Restaurant is nice, But I ordered the rib eye steak and I got a piece of fat that was just thrown on the grill , the girls (servers) constantly laughing looking at their phone, only came up to my table once. While visiting Roswell, we decided to eat here. While the restaurant was mostly empty, all the tables were filled with plates. Took about 20 minutes until we were seated. We ordered drinks and appetizers, but they never brought silverware or napkins. Eventually, we went up and asked for silverware and napkins, which then they gave to us. The service is what made the review lose stars. Food took a bit to come out, but this is what saved them. The food was really good! We had fajitas, chimichangas, enchiladas, nacho supreme, and a horchata. The enchiladas were ok, but still good. The chimichangas were freshly made and tasted the best! Fajitas were sizzling and full of flavor. You can also tell everything was home-made. If they fix the service, it would be an easy 5 stars. read more

Stopped in while we were in town for the UFO Fest. Love the chips and salsa. Crunchy, just the right amount of salt and the salsa had a lot of flavor. Had a jalapeño margarita. If you like spicy I recommend it. Many others I've had had no spice. Just sweet and maybe some jalapeño flavor. Not the case here. Sweet AND spicy. My lips were burning, and I loved it until the last drop. We also had the stuffed sopapilla. That was different, but really good. A sopapilla stuffed with beans, beef, and cheese covered in cheese. When you walk up you can smell the pastries and food which is what drove me in, the vibe is cozy and homemade. The pastries are all made there and taste amazing, we got churros, orejas, and payasos, all taste great. I'm really picky about my tamales but we picked up some red pork ones and the man helping us warmed them up for us as well. They were also very good! In town for work and was recommended by those that live in the area. The service was ok as it took a while to get refills and order otherwise everything went smooth. Restaurant: We stopped here on recommendation from a local and it's proximity to the UFO museum. I ordered Chile con queso with beef and my friend got tamales. I've had great Chile con carne and other Mexican restaurants and was expecting similar. It was literally just ground beef with shredded cheese on top. Nothing authentic about it. Not worth $7. My friend enjoyed her dish. Clearly I picked wrong. The facility seemed like it could be cleaner. We were constantly attacked by flies landing on us and our food the entire meal. This made me quite irritable. I was also overcharged for my meal and had to point this out. The staff was very nice and were working hard. I would return because of the food and cleanliness. We had a small Catholic church wedding and needed a restaurant that could accomodate 20-25 people for the dinner, on a rather 4 day short notice. We wanted information on group pricing and food choices. I called several other Mexican Cuisine Restaurants in Roswell, NM and was told by 2 restaurants that I would get a call back, 1 said just to make a reservation for number of people and no special deals....1 other simply said could not do it on a Saturday! I then called El Torro Bravo and spoke to the owner, and I must say, she attended me and my questions right away! We ended up meeting with her, and booking our wedding dinner at El Torro Bravo Restaurant. The food and service was EXCELLENT, and the place was Very CLEAN !!! I had a really good Margarita and taco salad, while our guests had the buckets of beers, and other food choices. The owners gave us a whole page of the menu and several other options all for the same price! Our tables were all nicely prepared, and even had the bride & groom table so beautiful! The music was very appropriate and they even offered to play different music if we wanted. I am so glad that we found El Torro Bravo Restaurant!!! The place is just as awesome as the owners, service staff, and food ! I would surely recommend anyone to this place!! Just a note: I got a return call from one of the other restaurants while we were eating at this event, really, what does that tell you??? Nice little cafe on the way back to my place, I was hungry after work so I stopped in, I was feeling like some tacos..! Service was good, the beer was cold( which is a plus) and they had it on tap(which is a plus-plus).! The tacos were barbacoa(barracoa) anyway they are what I was looking for..! Nothing authentic about this. Seriously one of the worst meals I have ever eaten, ever. I only ate 1/2 and left, felt sick for most of the day. It will take care of that sweet tooth and not break the bank. Get some to snack on while walking around the little shops and grab some for the road.
