Place was really good. Got the pulled pork with Mac and cheese. Had a side of jalapeño poppers. No complaints here.

Lights glowing, vibes humming it's the kind of spot that practically demands a U-turn. Now listen when a place puts "custard" in the name, you don't argue... you commit. And that's exactly what we did. Grabbed a couple different frozen concoctions, passed 'em around like a proper taste test, and let me tell you worth every spoonful. Rich, smooth, the kind of cold treat that makes you slow down for a second and just appreciate life. But it ain't just about what's in the cup. The place is clean, the service is dialed in, and there's just something about it that feels... fun. Not manufactured fun real, old-school charm that's hard to fake. Bottom line? It made the list off looks alone but backed it up with the goods. Five stars. Would absolutely swing back through without thinking twice.

I had the Fudge Brownie Bliss with chocolate custard and it was awesome! I really liked the richness and creaminess of the custard and the deep chocolate flavor...it was sweet and delicious! Along with custard, they also have a variety of hot dogs, sandwiches, and other snacky foods. The customer service was always friendly.

Could have been cleaner inside. There was a drive-thru, but the oldest and I wanted to check out the inside. We ordered: + 16 oz. Christmas Cookie ($7.08) - this was the best one + 16 oz. Shark Attack ($6.48) - my youngest had to be different from our Christmas desires + 16 oz. Christmas Tree ($6.48) - it was okay. My daughters tried mine and didn't like the tang. I liked the vibe of this place right off the bat. It was clean, bright, and had a relaxed kind of feel to it. What really stood out to me was they had board games you could play while you enjoy your treats. That's a cool touch, especially for families. I ordered the shaved ice, sour blue raspberry flavor, and it really hit the spot. Don't be fooled by the name--"baby size" is no joke. It was plenty for a guy my size. We all had a good time hanging out and cooling off inside, especially since it was hot and muggy outside. Now the only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is the staff. They weren't rude, but they didn't really seem all that friendly either. No smile, no "welcome in," just kind of going through the motions. Maybe it was just a rough shift or bad timing, who knows. All that aside, I'd definitely come back again. It's a fun little spot with great flavors and a chill atmosphere. Just needs a little more friendliness up front and it'd be a home run.

Employees were friendly. One held the door for us after she cleaned a window. The second time I took the drive-thru as I was in hurry to finish some work later than evening. The service was great, patient, and funny. I like it when they hold the blizzard upside down before handing it to you even at the drive-thru window and the wind is blowing like crazy. My patient was happy first with her medium chocolate-dipped cone ($3.77) from 4.8.2026, then even more so with her Royal New York Cheesecake (cheesecake pieces with a strawberry center) blizzard ($4.74) on 4.16.2026.

Added a small sundae, I was happy. It really hit the spot. Service was fast and everyone was very friendly. Did the survey, got a free dilly bar too- was great on a really hot day a couple days later. I went back again today, got their $7 burger combo, it came out very fast, and was solid although the fries were not hot. I really like that you can have them not make your sundae when you get your food, so you can have it after taking your time without it being soup. The place has gotten a lot better than it was the first time I was here, I'm glad I came back.

Now the other alternative was Texas Roadhouse. Don't get me wrong, I'm regionally from where Texas Roadhouse was founded and it's huge, especially where I'm from. But part of my philosophy when traveling is to try someplace new, traditionally NOT a chain. So I gave this a shot. Cattle Baron reminds me of those old school steakhouses in the 90s that served steaks and an AYCE salad bar. Except it's much nicer ambiance-wise with a broader menu. I ordered the largest ribeye steak they had with a loaded baked potato, unlimited salad bar, a Coca-Cola, and a brownie for dessert. The total for ALL that ended up being $48.35. That's really cheap considering I had to be rolled out on a stretcher (joking). The most expensive item was the steak, in the $30-range but an unlimited salad bar for $4.95 and dessert for $6.95 can't be beat. The salad bar had everything you'd want in a salad bar with fresh veggies and toppings along with two soups, premade salads, and a sampling of sweet items like jello and fruit. I got 2 plates from the bar and two small bowls of soup. The steak and potato soup was good but the chicken soup was a bit salty for my taste. My steak and loaded potato was good and hit the spot. The potato was kind of dry, assuming it was a potato, already cooked hours ago and they just pulled it out to serve to me. After smothering it in butter and sour cream, the dryness disappeared. The steak was cooked medium rare, so no issues there but there was very little seasoning. I added salt and pepper to it, which made it a lot better. I wish it had a little bit more searing/char to it. I ended the meal with a brownie and ice cream, with caramel drizzle. The brownie was fairly large and warm, with a nice scoop of ice cream and ample ribbons of caramel sauce. It was really delicious and not too overly sweet! It definitely put me over the food coma edge. Service was good, but slow. My waitress explained to me that it was slow because a table of 39 people showed up, so she apologized. It didn't bother me though because I was so tired from working nearly 12 hours that day. I'm glad I supported local and my meal was definitely worth the price.

And this place delivers with a quiet kind of confidence. The pizza? A well-balanced composition crust with just the right snap, sauce that doesn't overreach, and toppings that know their role. The pasta leans into comfort, rich without being overbearing, the kind of dish that doesn't need reinvention to win you over. It's familiar but executed with care. Inside, the space is clean, composed, and inviting. Nothing flashy, nothing forced just a setting that lets the food do the talking. A solid pick. A refined pause. And when you're in Roswell, that's more than enough.

My oldest daughter and I were quickly seated on April 16, 2026, for lunch before her doctor's appointment. 1) the wait staff was short-handed and did NOT work efficiently. They took a long while to get requested items to us. 2) the food lacked flavor particularly with my eggplant parmigiana ($9.95 on lunch specials!). 3) the tea was exceedingly cloudy and did not taste good. 4) we were there for nearly an hour before our check was brought and did not get to try dessert! But this was an affordable restaurant that serves beer and wine. They offered excellent table bread - my daughter wouldn't stop pigging out on it. Lol. The lunch specials were a good deal. I liked their pasta e fagioli soup. Not my favorite since the pasta was so incredibly mushy, but still good. There are other places I want to dine at before trying this place out again, but I will return someday.
