Not even the insurance company was involved until later. I was being overly cautious and got a number of bids. Decided to take off my gutters as a major pain trying to get anyone to clean them and I'm too old for that stuff. Probably asked a thousand questions and was a real pest. They had done a friends house with no problems there. They were not the highest. They were not the lowest. They were open to me exploring options and what ifs. So signed a contract and San Antonio had almost constant rain so I had quite a wait. Which made me think of even more questions. But finally got a couple of rain free days during the week. They tore off and repaired one day and fashioned new heavier shingles the next. Had a lot of concealed damage on the roof deck. They had photos of the area needing replacement. I had decided to go with a higher rated shingle a 3 for hail and a 130 mile wind in hopes of an extra discount on my insurance. Also peace of mind. Roof repairs are not fun. Changed back to turbines since I've had racoons in my attic via vents before. They even put extra screening on my turbines for my peace of mind. Also got the shingles from the coast as that color and style aren't usually used here. I was like a chicken with its head cut off and they were both patient and helpful throughout. It looks great! We had solar panels installed in late February, about a week after Bondoc's fantastic roof tune-up. Sadly, we developed a leak at one of the panel installation sites which became apparent when water burst through our ceiling this past Thursday night after an intense storm. This was no fault of Bondoc's and most likely occurred during the panel installation process. The solar company's damages team was off site responding to emergency needs out of state, and would not be able to make the repair before the following week. With more inclement weather forecasted over the weekend, I reached out to Bondoc again. These lovely people treated me like family, and came to my immediate rescue. They completed less than half the project after having coerced us into paying 95% of contracted project cost in advance, and then walked from the project. Not only did they walk but after they did so and we brought in other contractors to finish the project we found their work to be substandard and portions of it had to be redone. We engaged an attorney and sued these guys. They ignored the lawsuit, and we won the lawsuit. in light of them ignoring the situation and hiding we went further and got the court to grant a large summary judgement against them. If YELP had the functionality I would attach the judgement to this posting. Bottom line, is these guys owe us an upper six figure judgement and they continue to ignore it and are attempting to hide. We are not going away. They need to do what is right and settle this! Just beware if you plan on using these guys, you are choosing to work with serious bad guys. Hold on to your wallet.
