I saw a bunch of mountain goats right next to the highway, and it was my first time seeing them since they're supposed to be shy! Be sure to drive slow so you can catch the wildlife and also not hit any of them. Some turkeys were there and they did not have any street smarts, if you know what I mean. Bridal Veil Falls is right off the highway, and very accessible. I also checked out Devil's Bathtub, although I didn't get in since it was freezing cold! Be aware that there are about 7 or so river crossings (you basically follow the stream up) so either be good at balancing on the rocks or be prepared to get wet.

The tour guide gave a few very SHORT ghost stories but we did not enter any of the buildings, we could barely hear our tour guide she just talked over the incoming traffic she does not talk loud enough for big groups we all try to squeeze in as close as we can and we still had trouble hearing her. she didn't really seem to know what she was talking about as she looked down on her phone and directly read information from her phone. I feel like I could've searched up and read this information pretty easily if I wanted to it was not in depth at all it left us wondering a lot of questions, there was a lot of vague details. She mentioned a murder and when they buried the guy they left his new around his neck showed us a picture but did not explain why. She talked about wild Bill and his gravesite how it gets graffiti and vandalized but again did not tell me why and as a huge fan of wild Bill I would love to know why people think that's ok to do to his grave. I could've got more information out of the ghost adventures episode than this lady. they moved a bunch of bodies from the cemetery but again never explained why they did that leaving this tour I have more questions. Bruce is as excellent tour guide! We took this tour on the Fourth of July and really enjoyed…read morelistening to the commentary as we drove through the Black Hills and Custer State Park. We made three stops, one and a half hours each. These stops were first at Mount Rushmore, next at Crazy Horse Memorial, and lastly at Custer where we also got to eat. Custer was busier than usual and we didn't get to eat where we wanted to because the wait was too long and we wouldn't have made it back to the bus in 90 minutes. Nevertheless, it was fun to be out there. After lunch we drove through Custer State Park and got to see a few more sights before driving back to the hotels in Keystone and Rapid City. We saw SO much in that one trip, and we learned so much from Bruce who really knows his history and has a fun way of sharing it.
