Best movie theatre in town! They have great selection of specialty movies via Fathom events (Studio Ghibli and Live concert series). The movies are $5 on Wednesdays, and there are student discounts available. The theatre is clean and staff are friendly. While you wait for your movie to start, enjoy cute advertisements featuring not only local businesses, but silly promotional segments made by the owner of this endearing mom-and-pop cinema. The theatre is rarely crowded- if you're lucky you may even get the theatre to yourself. It's our personal theatre. We love it here! read more

Usually have a great experience here BUT, last night was different: Had to wait over 15 minutes for the film to start -no sound, no picture just a dead, dimly lit theater room. Someone got up from there seat and mumbled that it was "the second time this has happened" while they were on their way to complain. The intros and previews were also skipped as Cumberland tried to rush the showing because they were behind. If it was a $5 Wednesday matinee maybe? But this was a full-fledged Saturday night showing. This is an apparently new theater in the area, and I came here for the first time last night. The pros are that is was not very crowded at all so there were less than 10 people in the theater, the ticket and concession lines were very short, and the lobby is very nice with some large couches that were nice while we were waiting for my mom. All of the employees were interacted with were very nice. The negative was really just the cleanliness factor. The bathroom was not very clean and smelled pretty bad. I would come back for movies in the future if I'm in the area. read more

great location! Fun games room. Comfy area to sit and watch up coming movie trailers. Most staff members are happy and talkative. The variety of movies and the muti- rooms to watch them a plus each numbered and easy to find. Bathrooms need updating. Water never shuts off right away, the sinks never have liquid soap, the paper is seriously hard, but otherwise then that I would agree with few other people the theatres themselves need proper cleaning before the next showing. The heat in winter is hardly on through the whole movie so bring a jacket or you will freeze. Summer time air conditioner is on and you will freeze. Great seats and at times way too loud of volume of movies so consider where you sit. read more

I have found this theater to always be clean and smells like yummy buttery popcorn! The Staff is friendly and helpful. I require wheelchair seating and it is more than adequate PLUS my family or friends can sit with me. Lots of time choices for your movie, too. My favorite movie theater, for sure! read more

We have had two birthday parties at Cumberland 12 and each time it was a wonderful experience. The organizing team of birthday party was very helpful. Also very reasonable on the pocket. The room they give for an hour after the movie is already equipped with things you need like plates, napkins and so on.Pizza is yummy and drinks of choice. A must try read more

I love this movie theater! What a great place to see new releases or old favorites and it's sitting in an out of the way place North of Plattsburgh, NY. I only just discovered recently because I happened to be in the area. The first movie I saw there was an early 11:00am showing of 'The Artist' in the middle of the week. I was the only person in the showing and maybe 1 of a dozen customers in the entire facility and it was awesome. I even bought a large soda and some popcorn with what had to be real butter on it ... sooo good. I've since gone back to see a few more movies and it is now my hands down favorite place to go to the movies. The facility is new and very clean and modern. It has stadium seating and advanced sound systems and digital 3D movie effects. It's an experience worth driving a little out of the way. read more
