Queen's Hospital had the BEST robotic surgery equipment using the D' Vinci technology. I met with Dr Peers. He asked a lot of questions. I was prepared. I made my wife watch a YouTube real robotic surgery video the night before our meeting. Dr Peers asked why I elected robotic surgery and what I knew about robotic surgery? I described three incisions are made in my lower stomach. Two for the robotic arms and one larger incision for the suction and water tubes. My wife jumped in and added a plastic bag is inserted through that big hole. Then the robotic arms placed the prostate in the bag. My wife then described how amazing it was to see the doctor used the robotic arms to loop a string around the top of the bag. Then tie a knot sealing the prostate in the bag. Dr Peers was surprised and happy my wife was also involved with surgery procedure. My surgery was a success. Dr Peers removed all of my cancerous prostate and the area outside the prostate where the cancer was eating through. I did not need radiation or chemotherapy. That was a great outcome. I highly recommend Dr Peers. He is the BEST robotic surgeon in Hawaii.

He ordered an Xray (totally useless) & proceeded to tell me i couldn't possibly be feeling any pain because they hadn't moved. Then on 3/2022 I had a scan WITH contrast as pre surgery prep for TAVR. That scan discovered a renal mass. 5/26/2022 I had biopsy & cryoablation done on 2.1 mass. Had he LISTENED to me, he SHOULD HAVE ordered a CT Scan with contrast & my kidney cancer would have been discovered more than a year earlier!! He was rude & dismissive & I immediately complained to my referring GP after my visit. I will have follow up in 3 months & hopeful. But, I'm still FURIOUS at his indifference to my concern... do not recommend him, EVER!!

He always monitored my condition and recommended action. After learning that my primary care provider had never ordered a blood test, Dr Tanoue did so. If it wasn't for this blood test, I would not have known that I had a problem with my thyroid. His replacement kept me at bay when my first born was ready to crown which led to a coned-shaped head! I'm trying even harder now (compared to 10 years ago) to find another OB because lately I've been having symptoms which only now I'm more aware of and when I tell him about it, he makes me feel like there's nothing wrong. We were very scared and scheduled the surgery right away .The surgery was scheduled for 4 pm and the anesthesiologist stopped by and said that Dr Chow had SEVERAL surgeries scheduled that day . We found out after that He was going on vacation soon and had scheduled too many surgeries to perform that day before he left on vacation! All the surgeries ran late and my wifes was the last one , the surgery started 4-1/2 hours later than scheduled and ended at 9 pm ! Dr Chow was probably tired and not focused when Pat finally got into the operating room. He called me after 9 pm in the waiting area and said Pat had lost alot of blood and HE HAD NOT given her a transfusion! Chow visited her room and my wife had no feeling from the chest down. Chow visited Pats room the next day and said that he was sure the epidural was the reason she had no feeling and could not move her legs and it might take days to wear off? One week later Chow scheduled another MRI and took Pat back into surgery to try to fix what he had missed while rushing the first surgery and being fatigued. He came to Pats room and was very cold and said he always hated it when people left the hospital WORSE OFF than when the came in! He then said he would be off island [vacation] and his nurse LPN Shelby Wilcox would be covering Nurse Wilcox visited my wife only once in five days! And all the hospital nurses tried desperatly to contact her and Chow who did not answer or return calls for 5 full days! The hospital nurses were furious. . My wife had very low blood pressure 87 over 39 and she needed medication but hospital nurses could not reach WILCOX or CHOW!The Pali Momi Hospital head doctor started checking on my wife since Chow and Wilcox did not check on her or answer calls ! HE called Chow and got her the meds she desperatly needed! Before visiting Chow our life was good and she was walking and was normal! She became paralyzed from the chest down during the operation he had assured us would help her! Our life became a nightmare and she passed away less than two months after the operation. Her room mate in the hospital also was paralyzed during a surgery by Dr Chow and they both contacted many people who became paralyzed during Chows operations! Please stay away from Dr Raymond Chow ! Research his past history ! He has ruined many lives . My wife passed away less than two months after the operation ! Our life became a nightmare after Chow operated on her and she is missed every minute by me, her kids, grandkids and family and friends . Yesterday would have been my sweet wifes birthday . I am writing this because I promised her I would. CHOW is negligent, and cold hearted .

Most of the time they don't answer the phone. After I finally left a voicemail and hadn't heard back in several days, I resorted to messaging them via their Contact Us page. Then someone other than Megan called to tell me Megan would submit the paperwork and reach out after insurance approved it. Fast forward a few weeks later, Megan calls to schedule me for surgery 11 days away. That's fine, except two weekends and Thanksgiving are a part of those 11 days, land she says they need the results asap, so I had to rush around to get 3 pre-op appts done in two days. Okay... except I go to get my neck scan done and they say they didn't get my referral. I left, came back a couple hours later, then I was instructed to return the next day because "sometimes it takes a bit to come in"... I go back the next day, and they Still don't have my referral. Then Megan is calling me to tell me I need to get the scan done. WOW. I finally had to tell her I don't know what they expect me to do, I go there and they don't have the referral but all you all can tell me is that you sent it and will resend it. Well obviously they're not receiving it so why do we keep doing the same method? Also, they clearly do not care for their patients if they know you need spinal surgery but don't mind having you drive back and forth for a few days to the hospital, park, walk to the lab, sit and wait (sitting was painful pre-surgery btw) every time. It's no surprise that they called to ask me to push my surgery back a couple of days. I don't see what the rush was anyway - they had me wait for weeks, then all of a sudden (after they know they'll get their money) we're in hyper speed mode. Fast forward to Post surgery and they send me to get scans Again. Different lab and guess what. Same story. I messaged the office and the person there was very short with me but sent the printout to my email to show the lab. Now I have a $400 bill that I'm seeing for the "first" time and the invoice states I'm being charged twice for late fees. I paid upfront for my portion of the surgery, why would I dodge a much smaller bill and be "late"? Also, I have no idea what the bill is for (X-rays are paid separately to the labs). I called and messaged the office numerous times to confirm. No one answers the phones and they haven't responded to my messages for the past week. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. I recommend you find a different provider that cares.

He went over my options on if I wanted to choose surgery or possibly a different avenue. We talked about recovery time and how the surgery could affect me positively or negative in the future. We also discussed different avenues of pain management. When I decided to hold off on surgery his office referred me to another doctor where I have schedule an epidural. Everything was done in a quick and professional manner. I'm hopping that I'll have great results with the epidural and find some pain relief there. I am writing this review because it is incredible and inexcusable to me that this office can ignore…read moretheir own patients. I broke my foot in three places and was in a lot of pain. I saw Dr. Harris who I have to say was excellent. He took care of my broken foot and also injected my knee and my hip and solved some other issues. However, my broken foot was extremely painful. I took pain medication as per prescribed, I do not like pain medication so I tried to not take it as much as possible. However, at the beginning my foot was so painful I could not put any pressure on it or sleep however, when I needed more pain medication this office completely ignored me. I called several times and I was told someone would get back to me and they never did. I was without medication for an entire week and almost had to go to the emergency room, I just laid in my bed and waited it out until somebody called me one week later! When I told Dr. Harris what was happening he apologized. However, this same scenario repeated itself a month later I wanted to come in and get an injection in my foot so that I would not need any more medication, but I could not get an appointment and I also was having a lot of trouble walking, I called the office and asked for some pain medication and an appointment. They would not refill my prescription unless I came. I was ready willing and able to come in but I could not get an appointment! Then the doctor was going on vacation so I asked if I could at least get something to get me through the week so I could work and then I would come in. No answer. Then the doctor came back from vacation and I tried to get into see him but I could not get an appointment. I asked to speak to him on the phone and they said they would call me back and they didn't. He also told me to message him through the portal which I did, now it is Friday and I couldn't bear to go another weekend without any medication to help me walk. I messaged him in the portal. They read the message at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and no one ever got back to me. So here it is another weekend where I will have to lie in my bed because I cannot walk without pain. This is nothing short of malpractice, and I am disgusted with this office and their lack of communication. I saw another doctor in this orthopedic group several years ago for another broken bone and she was amazing. She always called me back when I called and she checked up on me after surgery. If I was in pain, she gave me advice and told me what to do prescribing whatever I needed in addition to physical therapy. As I said , Dr. Harris is technically very good and he seems to be a very nice guy, but his talents are wasted in an office with little to no communication. I will be finding another orthopedic doctor.
