Disgusting food awful service and decor is bad. That's all I have to say about this place.

Review update: it has been 6 days since our meal order and pick up at Palio's. All 4 of us have tested positive for Corona Virus in the last 4 days. The tracing brings us back to Amarillo for food on Wednesday 11/25 and hotel stay in Lubbock the same night. The Hilton we stayed at has Covid cleaning protocols- who knows if they are legit. Great lunch special: your choice of lunch entree, salad, and a drink for $9.99. The salad portions are very small, but the food and service and cleanliness of the restaurant is always excellent. They have a full bar and great selection of wine, beer, and spirits. My parents and I go at least once a week. We are obsessed with the chicken Florentine and the green chili chicken. We got delivery. The Greek salad was good with all the required items with a bonus:sun dried tomatoes. The dressing is not a Greek dressing and the feta isn't the best but for the price it's excellent. We got the Molly Pizza and it was good. I'd like to try one of theirs without so many ingredients. Ordered multiple appetizers, a pizza, ranch (which we never received), and 2 pasta dishes. Our total was around $45 and I didn't mind it that much until I tried the food... All of it was mediocre at best really. I'm baffled that it has all of these high reviews. The cheese on all of the dishes were completely congealed when we received them. Good sandwiches, plan to come back to try their pizza. The meatball sub and gyro sandwich were good. The decor seemed minimalist, decently well lit with special bulbs. It echoes a lot with the concrete floors and other hard surfaces, I imagine if it was packed, you may not be able to hear well. read more

We had a decent experience at palio. My husband ordered pasta with grilled chicken spanich mushroom. It was fairly good. Although the sauce could be from a jar though. I ordered the Greek gyro. It was ok. It wasn't too bland with the sauce. But the meat was too dry and overcooked for sure. The service was good. I had a moscato punch and they gave me a long Island for free. That made me pretty happy. We also had a pizza to go. It was Mediterranean and Hawaiian half and half. It was decent. But definitely not as good as fire slice or 575. read more

One kids meal wasn't put in the order at all and the other was a ridiculously small portion. The garlic toast that came with the meatballs was barely edible. Palio's - 1400 - 10.24.15 We were in the area with a craving for "something we haven't had lately" so we chose Palio's for a late lunch. I was really surprised at how empty the place was for a Saturday afternoon, hoping it didn't mean bad things for the future of the business. The GM opened the door for us when we arrived, we were seated immediately and our server, Carson (also the bartender that day) came quickly to take our drink order. Again, I had to try the Bloody Mary - it was not the best one I have ever had, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I just like a little more spice and seasoning. Travis ordered the Maria's BBQ chicken pizza and I ordered the Noah's pizza. Our food came out quickly and everything was hot and fresh, with tons of toppings. We always enjoy Palio's Pizza for a quick meal on the go! Service is wonderful and the food is great. It isn't my "favorite" pizza in town, but the convenient location and quick service make it a regular dine-in pizza stop for us. read more

For some reason, I wasn't excited to eat here. But my wife dragged me in anyway​. First off, this isn't your typical pizza place. They have all sorts of flavors. I had a delicious pizza with pineapple, cranberries, cashews, onions, multiple types of cheeses and some other things. It was great!!!! Will not be returning here. My server Kristen was extremely rude to my wife but friendly to me. I'm not sure if she just hates other women or what. We even noticed spit in her drink. Ladies and Gentleman and Owner: Paul. I don't really know where to start. I spent 100.00 tonight only to get frozen meatballs and ingredients missing out of our salad. The pizza was bland and there was really nothing fantastic about our dining experience. Meghan/Megan was your saving grace she understood each of our concerns and addressed them like she cared, unlike your manager on shift tonight 1/7/2023. I addressed those concerns with him and he said that there was really nothing he could do. Which translated to either his hands are tied by the owner or there was nothing he WOULD do. If you're going to charge 7.00 for a salad then you may want to make sure all the ingredients are in it, start missing ingredients, time to start discounting the item. Also the frozen meatballs that I can find in sam's club, target, walmart and costco. You are charging 11.49 for that and I can spend 10.00 in a store and get a 3 lbs of meatballs and cook them myself. I told your manager that our server should of been informed and he had the audacity to say that she just got there and that she should have checked the out of food list. I spoke to our server Meghan/Megan and she said that they didn't tell her and that the sun dried tomatoes ran out mid shift. I told our server that I didn't blame her at all for not knowing because I could see it in her eyes that she had no clue the item ran out and if it ran out mid shift why is she supposed to suddenly go look at a list when she should be working. It is YOUR manager's responsibility to inform the employees something ran out, not throw them under the bus to make himself look like what? someone special who doesn't have to take accountability. I was going to call you personally but decided that you need to be held accountable and need to get your higher standards back. What is even more shocking is there is a grocery store right by you and no one could run over to get tomatoes once they saw they were running low? Either way this is not alright. Also, you are charging your customers to use a credit card and I'm here to tell you, that if you produced full prepared dishes not missing ingredients and a better superior product then maybe you could charge better prices dare I say earn the right to raise prices then you wouldn't have to charge a credit card fee at all. You have all the symptoms of a business that is starting to struggle and if you can't get this right then you will deserve to close. Also customers beware that they are not only charging you the tax they are legally obligated to charge, they also use the tax and the credit card fee to bolster the pre-figured tip amounts on the check. THIS IS WRONG and ignorant. Tip should only come from subtotal, nothing else. read more

Delicious, loaded with fresh ingredients, crispy yet almost melt-in-your-mouth crust, ordered the Palio Vegetarian - an exceptionally well balanced mix of bite-size fresh veggies over a nice brush of red sauce. Really tastes healthy. Server Lauren was super friendly, ready to make good recommendations, gave us samples of wine and beer selections. Would ask for her and order same again in a heartbeat. Only Con: ordered add'l hamburger topping that was forgotten until Mgr came over to ask if we were satisfaction, then had a generous portion prepared and delivered halfway through eating and didn't add it to our bill. I used to love this place. Their calzones were always delicious but now that the mask mandate has been lifted and places are opening up fully this place is definitely different. We waited an hour to be seated which i wasn't too surprised by since people are wanting to get out and eat again. But once we got to our table it just continued to go down hill. The service was just ok. The wait stuff didn't seem like they cared. They messed up my drink order multiple times and the calzones weren't even fully cooked. The food inside wasn't warm and it was doughy. We had to ask multiple times for more napkins and cutlery. Hopefully this place goes back to its formal glory because if not there's no sense in spending my money somewhere when there is much better food and service elsewhere! read more

Okay, okay, so I am a little bias about this place since they were started in the DFW area BUT COME ON! I have honestly never had a bad pizza from this place and get people to try it all the time (never had a bad review from someone!). The pizza honestly tastes the same as the ones in Dallas, which makes me think of home and they are pretty filling and huge. I would definitely suggest sizing up or ordering multiples of the pizza. My ultimate favorite will always be the Nutty Chicken - roasted cashews, spinach, chicken and olive oil (hold the mushrooms, please!). Overall, their service has always been pretty fast, the pizza is always fresh, and the employees are always friendly. It is a large, open area and always good for big parties! WOW! Did lunch there today with a friend. Had the Mediterranean Lunch Pizza with Salad AND Drink for about $10. It was excellent. I love the Pizza Crust. Tonight we needed a pick-me-up. Went to Palio's. Hector is the best manager, and Tristan was our server. We met Tristan on the first night he worked there. It was a hellish night, but he worked really hard. The transformation has been amazing. He's now a great server, the pizza was perfect, and the beer was icy cold, just like I ordered. Kinda like a pizza but a whole lot like a Saltine cracker. I thought I would try a pizza from somewhere other than the major chains we have all grown to hate. Googled a few places, read a few reviews and people seemed to like it. If I read enough reviews maybe I could have figured out it was thin crust but you would think it would be written on the website somewhere. I find it hard to believe some people actually prefer it. I carried out a King that pretty much had no flavor. Hell as thin as it was, I thought I was eating the box. Maybe they forgot the dough and just sprinkled a few toppings in the box? That would explain the taste. Not to leave an unfair review, this is the only time I have been there. They have other items that may be great. The staff at the counter were friendly seemed to enjoy their job. Needless to say, the pizza is not for me. read more

I didn't take photos of the food but here's my review. When a restaurant is a "restaurant AND bar", it's essentially more one than the other. This place is more bar than pizza. I say this because, although I didn't try the pizza, the menu is obviously showcasing its pizza as the highlight. Husband and I spent the night in Amarillo. We ate at Palio's as it was near our hotel. We had a Jimmy's Pizza, which was very good. I had a glass of house Pinot Grigio, which was excellent. Besides pizza, they have pasta dishes, subs and salads. Our waitress was terrific. Kept checking back to see if we needed anything. Palio's is very clean, all staff was wearing masks. Third time is the charm...Suggest that you eat in rather than ordering take out. This is the only place in town that we can find a Gluten Free Pizza(Crust is amazing)... Try it without cheese. The vegetables on the pizza are fresh and crisp, which taste amazing. read more
