is so, so welcoming. My daughter attended this school for around six months and felt scared by one of the teachers in her class. When we were evaluating whether to pause the classes, my wife asked the staff when we would need to let them know by in order to prevent being charged for the following month. She was told by the staff that they would just need to know by the last day of the month in order to prevent being charged for the following month, so we planned accordingly. Ultimately, my daughter decided it was better to pause for now and when we told the staff (two days before the end of the month), they responded that it was too late and we would be charged for the following month because, apparently, we were supposed to let them know by the 15th of the month prior. While this policy is totally reasonable, it is not what we were told. Had we been told this by the staff when we asked them, we would have easily obliged. When we let them know that we were told otherwise, they basically told us "too bad, that's the policy." Then, we received a very rude e-mail from the owner Beth Ann, who accused my daughter of "protesting" and told us we weren't welcomed there anymore. How am I supposed to explain this to my 4 year old daughter when she decides she's ready to go back to class? How can the owner treat her customers this way? It is very hurtful. read more

When a customer signs up for a class, they intend to be SIGNED UP for said class. I spent two hours in PAIYH three weeks ago; signing up for a Disney themed spring break class, a Saturday dance class for my two little ones, and picking out dance outfits and shoes. Due to family illness we missed the first two weeks of classes, but imagine my surprise when we show up TODAY 4/7/18, and are informed that not only are we NOT signed up...the class is full. The young woman working the front counter offered no solution. I filled out three different forms, spent 200$ on dance items plus 140$ for a Disney day that we didn't get to attend, and all she offered me was "I'm sorry but the class is full." Conveniently this was the same young woman who signed us up but didn't seem to remember us at all, even though we spent two hours together two weeks ago. Nothing is more disappointing than dressing up your 4 year old, psyching her up for an awesome dance class, only to get there and be told that we wouldn't be attending today, or at all. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, and never have I ever experienced a business so unwilling to make this situation right. Needless to say, we will be finding a different dance studio. Perhaps one that employs individuals who actually remember their clientele. read more

My daughters started at PAIYH back in February and it has really changed their lives. Being a student of PAIYH gives them a true sense of "The Arts". They have come into their own and it's exciting to watch. My girls took the Spring Break camp and loved every minute of it - actually wanted Ms. Jeanna to have camp every day! I signed them up for numerous camps this summer and the girls met some great friends, had a wonderful time, and "got their groove on!". The staff is so knowledgeable, friendly and you can totally tell they enjoy teaching their students. We have been with PAIYH since its Austin inception in 2008. Cannot say enough good things about it. My daughter Nicole has taken ballet, tap, hip hop, and cheer throughout 5 years. Our ballet teacher for several of those was Katie, who continues to be one of the most impressive extracurricular teachers I have ever encountered. Now we've been in cheer with Sarah for a year and love it. There were at least 6 performances throughout the year, including cheering and dancing on center ice at a STARS game. Jeanna is professional, has high expectations of instructors and has an amazing rapport with parents. She makes each child feel like they are important and noticed. This studio is about fun and letting your child shine, not who is the best and who is the favorite. You can't beat that. read more

Fantastic Dance Studio! My daughter, Mia, age 3 is in love with this place. Currently, she is attending a week long camp (Frozen theme) and I have always noticed the staff is extremely friendly and amazing with kids. When I pick her up she doesn't want to leave which is always a good sign. We are new to Austin so after a lot of research we chose this studio and so glad we did. PAIYH studio has impacted our lives in such a tremendous way! Our daughter looks forward to class every single week and most recently we celebrated her birthday there. Jeanna and her staff worked tirelessly to ensure her birthday was just perfect. Wow! I can't say enough about PAIYH and the awesome director, Ms. Jeanna. Our daughter started taking dance classes from Ms. Jeanna a few years back when PAIYH first started. Ms. Jeanna loves all of her students and makes each one feel special. There is the "personal touch" that you often don't see at other places. Our daughter has really blossomed as a dancer and looks forward to her classes each week. The PAIYH teachers are all so caring and really love what they do. Ms. Jeanna always has amazing things going on at PAIYH-fitness classes, dance, drama, singing, acting, etc. One thing at PAIYH you must check out is the BIRTHDAY PARTIES! We were at a loss about what to do for our little girl's upcoming birthday and did not want to go with the regular bouncy place routine. We booked the party at PAIYH and could not believe all of the fun activities they planned. Hair, tattoos, nail painting, costumes, games, etc. The instructors choreographed an adorable dance for the little girls and they were able to perform for parents at the end. Too cute! The instructors were so kind, helpful, and friendly to the little girls and kept the party rockin'! As the party wound down and people left, I realized I had forgotten to hand out the goody bags. Wouldn't you know, Ms. Jeanna had set them out and made sure every little girl got one. :) The instructors cleaned up and helped us gather up the gifts. WOW! They really took care of every little detail and made it very stress free for me.(Ms. Jeanna emailed me to find out my daughter's favorite songs, gave snack ideas, etc.) They truly helped make my daughter's birthday a wonderful and memorable day. We wasted a year on going to Alisa's. I am so glad I have found a place that wants to put the love of dance in children's hearts and not just get a paycheck. My 6 year old darling daughter goes to pre-ballet and hip hop there. She also went to summer camps there this past summer. AWESOME! I have a 2 year old son as well and they are never annoyed by him at all. They actually care about you and your needs and don't treat you like you're "just a number". I had a birthday party there for my daughters and Jeanna allowed me to completely customize it to be a full dance party with lights off, glow bracelets, and disco ball. She allowed me to set the play list and was very flexible with how I wanted the party. The girls who helped during the party were great too and managed well with so many kids. read more

We LOVE PAIYH. We are about to enter out 3rd year at PAIYH Dance Studios. My daughters began when they were 3 years old. The teachers and staff are so welcoming and warm. And the studio space is clean and well appointed. The teachers instill joy and a love of dance into the students all while having fun. Even when one of my daughters just wanted to sit and observe and not dance she was always invited and welcome and included in class, the teachers are patient, kind, and competent. Sure enough by her 3rd class she was dancing and having a blast. I am constantly amazed at how much my girls have learned and how well they have retained their new steps. The recital structure is amazing. There is an Winter "informal" recital, I refer to it as "Recital 101" it is a gentle way to introduce performing on stage and a great way to showcase what the classes have been working on. The more traditional recital is in the spring and by that time the kiddos are well versed and ready to be back on stage. The directors are organized and are super receptive and responsive. I was amazed at our first Winter Recital how Ms. Jeanna knew every student's name, let them know she knew how hard they worked, and how she encourages and acknowledges and celebrates these kiddos. Many of the teachers are performers themselves and there are many opportunities to see them perform and instill awe in the youngest fans.
