Ambience and restaurant was great. Appetizers and garlic bread started everything off well. My wife had a fettuccine Alfredo which was good but bland. Wasn't gross at all just was missing something. My spaghetti marinara was very good with the exception of the calamari being a bit tough. Presentation on that dish is a little lacking but I believe the sauce being so thin and juicy limits the presentation. We had dinner with a friend. We had a nice booth and were able to enjoy a nice meal with our friend. The service was very good. An order of focaccia bread was brought to the table. We asked about the house wine and we were told that it is Jackson & Triggs, not a winery known for good wines. We shared an appetizer of dry garlic cajun spareribs. The ribs were delicious, well seasoned and nice and spicy. We received 9 very good sized ribs. The ribs were also very well cooked and nice and moist. For our main course my husband and I shared a create your own pasta with penne, arrabiata sauce and mushrooms, onion and garlic. Our friend had the appetizer size spaghetti and meatballs. He received 2 large meatballs served over a very generous portion of spaghetti. Our friend enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. Our pasta was decent. I like going to Paliotti's for dinner. With every meal they serve you, they give complimentary focaccia bread with balsmic vinegar and olive oil for dipping. I had the Spaghetti Carbonara with the green salad. The salad had a fresh assortment of vegetable and drizzled with house made dressing. The spaghetti was good, although the alfredo sauce was not very fresh. The chicken and bacon in the dish was fine to say the least. The workers were pleasant and courteous to my needs. The establishment had a notable Italian theme, as if you were in a neigbourhood in Italy. I have eaten at this restaurant and had mostly enjoyed their entrees. I recommend Paliotti's for anyone interested in fine dining and is keen on Italian cuisine. read more

My aunt, boyfriend and I ordered through skipthedishes. My aunt got the seafood alfredo, boyfriend got tortellini and I got ravioli. My aunt noticed how big and flavourful the Shrimp were. She cannot stop raving about how delicious her dish was. Boyfriend kept saying how amazing his dish was. And mine was also amazing. It was creamy, it had sausage, chicken and bacon. Mushrooms and sundried tomato. It was so filling and they do not skimp on the serving sizes! We ordered garlic bread and we also recieved focaccia with balsamic vinegrette and both were so delicious!! I have eaten at this restaurant for many years and this was by far the worst meal I have ever had. We both had the Surf and Turf, which turned out to be a pile of heavily over-spiced penne with one prawn and the thinnest slices of meat possible. The waitress clearly understood that we were unhappy with the meal - in addition to telling her it was terrible, we left virtually all of our food. This was our first visit to Paliottis and we were not disappointed. It was super busy on a Friday night and the atmosphere was lively. Our hostess was super sweet and we were seated quickly. The appetizers were delicious, especially the marinara with the fried ravioli. The focaccia bread was soft and crunchy. The garlic shrimp was smothered in butter and cheese, amazing. The fettuccini Paliotti was incredible with huge chunks of bacon and chicken. The rosè sauce soaked into the perfectly cooked pasta. We capped it off with coconut cheese cake and chocolate pecan pie. Love the food, but their service is the worst! Waited 25 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us - asked who our server was - and watched as two people fought over who would be stuck with us!! Server guy finally came over and asked how we were doing, told him we felt invisible, and he said he takes ownership over any issues, but never said sorry. He said he'd bring us water right away, but we finally got some from another person 15 minutes later :S. We had to flag him down to order our dinner and still had to wait almost an hour after that for our food. He kept saying it would be up soon, but nope. Finally, after watching others receive their orders, even though they ordered after us, he came and said they'd dropped our receipt on the floor and that's why it was taking so long - then he said kidding...really don't think he was. When we asked for the bill after staring at each other for 10 minutes after we were done, he asked how everything was. I told him it started out rocky and got a bit better towards the end. He seemed surprised and again said he takes ownership over everything that happens - still no apology! Sunday Lunch, Table of 8 The service was a with a smile, but relatively disorganized. I felt like their was not enough communication from the wait staff about what was going on with the meal delays. Bread service was slow to arrive, soup/salad course came quickly after but then we waited almost an hour for the mains despite the restaurant only having four other tables. In total, we were inside this place for almost 2.5 hours. The three star rating is because the food was good. Not one complaint about anything from any guest! I enjoyed the Italian Wedding Soup to start which was better than most; quality broth, appropriate ingredients and tasted rich without being oily or heavy. Next up was a very tasty Chicken Parmesan, nice hints of Basil in the red sauce, breading and cheese ratio was great, not overcooked at all. Veggies and a large enough helping of Spaghettini that you'd easily be stuffed and/or take some home for later. The food was absolutely amazing! Best local seafood pasta I think I've ever had. So saucy. And you pick which sauce you want! Lots of seafood! I had Rosé and she had Alfredo but there were more options. The fresh bread and oil was delicious. My wife RAVED about her escargot (no thanks lol) My bruschetta was crispy and fresh. Waited 1.5 hrs and still didn't have food. Arrived at 130 pm on a Sunday. Left without food at 3pm. -Tried calamari, was served 'broken' yogurt sauce with it. Looked like white water. - tried hot wings as a substitute, tasted like Costco from frozen - tried ceaser salad, croutons were mushy but the salad was very garlicy! (Yum in my opinion) could tell it was sitting in the bowl unmixed for a while (from experience) Ask for owner and was told he was busy. I insisted (firm not rude) Waitress didn't have uniform on and looked like she wanted to talk back but held it back. He came out and didn't want any feedback (about the food or service) or any questions when I mentioned over the last 10-15 years its been very slow Said -'so stop coming back' I don't complain much and am pretty reasonable as I've worked in customer service and restaurants so I get it but I will never recommend this place to anyone read more

We got there at 5:30pm it was quite and asked if we wanted patio or inside. We sat inside I found it to be a bit to chilly. We got a booth near the washroom. When I went to sit down I noticed seat had some things on the seat near the wall. I noticed some kid had took a pencil canyon to the wall. The interior had a ltaly theme it it . It was my daughter birthday and she had asked for a peach pinna colada. The waitress asked for two pieces of ID which we laughed, and said no it her birthday and still too young. What she really wanted a virgin. She replied oh and told her happy birthday. Our waitresses was friendly and knowledgeable with our question. She kept the drinks top while waiting and eating our meals. My husband had the 10 steak it was very tender and full of flavour the parmesan garlic fries were full of flavour and deep fried correctly. Veggie were cooked correctly. My daughter had the mediterranean seafood in a rose sauce She said it was delicious . I had the early bird special ( chicken pene con pollo) mushroom sun dried tomato and crepes in a rose sauce . When we were done and waiting for our check. our waitresses came from the back with a dessert just for our daughter. She told me it was soft and full of flavour. The food was amazing and portions was good too. I wish I was more hungry to experience the dessert. I ordered the chicken asiago ravioli for takeout. The guy who answered the phone asked if I saw the new menu. I told him no and that the old menu is on the website after he informed me that this dish now has sausage added. He didn't mention the prices increased as well. When I arrived to pick up my order the parking lot is small and there was no where to park at 8pm. Streep parking was found after a few mins of looking. The servers/bartenders are quite young (in their early 20's), food was good, portion was good, flavors were there. Really garlicky and rich. Would return! read more

I was here a few years ago and the service was slow to none. Husband ordered a bottle of red wine and they were out of it. Trying to pass off their house red as the wine and charge us for the bottle price. Too bad because the food is delicious if you are ever served it. Take out hard to get as well. We've tried to order pizza but it has taken over an hour just to pick it up to take next door. so this being my past experience and a couple years have passed, I thought let's give it a new try. March 10, 2023 review.... nothing has changed. We arrived at 5:30 pm, giving us plenty of time to have dinner before our planned evening (we thought). Placing our drink order, we waited about 15 minutes after receiving our drinks to place our food order. After that we didn't see our server again until we had to ask 4 different people where our order was as we watched other people get food (who were seated after us). By 6:30 we still haven't received our appetizer. By now we are not very pleased. when we do finally receive our appetizer, 6:40... I will say the food is delicious. That has never been an issue.. Great food. Just getting the food is the issue. we ended up having to get our main dishes to go so we weren't late for our other engagement at 7:00. so if you have lots of time to spend waiting for good food but don't mind mediocre service, then by all means try this place out. This restaurant used to be my families most favourite place to have a nice and YUMMY dinner. This time we were pretty disappointed. My sister and I ordered the spaghettini carbonara and they were completely different. One was very soupy and creamy and very light in colour. The other was thicker and much darker. They also made them both with regular spaghetti not spaghettini. We were very sad. My dads dish was also made wrong. His pasta was also supposed to be spaghettini but once again was served with regular spaghetti. My boyfriend, doe's recommended the veil. But the deep fried surprise was a shock. He didn't know that fried meant deep fried. He still enjoyed it. Just a heads up We will not be returning soon because of the disappointment that occurred. read more

Where we sat , you could directly see into the kitchen , where the owner and cooks work (one in particular decided to wear a mask under his chin .... not over his nose). Then as an awesome thing , he decides to give me the YOU CAN'T SEE ME John Cena wrestler wave when the waitress delivered my complaint I asked to see the manager and was told that was him?? As I sit here writing this review , the masks go up and down like a yo-yo. While travelling across Canada for a one month trip, we Yelp'd for good eats in Abbotsford and zeroed in on Paliotti's Italian Restaurant. Dinner for two on what turned out to be a birthday dinner turned out to be a great meal. The two sea food pasta dishes were awesome. Well prices, good portion with great ingredients Paliotti's did NOT disappoint. Service was excellent. We actually had four people serving us over the course of the meal. The staff were very attentive and even provided an excellent birthday dessert as well. We highly recommend Paliotti's. Well prices and a large menu selection. I'm talking here about the Chilliwack location, since I've never been to any other. And it tops my list for Italian food. Which I love. Have been for three lunches so far, and one evening meal. Each time I've been surprised, and delighted, not only with the service and graciousness of the servers and staff, but with the food! Good portion sizes, coast is reasonable, and the taste is wonderful! I want to eat it all there, but if I did they'd have to carry me home, so I take it with me, and enjoy it again, the following day! I went with wife and friends and they all feel the same way: we'll be going back. They were generous with the Parmesan, and one friend wanted more bread. Again generosity. Ordered takeout. The sandwiches were supposedly different but both had soggy yet chewy buns, globs of some kind of garlicky, fatty sauce and wilted mixed greens and a few diced tomatoes. One may have had the pesto...hard to tell. The pizza was similar. Big, chewy, doughy slices in gross sauce and greasy cheese. The pasta was ok but I have made similar buying those pre made "fresh" ones at the grocery store. Took 20 minutes longer than they said and I guess they spent that time losing the fries that were supposed to come with a sandwich. Booked for 6pm one week ahead of time as we had a show to go to afterwards, but when we got there the place was packed and we didn't get seated for 20 mins or more, even though we could see empty tables. The staff were just rushed off their feet. The food was good, but as we had a show to go to and were seated late, we had to ask our server to put a rush on our food. Once we eventually were able to order our meals, the food came up quickly. It was a rushed experience for us, would like to come back another time to experience what it would be like when the place wasn't as busy as it was and we didn't have somewhere else we had to go. read more

I came here with a group of 16 for a 6:30pm reservation on a Saturday night with my boyfriends family for his mom's 65th birthday. The restaurant is huge and can accommodate quite a few parties; however, when we arrived our table wasn't ready and we had to wait 10-15 minutes. Eventually we were sat upstairs which gave us some privacy with the exceptions of a few other small tables. The menu is huge. Overwhelming for someone like myself but good for a large better of people with varying tastes. I would say the wine menu is also quite decent with very good prices. Some of the promotions that night were that you could get a free side lasagna if you ordered a protein - such as steak, ribs etc. there were also $5 drink specials.- highballs, 6 oz glass of house wine and peronis. Though where there seemed to be an ok and positive start, it began to really go downhill from there. I understand that large parties require some patience on the customers part but when your food order takes 1.5 hours to come (and all in all 2 hours from the time of your reservation), that's really not ok. There were two young children with us who were starving who ordered a children's portion of lasagna and chicken strips and fries. This does not take this long to prepare! Luckily we had our wine but this was also quickly running dry. We were reassured a few times that the food was coming but it never came fast enough. There was adequate service from the bussing staff- filling out waters and giving us bread though it seemed the server herself might've been avoiding us knowing that the kitchen was so backed up. The food eventually came. Most of us enjoyed our food (very standard pasta dishes, nothing to write home about); however my boyfriends order of ribs was dry as hell. It was literally jerky but I enjoy jerky more than what I tasted. It came with a paltry side of mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies. He had wanted to side lasagna ( the whole reason for ordering the ribs) but they 'ran out'. How do you run out at prime dinner time? We were less than 10 minutes into digging into our meals when wait staff came to the table to ask if we wished to pack up our food. This question really came off like they wanted us to leave. One of the parts we couldn't understand either was that it was a reservation for a birthday but there was not happy birthday sung or anything. We observed other parties down below us who had sparklers and singing. I guess we were too much hassle by that point. I must say given all of this the wait staff was very gracious and this is why they deserve the second star. We had a few items taken off the bill ( including the kids) as well as a discount on the food. It's really unfortunate that they had to deal with most of the grief when understandably they might not have a lot of control. I live no where near this restaurant so I don't anticipate going back anytime soon and fortunately we didn't let this ruin a special birthday. Though I would warn others to reconsider if considering a big party here. The smaller parties seemed to get better service. We saw all the tables upstairs with us eat and leave before us. Including one party who waited 45 minutes for a table (arriving at the same time as us), got seated near us, ordered, ate and left before we received any of our food.[ read more

I've been wanting to go there for a few years and finally made the plunge. Entering the restaurant you suddenly get hit with aroma's of what they cook and believe me you will enjoy it. Made reservation and seated immediately. Ordered garlic shrimp appy and the shrimp were cooked spot on. Get the focaccia at the same time so you can dip the bread in the garlic lemon sauce too. The main course was no disappointment and though we ordered two different entrees, both were solid in flavour and portions. So much I even had enough to cook some protein the next night and enjoy the leftovers. Waitresses were attentive and not intrusive with our dinner and evening. OK got our food and my sauce is so thick the whole dish goes into my fork when I twirl! !
