I was referred to Spring Valley by a close friend who had only received preventive care there. I initially went in for a routine cleaning and wisdom tooth removal. During my exam, I was told I had multiple cavities and that one tooth needed a root canal. The first red flag for me was that they didn't accept my insurance and strongly encouraged me to move forward with extensive additional treatment. I was presented with several treatment plans totaling over $8,000, which made me uncomfortable. Ultimately, I only approved a wisdom tooth extraction, a cleaning, and one filling. During the procedure, I distinctly felt the dentist shaving down the tooth that I had only authorized for a filling. Two weeks later, I began experiencing severe pain on the same side where the work had been performed. When I finally returned, expecting a post-treatment evaluation to determine why I was in so much pain, I was instead presented with another treatment estimate for over $2,000--even though I had insurance at that point. I've always had anxiety about going to the dentist, and unfortunately, this experience has only made that fear worse. I left feeling that my concerns were overshadowed by discussions of additional treatment and costs rather than finding the cause of my pain. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. read more

Mady Dental is a great place to visit or bring your family for most dental needs. I've always found the staff very friendly and helpful. They offer a plan for people without dental insurance that can save you some $$$$. If a procedure is beyond Dr. Mady's expertise he is quick to recommend a specialist for you. I saw a recent bad review that said the staff was rude. I can't imagine that and if you check out his other reviews you'll see that he finds many people are rude to him. Perhaps he's the one that is obnoxious? One caveat... there's a full flight of stairs to get to the office and I don't think there's another way to get up there. read more

Was on a trip visiting the NJ area for a wedding when I Chipped my tooth! Day before the wedding I was to be a bridesmaid for! Of course, I didn't want to be seen in all those pictures with a chipped tooth. Dr. Mady and his staff squeezed me into his already full schedule and took care of me. My tooth looks great and even better than before it chipped! The entire process was seamless. I've been to many dentists over the years (unfortunately I've had very troublesome teeth with lots of issues) and I can truthfully say that Mady Dental is the best I've been to for several reasons. Most importantly, Dr. Mady is super relaxed, laid back, yet totally confident in his work which is incredibly comforting especially when you are nervous about a procedure (which I basically always am!) I've been in his chair several times now for different types of dental work - some more invasive and involved than others - and each time I am totally at ease and leave thinking "wow, that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be". His staff is also excellent as well - such a nice group! They make sure that you are fully aware of your dental plan and procedures and they are all very patient. The office is very modern and comfortable. They offer free nitrous (which is often very helpful) among other things! At my very first visit, I decided right away that I was going to sign up for their annual membership, which includes a discount on all procedures, two cleanings a year as well as x-rays! Somebody with no dental insurance paying out-of-pocket, this was a no-brainer. It just makes sense. I can't say enough good things about this place, highly recommend it! read more

I had been in pain for months with my wisdom tooth however, when going to my scheduled dentist visit to get the wisdom tooth pulled it turned out to be something called a "Hot tooth" . A very rare case to have this ...yet, During my visit the Specialist made sure I was aware of what was going on and treated the condition with great knowledge. I almost thought there was no hope for me but, he worked his magic and managed to remove the tooth within 60minutes. I almost couldn't believe it !!! He's such a great Doctor !!! And very skilled . After spending over 30 minutes entering online data required using their New Patient web form, I arrived at the office only to find that it wasn't received! After being seated in the dentist chair, I was expressing my displeasure with the dental tech and she basically couldn't care less. I left the office furious and eventually contacted the office manager Casey. He admitted that the New Patient WASN'T working (not s**t) and would have the tech team look into this. Dr. Mady did contact me to understand what happened, however I will NEVER go back. If you are looking for proper CUSTOMER SERVICE, I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I had so many problems with our dentists and hated having to go, until I found Dr. Mady. Dr. Mady is so nice and helpful. If I ever have a problem he always calls me back as early as he possibly can. would never go back even if i was in an emergency. only reason they got 2 stars is for one of their dental assistants. dr mady is a nice guy, but definitely just doing it for the money. never in my life have i had work started & then not completed because they wanted the payment at that time in order to complete the work. then when payments were made, they slowly got more & more expensive & asking the lady at the desk for help is a nightmare. i believe her name starts with an L, so beware, unless youre looking for someone to jump down your throat before you can even finish your question, dont go here. not worth it. they tried to tell me that i needed a filling in between every single one of my teeth due to cavities. after being horrified(obviously), i went for a consultation with aesthetic dental in hackensack ( my absolute favorite dentist so far) who gladly showed me my X-rays (which mady rarely did) & i had about 2 of the 20+ they were trying to fill. it concerns me since they probably did work on me without even needing it, just for profit. go somewhere else, i promise its worth the extra drive no matter how convenient their location is. read more

Today I had my first visit with Mady Dental and I loved it. I've had my share of bad experiences with dentist in the past but I'm so glad I chose to come here. Every single person there is friendly, caring and attentive. They respect your appointment time, they listen to your concerns and immediately assist you with what you need. Melanie was the dental hygienist who took care of my cleaning today and she was the best. She really made me feel comfortable and welcomed. She took the time to thoroughly explain to me my dental condition and provide me with steps on how to take better care of my gums and teeth. From the x-rays to the cleaning she made sure I was educated on the whole process. She was by far one of the nicest and most caring hygienist I've ever met. Dr. Mady was also great. He was very professional and understanding. He listened to some of my concerns and got to work right away. I'm looking forward to my next cleaning. This was my second visit at Mady Dental and I had a great experience both times. I had a cleaning last time and the staff was friendly and accommodating; the hygienist, Manley, is excellent. Yesterday I went in for a filling; my appointment was at 5:40, I was sitting in a chair by 5:50, and home hanging out with my kids by 6:30. Dr. Mady and his staff are very professional and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I haven't gone to a dentist in a few years because I was always afraid, however when Andrea, the dental assistant, highly recommended Dr. Mady I decided to make an appointment. Melanie, the hygienist, was excellent at explaining thoroughly what she was doing with my exam and before I knew it the cleaning was done! Dr. Mady explained step by step a plan for my dental issues and is taking care of the most necessary ones first. I do not have dental insurance and their pricing is extremely reasonable. I preface this by saying I am not that easy to please but I find Dr. Mady to be very attentive and a knowledgeable dentist. His staff is very pleasant especially Jennifer and Marge. Although I hadn't been a patient for very long, Dr. Mady's confidence in his ability to deliver excellent results convinced me to proceed in getting veneers for my four front teeth. His self-confidence is well founded; I am very happy with my veneers. Although I was initially put off by the temporaries that I had to wear while my veneers were created, I did become accustomed to them. The permanent veneers look very natural and are a big improvement to my smile. The care that Dr. Mady took in matching the color and the shape of my teeth was exceptional and I say that from experience! He offers an attractive payment plan which I guess will assist him in building his practice but it is very helpful while it is available.
