What I received was a giant container of lettuce with two slices of cucumber and 3 cherry tomatoes and one breaded chicken tender cut up. When I called the store to let them know that my salad was basically just lettuce, they responded by telling me I received "the normal amount of toppings for the salad." When I clarified that my large salad only had TWO slices of cucumber and three cherry tomatoes , he again said that was normal. If that's normal, then I would imagine the smaller size only had one slice of cucumber? Don't bother ordering their salads unless you'd like to pay 20$ or more for a container of lettuce. read more

We called Palace on Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford, MA on Saturday night for delivery. We were told over the phone that they will NOT deliver to us anymore because we gave them a fake $100 bill a couple of weeks ago when we ordered.... I am totally outraged about this as this is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE.. yes we did give them a $100 bill as the order was very large and pricey. Why would we EVER pass off a fake bill and have the order brought to my home?? Why would Palace not informed us of this on the time of the order when they THOUGHT it was not real? Do not order from this location, I have ordered plenty of times from this palace pizza. I order a small BBQ chicken pizza with extra bbq sauce base. Every time I get the pizza there is NEVER any extra sauce on my pizza, instead they put mounts of cheese on the pizza. Disgusting. The pizza is always soggy and when you try and pick up a piece of pizza all the cheese falls off leaving you with soggy dough. I call and have them remake me another pizza, every time they send the new pizza with mounds of sauce as if it's my fault that my pizza was made wrong. They are petty if you call and have them remake the pizza, hoping to "make a point" and never inconvenience them by calling and explaining what was wrong. After calling to tell them they messed up the order, the young woman working on New Years Day, told us "not to get crazy" and cut us off as we were saying what was wrong. We asked why she was speaking to us this way, she offered us a $10 coupon after admitting they took the order incorrectly. The coupon didn't even cover the cost of the pizzas that were incorrect. In the past 6 months they have left me on hold waiting to order and forget about me for 20+ minutes multiple times. Sometimes they don't ever pick the phone back up again... One time in particular I held for 20 minutes and then when the girl came back on she said "pick up only". I said "why didn't you just tell me that before I held for 20+ minutes". Now, I know they're a busy place and things can get overcooked even if it's been in the oven 2 or 3 minutes too long ... if it happens to your home-cooked food, OK, but when you're paying a restaurant for a meal they should be putting out their best foods at all times. They should be treating every customer's order as if it was in a food contest or as if it was like when they 1st opened and they really cared. Now they've been in business for years and have multiple locations ... good for them ... but every customer's food orders should be at its' best ... all the time. Having your meat on your pizza overcooked is like having pebbles on it, and overcooked cheesy bacon cheese fries is not good, it's bad enough when it's cooked right and the cheese still sticks to the foil (I think they need to think of another way of cooking it, maybe spraying the foil with a non-stick spray 1st), but overcooked the cheese is brown and it even tastes burnt. The female manage is completely unprofessional. They failed to give my husband all of our order and refused to deliver it. I ordered the shaved steak calzone, which had onions, bell peppers, roasted peppers, cheese, and marinara sauce on the side. And my daughter got the chicken & broccoli calzone with Alfredo sauce. There was plenty of steak in mine, and the marinara sauce was good. But the crust was delicious. Soft, but not chewy, cooked perfectly, and it had the freshest of flavor. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about, because the crust wasn't dry at all. My daughter also had the same compliments as I about her calzone. Typical take out place. A little on the expensive side, was 25 bucks for a calzone, fries, and a 3 dollar tip. But besides that I love their bacon cheese fries! It's a norm for me when I order from places like this.. and I have to say they have some of the best in the area. The Calzone is also good..comes with a good portion of marinara.. could use a little more cheese though. Palace is kinda hit or miss in the sense that sometimes their food is good and other times I end up really disappointed. I like the online ordering format but I get really bored with the selections and attempting to mix it up can be either really good or not so much. Sometimes the pizza is really burnt and other times it's undercooked. I've definitely learned not to order a pepperoni and cheese calzone from here because most of the time the pepperoni is really dried out. The fries are also frequently overcooked and I wish they'd use nacho cheese on the nachos. Their drivers are pretty much nice but I especially like Kaitlyn. The last few times she's delivered to the house she's asked to see my dog. Amazingly she remembers her by name and that is really nice.
