I called the tattoo location and asked if I can come in for a consolation. I went in the same day and we decided on a 100 per tattoo. Steven booked our appointment for Saturday. The places sensation process is perfect. He would get new needles and saran wrap each individual. The 3 of us got 1 to 2 tattoos each. We were done within 3 to 4 hours. Steven would check in with us before starting to ensure we were satisfied. In addition, I had changed my tattoo a couple of days ago and he was accommodating. On the day of the appointment one of us modified the design of the tattoo too. 2 of us got identical tattoo on our wrist and a tattoo in Punjabi. They only take cash but the work is worth it. Requested a tattoo by Lola. Had two done by her before, got sketches ahead of time so I could see what I was getting, she was sweet, sent me several different designs. Got the tattoos. Now I wanted a third tattoo. Asked her for a design of my dog paw and some flowers around it, sent her a couple of ideas. She sent me a picture through Instagram with one sketch that after you looked at it once it's no longer available. I asked her for a few modifications, had an appointment for the tattoo, but logically (according to me) wanted to see the finished piece BEFORE committing to having it tattooed. She never sent it to me so I cancelled the appointment, telling her why. She said she understood, that she had been pretty busy with work. After asking her about the final sketch a few times, now she has told me that she won't do it, that she actually doesn't send her sketches beforehand (even though I know that's not true) that she feels I don't trust her (even though I got two tattoos from her before) and that she feels a negative energy if she goes through with this tattoo. Of course now I don't want to have it done by her. But for the life of me, I can't understand the sudden change of heart of this artist. Mind blown . I'm sad I have to look for a new artist and a new tattoo shop. read more

Very satisfied with my piece and the service. This was my first tattoo and I put a lot of trust in King for this half sleeve. I was initially concerned that he would not be able to do Filipino tribal since it is a Polynesian place, but he let me know he has had multiple Filipino tattoo customers and I saw some of his work on Instagram. He asked me to send him my life story and then designed the tattoo based off that using filipino tribal tattoo symbolism. I also showed him a few reference pieces I had liked from his instagram. He also provided a reference sheet, so I knew what the symbols meant. The tattoo took about 2 sessions and he was receptive to when I needed breaks. Great experience! read more

I travelled all the way from Sacramento to see Mua. I have inquired with him about a month and half ago about getting my first tattoo. He was very accommodating and made sure I was booked in for him to come for my birthday weekend. Upon arrival his shop had good vibes and other artist jamming and singing along to music it was quite the entertainment. Upon our in person consultation Mua asked me about what I wanted my tattoo to be about and also listened to self values. He was very understanding and very accommodating through the process. I had a 7 hour session for my chest piece and Mua as an artist is phenomenal. It was mind blowing to me that he free hands his pieces and makes them individualized to a person. With that being said this was my first tattoo and it turned out amazing. The process was well worth it and to have someone as dope as Mua was a blessing. He let me decide when a break was needed and how much I wanted to go. After we finished, it was AMAZING and I just fell in love with it. This goes for Mu'a, not only the best artist ever but the most down to earth person I know. So in the beginning, my husband wanted to have a Poly mix sleeve. Knowing with our budget and timing, it really was difficult for us to settle which design to go for (we had no idea what freehand was) So when the stars aligned, we ventured out to see if we can get some recommendations. We stumbled upon Paka Polynesian Tattoo. When we came, we were immediately greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming hello. My husband mentioned what he wanted to get and I was surprised by the professionalism that Mu'a presented to us He told us straight up what we are gonna be looking at (price, time, design --he freehand meaning art of him is the same as the last) and once we were done, we paid our appointment fee and the rest was history Now, when it comes to his work. Man, I cannot express how beautiful his lines and designs are. You can tell how he puts attention to the lines and every details he makes. Last week, I messaged Mu'a through Instagram on a whim to finish my Polynesian tattoo piece that I had done from another artist. I really wanted to finish my 3/4 sleeve tattoo before going on vacation the next weekend and Mu'a made the time for me in less than a weeks notice! I was so excited & very thankful he did this for me. I came into his shop and he was very welcoming. He gave me the run down of what he had in mind for the rest of my piece & told me he was gonna freehand everything. Judging by his work I've seen on his IG, I put all of my trust in his skill to do so. After that discussion, we went straight to the workroom where he banged out the rest of my sleeve tattoo for almost 7 straight hours. The amount of detail he focuses on his line work + design is insane and it looks so CLEAN. I was so happy about the end result. Also, he told me about what each design meant. I wanted to know the definition of what is on my body, and he happily took the time to give me that knowledge as well. Words fall short to express what Mu'a offers at his shop, Paka Tattau. Fortunately you can see for yourself through his work! We talked about an idea, and Mu'a ran with it while freehanding the piece. There's something beautiful about giving up the sense of wanting to get something so specific, that we forget that often times there is a greater possibility than what is what we dream of. Mu'a is connected and invested in the work he does, and I'm grateful to have been blessed for this lifetime with his work. His shop is clean and minimalist. Everything in there is purposeful and intentional just like his ink strokes. It felt super comfortable and his hospitality kept me calm through the 5hr session. As an artist, he's extremely creative and really cares. He cares so much you can feel it through each stroke. I've had close to 40hrs of tattoo time and have definately been under the needle with less compassionate hands! My piece was packed with so many details... some bold, some intricate, and some thoughtfully extracted from our conversation. I highly recommend just letting him do his thing! I'm from Chicago and my job sent me out to Seattle for a few weeks and I've been looking to get a Polynesian/Filipino tattoo done. I did my research and found Paka Polynesian Tattoo and met Mua. Ive gotten two tattoos at Paka one by booboo who did the polynesian tribal on me and the other by Mua who did the Aztec tribal. Both are shown in the pictures. I am extremely satisfied with how they both turned out. Both booboo and mua took the time to ask me what i wanted the tattoo to look like. I need to go back a few more times to get the rest of my planned work done but am comfortable and confident of his abilities in doing what I'm looking for and at ease in knowing it's going to look amazing after it's all done. I can't wait to get back in and have him finish the work that we have planned and discussed in our initial consultation. The price is average from my brief experiences with tattoos. I am a little unsure of what the final bill will be but for the time to dollar. It's what I expected I guess. The location is easily located at a corner, and if you use a maps app you'll be fine. Parking is located in the back or on the street. The location is apparently a new one and it has a restroom in front. There are televisions that have cable tv and they also have Netflix and Blu-ray players if you'd like to bring something in or watch from their selection of movies. I'd highly recommend them for any of your Pacific Islander tribal work. Spot on to what I asked and it turned out beautifully in our initial session. Hit them up!!! read more

I heard about this shop through my sister who saw the sign as she drove by the shop a few weeks ago. Her husband went in for a cover up tattoo, then my sister went in for her first tattoo, so I figured it was the right time to finally get my first tattoo as well. I initially told Mua that I was thinking about getting a piece done on my leg. But when I came in for my appointment I told him I was now thinking about having it done behind my shoulder. Mua was very flexible and patient as he listened to all of my concerns and ideas for what I wanted in the piece. I told him I wanted a more feminine Polynesian tribal design that isn't too dense with ink and that incorporates sampaguitas, the national flower of the Philippines. He freehands the designs, so after he was done drawing the main outline of the piece he took a picture of it to show me and get my approval before starting to actually tattoo it. Not actually getting to see what the final piece would look like made me a little nervous, but I put my trust in him and his creativity. The session took 3 hours, and throughout the session Mua asked how I was doing and if I was still doing okay with the pain. My closest relatives were there with me too so we all talked and joked around which made the experience so much more enjoyable. When he was finished with the piece he took a picture to show it to me. It turned out so gorgeous! He listened to everything I said and incorporated everything I wanted. I am proud to have this piece on my body and grateful to be able to admire it every day. If I could give more than 5 stars I would based on my experience. Mua and I communicated several times prior to my appointments and I appreciated his time and responsiveness. Since weekends are typically booked far in advance, we discussed possibly an early morning session to meet my working schedule needs and his availability. We scheduled two sessions starting around 9am within a couple weeks of when we first communicated. I was so thankful to be able to get in before their normal business hours as I was driving from out of the area and would be in traffic both ways. Long story short, Mua was not only easy to talk to, but also very meticulous & professional at what he does. We completed approximately 3 hours the first session and 4 hours the 2nd session and I was more than happy how my design turned out. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting quality & authentic work. I look forward to getting another piece done by Mua sometime, maybe next summer. Can't say it enough, but again...
