I felt like some Italian food and wanted to go try a new restaurant. When I arrived at Frankie's Italian restaurant in Chilliwack, it was moderately busy, yet I was still able to get a table right away. I ordered the Shrimp Tagliatelle for my entrée. It came with Focaccia bread and balsamic vinegar for dipping. The bread was very good, especially paired with balsamic vinegar. The entrée, however, I did not enjoy very much. The white cream sauce lacked flavour and consistency, the pasta tasted like rubber and the shrimp (prawns) are overall average at best. The service was very good, and the establishment seemed clean and nice-looking in its countenance. I do not know if it was what I ordered or something else that was wrong. However, it will be a while before I try Frankie's Italian again. read more

My family ate at Frankies on January 19, 2026. We, along with friends and extended family, have been regular customers since the restaurant was at the Colosseum. My son and I both had the chicken parmigiana. My first bite tasted off, and I mentioned it to my family but continued eating, assuming it was an odd bite. By 8 p.m., I became very ill. At 1 a.m., my son also began vomiting repeatedly. He felt much better by morning, while I remained sick for another two days. I contacted the restaurant the next morning and spoke with Dave. The conversation was friendly, and he said the general manager, Amy, would call me back. Over two days passed with no call, so I followed up with Amy directly. She told me the chef had been informed and that she was already aware. I told her that made me feel like they didn't care, and she gave no answer. She suggested it was likely a virus and emphasized it was their most popular dish. I explained that the only food my son and I had in common that day was the chicken parmigiana. The only apology offered was, "I'm sorry that you and your son are sick, but...," followed by continued doubt that the restaurant could be involved. When she asked, "Well, what do you want me to do?!" I asked her to suggest something reasonable and was told she would call me back after she talked to the owner. When she did call a few days later, she stated they had conducted a "thorough investigation" and concluded the illness could not have come from their food. She reiterated that it must have been a virus, that they "never have complaints," and that they "make hundreds of these." No apology or expression of concern was offered...even regarding my child. I was then invited to return for another meal so they could "make it right," which I declined. I requested a refund for our family's meal instead and am still awaiting follow-up. Timely communication, empathy, humility, and professionalism matter--especially when a child is involved. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with management, and it has permanently changed how I feel about Frankies. It felt like they just valued "being right" and arguing. Even if they'd said nothing but "We value you as a customer, and to show that, this is what we want to do for you...!" you wouldn't be reading this right now and we'd still be fans. We will not be returning, which is difficult because this used to be a favorite place for many friends and family gatherings. read more

Since we've moved to Chilliwack we've drove by here lots of times so finally had a chance to go in to check it out and it was a great reward at the end of a crazy busy week! It's not often I order a pizza just for my meal when dining out but the Italian Ham & Mushroom (prosciutto cotto ham) with Truffle drizzle sounded great and Yes It Was! My wife chose the BC Salmon and she really enjoyed it. There were lots of perfectly cooked baby potatoes with it I was envious lol It looked delicious It was great to start with the bread and balsamic always a winner when done right Frankies has a really nice atmosphere and all the staff were really nice as well and they worked hard to keep the food moving to all the tables All aspects of that meal were executed perfectly making for a very enjoyable dinner! Definitely one of the nicest restaurants in Chilliwack On the pricier side but you still get value for your dollar We'll definitely be back sometime soon. read more

Food was great, lots of good options for pastas, pizza and kids menu HOWEVER, the service could be better. Half our order came out and was correct and the rest of the order wasn't. When the server came to check on it, we just explained what was wrong and what was missing. Next thing you know, the manager comes out and accuses us of making our server feel bad and telling us that "I heard you had a problem with our server". We thought the manager was quite rude to come out guns blazing, we explained to her what happened. Turns out the kids dishes didn't come with pop and ice cream as what was on the menu. We used to go to Frankie's quite a bit! Food used to be great! Our last experience was pretty bad, food was very greasy and average. The service was good. Our server was nice, friendly and dressed nice not like some other ones that didn't seem to fit in a classier Italian restaurant. I hope you are stepping it back up! read more

A friend and I totally enjoyed our dinner here last night. I had the lasagna and it was delicious it came with some freshly baked bread which complimented the meal great. I recently tried to take my sister out for dinner to celebrate her birthday but when we arrived we sadly realized there was nothing she could eat here due to there being no vegan options for food. The selection of non vegan foods looked to be a nice variety but other than having a soup to offer there didn't appear to be much. We sadly had to go else where to celebrate the special occasion. Would recommend for people with no dietary restrictions, but not to vegans. The inside decor is beautiful and very elegant. It looks like a lovely place to dine. We ordered spinach dip and the prawns for a starter and I had the mushroom ravioli and my husband had the shrimp scampi. All the food was delicious ! BUT the portions are not large. You will not get really full or have leftovers to take home and it was not cheap. All of this was an issue for my husband who is a big eater. We spent almost $100 and he is used to getting pretty full for that price lol. But the food was good and I would definitely be back. I just won't go really hungry. read more

My family and I used to dine at this restaurant before it moved locations every second weekend as a tradition, it was delicious food and generous portions. We absolutely loved Frankie's! We recently came to the new building and the hostess wasn't very polite.. the waitresses were doing their job but weren't interacting much, just interested in getting the order. The food was extremely overpriced for such small portions and the quality overall has gone down substantially. Will not return. It's disappointing, as this used to be such a beautiful place to dine. If you're looking for fine dining with good quality food I would not recommend going here. Atmosphere and building is nice, but that's about it. read more

I found that their are very few place in Canada that one can experience truly authentic Italian cuisine and I mean authentic. Having traveled (eaten) my way through most of Italy over the last few years. When in Canada I strived to find an Italian restaurant for the moments that you crave the high quality iconic classic dishes like tagliatelle bolognese or just some simple bruschetta with no airfare required. I found that place, turns out it's still a 1000km drive from my house which is fine because I would be at Frankie's every night if it were in my town. It's that amazing, we tried the antipasto, bruschetta and ceaser salad for appetizers all were amazing and the best that we have had in Canada hands down. First course was more bruschetta and pizza (Fungi, prosciutto cotto ham) all I can say is the pizza tasted exactly like the pizza in Naples, Italy just amazing. Second course was all pasta's I tried the NONNA MARIA'S LASAGNA and the miss's tried the spaghetti and meatballs, my daughter tried the TAGLIATELLE BOLOGNESE. They are also seasoned Italian travellers (eaters). They were impressed with the dishes and their amazing resemblance to the ones that they had in Italy. Desert was a simple TIRAMISU also amazing. Along this 4hr gastronomic journey at Frankie's just like Italians, we drank Italian beer (Peroni) sampled some Italian wines had some grappa and lemonchello all terrific and authentic Italian quality. In closing, if you know and love Italian food in its simplicity made with Italian sourced quality ingredients. Like we do you will love this place. read more

We capped our 3 day out of town trip at this elegant fine dining gig @ Chilliwack. I called to book a table for 3, we were greeted and welcome by courteous hostesses , unfortunately we were ushered to a wrong location where we end up sitting with a big party celebration . It took a while before we got transferred to a new table where we finally order for our food. My lovely wife ordered the signature Frankie's burger, she loves it except the bread is a bit burnt but the patty is juicy and delicious. My son Jeremiah ordered kids pizza, not bad at all and I ordered chicken Alfredo, sauce is perfect and taste is great. Our server- Kaitlyn (?) I hope I remember her name correctly was a pro and great host. She looks after our needs and pleasant to talk to. Will check them out again next time we're in the hood. We went for dinner at Frankies yesterday on our way home from the Okanagan. We love the food, and the atmosphere everytime we have been. We looked them up and saw they were open for dine in service :-) As always we had an amazing experience. Caesar salad which I've had in the past was half of what it was. Taste was the same. The salmon I had with it was a half portion of the past. We tried Frankie's on a Friday. It was really busy, but they accommodated our request for the patio which was just being wiped down. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was really great. We had a Frankie's caesar and a beer to drink, followed by the smoked olives for appetizer. I had the mushroom ravioli - really really rich! But, so so good! Husband had the casarecce boscaiola - also delicious. I am new to Chilliwack but I heard how Frankie's used to be tucked away in Prospera Centre. I can only imagine that they're doing killer business in this new, spruced up, more visible location. We will be back for sure! read more

I had lunch here on Saturday, and was the second time I've been there for lunch on a weekend. The first time we had pasta dishes, soup for an appetizer, and was quite pleased with the meal. This weekend we both ordered the Frankie's Burger, one with fries the other with polenta fries. I took a bite of my burger and discovered raw meat on the inside. Not pink, but raw soft uncooked hamburger. The other burger was quite pink, but not raw. I sent my burger back and the server was apologetic and got me a new burger which arrived after my partner had finished hers (reluctantly due to the pink meat). I asked for a shot of bourbon to try to kill any bacteria from the raw meat (I've heard that can work), which they provided at no charge. My new burger was blackened and charred/crunchy on the outside, but cooked through. In retrospect, I should have sent it back too. We were charged for both burgers. The polenta fries were delicious, though quite a small serving. If you go to Frankie's, order something Italian. Do not order the burger. I feel lucky to have got away without food poisoning. On my previous visit, they were certainly a 4/5 which led me to increase this rating accordingly. read more
