There was a gentleman who served us. The store sells masala chai packaged in small tins/bag, ground coffee, coffee beans, coffee accessories, flavour syrups, cookies, biscotti and so much more. There was one table with four chairs but it was used to place inventory. We took our drinks to go. We ordered the Velvet Latte with Oat Milk and Pumpkin spice latte. The Velvet latte tasted very similar to a Spanish latte. The pumpkin spice was pretty good except I found the syrup to be a bit too strong for my taste buds. It's a good spot to try if you're in the area and want to try something different.

So thankful for Yelp letting me know they're here, I managed to get a great caffeine fix here. As soon as I opened the door, the I smelled beans roasting in the back. I ordered a latte to try. I was quickly presented with my latte with a heart latte art. When I went to take a picture the owner/barista was embarrassed and laughed. She said it's not even that nice. I love all latte art because I know they're not easy to draw. The latte itself was great! It had a nice caramely flavour, a bit sweet even without sugar added and had a nice light aftertaste. Im not in stouffville often but will definitely make it a point in grab a delicious coffee or maybe even some beans next time I'm in the area

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

Atmosphere is old and random. No wifi. There is a power outlet by the window. In normal times, it probably fits about 25 people. This looks like quite the community hub as mentioned by others with all the local flyers and old books around. You can also play chess here. I like the branding also. I was disappointed in my experience and with other coffee options around, I won't be coming back.

The atmosphere here is A-OK... but I won't say it is too cool and funky! :P The inside is nice and cozy. Lighting is dimmed and the decor is rich and dark. Similar to a Salon. There are some comfy seatings of sofas and armchairs at the back of the coffee house. Medium Cappuccino ($3.50) that made from a 1930 Chrome Dome replica espresso machine is meh.. I found the roast are not strong enough for my tasting... Too milky and lacking the strong coffee taste.. More like a Cafe Latte... Barista is quite indifference... doesn't have a positive vibe and the energy... For The Love of Jo Coffee House is quite laid back and quiet on this Sunday afternoon... a good place to bring your laptop to use their Free Wifi to upload some yelp photos or write some reviews!

I don't remember what Gong Cha used to be. I want to say that it was Telus, but the store can't tell us if I'm right... haha. Anyway, this store is located at SmartCentres Stouffville. It's across from Canadian Tire. This bubble tea store is between a dental clinic and Subway. I have never had a problem finding a parking spot around here. I walked into Gong Cha. I was the only customer. There was a nice man who said hi. He wasn't all that chatty, but was competent and pleasant. I immediately saw croffles on the menu. I love them. I knew that I wanted one. Before walking into the store, I noticed the daily specials. The Thursday special is the honeydew milk tea. It seemed perfect. I ordered a medium, with no sugar and less ice. I also got coconut jelly. The payment machine was sluggish. The man had to reboot it. Once it was done rebooting, I was able to pay with my debit card. I tapped and all went well. He made my bubble tea first. It looked so cheerful. It was green with coconut jelly. I waited patiently for my croffle. He made it in the kitchen area, away from the bubble tea preparation area. I could smell yumminess. I was excited and quietly drooling. I went with a regular croffle with a light dusting of sugar. I like starting simple to begin with. It was packed in a recyclable box. I loved it. I thanked the man for everything and happily walked out with my goodies. In my car, I immediately had the croffle. It came on a stick, which made eating this crispy, hot-off-the-waffle-griddle perfect. It was buttery, flaky, and yummy. It was slightly sweet, which I thoroughly appreciated. I loved it. I want more! I had my honeydew milk tea after dinner as a dessert treat. It was delicious. Honeydew is slightly sweet to begin with. Going with no sugar worked well, especially with the added coconut jelly. The milk made it creamy. This drink truly felt like a dessert drink to me, minus the sugar high. It may be my new favourite bubble tea variety. Whitchurch-Stouffville has lacked a bubble tea joint for years. It's nice that it finally has a decent one. I'll be back for more bubble tea and croffles. It also has waffles that I'd love to try, too. (457)
