If I can give this dealership 0 stars I would. The service department has gone to hell in a hand basket. The service manager Tommy was a nice guy and therefore he was promoted. The douchebag John Gentillo they hired in his place has no knowledge of cars and definitely not how to maintain nor service them. This specific dealership changed a wheel bering and did not perform an alignment. A few Months later I walk out my front door and I have two front flats. Needless to say I had severe wear caused from this mishap and my threads to my tires started to show on the interior front tires... It's doesn't take a genius to see that both tires are worn at the Same exact spot. While I was on the phone with my husband - John proceeded to argue with my husband and felt the need to tell my husband that he is a retired 24 year cop and went to reach for his (thank God) non existent gun and proceeded to call the Police because he did not like being asked very important and honestly easy questions. I had to borrow a car from a friend to pick up my husband from the dealership and go talk to John. I asked how much the two front tires cost he answered $270 each I explained that my husband purchased a tire insurance package for $500. He tried convincing me that my insurance wouldn't cover the wear on the tire- I explained to him it's his dealerships fault for not doing the alignment. I also told him it doesn't make sense that the original tire package of $500 plus his $600 with a total of $1100 for two tires seemed ridiculous to me. He said your husband was rude and I am not going to service your car. I said excuse me? He proceeded to add insult to injury and told me he would deal with me rather than my husband who btw is the legal owner of the car. I had to pay for the car to be towed to the nearest Tire Shop and get serviced there... Even the corporate customer service center didn't want to help with this matter. I will never buy/lease another Mazda. This company has some serious Customer Care issues and this Dealership should be shut down specifically. read more

I had an appointment to see a specific car that the salesperson told me was on the lot. He confirmed the appointment in the afternoon. I drove there in rush hour traffic over the Tappan Zee and waited nearly an hour for someone--anyone--to help me. I kept being reassured that someone would be with me momentarily to accompany me on the promised test drive. After I could take it no longer, I asked if I could at least go look at the car on the lot. The salesperson, Chris Kinder, chose that moment to admit that the car had been sold that morning. How curious! I wouldn't do business with these people if they were giving the cars away. Oh, and just FYI, I had come prepared to pay cash for a $30k car. I guess I'll take it elsewhere. read more

Unlike other reviews I have read, I had an outstanding experience. My salesperson Demitri was friendly and knowledgeable. I went 10 minutes before closing and still he stayed showed me the car and was even willing to take me for a test drive. I fell in love with the car and put a deposit down. The finance manager called me the next day, we worked out the details of the loan and I was very satisfied. I went in and the car was ready. Demitri came out after the sale and explained all the features. I was so excited I was barely retaining anything. I drove away a satisfied customer. To make things even better, I received a call the day after I drove away telling me, they found me an even better rate and they came out to meet in to refile the papers at a LOWER Rate. Chris was the manager that came out to meet me since I live in another state. He was professional and courteous. I had some additional questions regarding the features of the car, he stayed and explained it to me. I am looking forward to buying my next car from there. Thank you for a great experience!! This place is not even worth the time I'm taking to write this review. All I can say is STAY AWAY! Dishonest, rude, can't deliver as promised then give you a runaround. Ended up buying the same model/trim of car from a different dealer. The deal I closed took one afternoon. The deal with palisades was on its 4th and they were still trying to string me along. I purchased a 2013 Mazda 3 hatchback today and I had a very good experience here. Joe took us on a test drive and was pleasant, funny, and not at all pushy. After our test drive my husband and I researched prices and went to several dealers and finally found a price that we felt was a great deal--and a few dealers offered to match it. We went back to palisades because Joe was the first guy we met with and we wanted to give him the sale. Joe was able to beat the price. He also went above and beyond on the day we took the car home--when we found areas on the car that could use better cleaning he ended up cleaning it himself without even telling us--the only reason my husband and I know he did that is because we happened to look in the shop. Really great sales guy--he is a human first, salesman second--and we appreciated that. Our experience gave us a great feeling that we had purchased from the right person and dealer. read more

Unfortunately, my salesman told me whatever he needed to to sell the car and did not follow through. I was told scratches would be buffed out and they gave me a car with scratches down both sides, a cracked windshield and a broken handle on the driver/passenger side. I brought the car back to get the scratches buffed out and once again, they failed to do so. When I called to ask why they had not been buffed out, he told me he had done everything he could and that paint was left in the car so that I could try to "do it myself." I immediately called the manager, who just referred me right back to the salesman who failed to help previously. The salesman didn't get back to me for almost 3 weeks, admitting that he had forgot after I called expressing my frustrations. 3 months later, the scratches are still there and I have not heard from the dealership about rescheduling the work in almost 3 weeks. This dealership is untrustworthy and does not follow through. After this experience, I absolutely would not deal with them again. read more

Let's face it, buying a car is never a FUN experience....but if you could imagine a dealership that somehow finds a way to inject misery and frustration into every step of the process ....you've found Palisades Mazda. From the sales team's dishonesty, lack of knowledge and bait and switch tactics...the appraiser's major attitude - hardly made eye contact with me yet acknowledged every male in the building, and the manager's rude, nasty attitude towards me even after I purchased the car. I'm assuming it all starts with the manager's disposition and lack of respect for people, and it trickles down from there. They lied continually about the quote, swapped sales people mid cycle to re-neg on the deal which was already in writing, had me travel in from the city to have them cancel an appointment, they weren't educated on the car's features had me sitting in the dealership for hours. If they hadn't mislead me so far into the process and wasn't so time sensitive with my needs for a new car, I wouldn't have pulled the trigger with this dealership. I HIGHLY suggest you go elsewhere and avoid the stress, frustration and buyers remorse for giving this place business. read more

Very nice car. EXTREMELY poor service dept. Had a minor electrical problem with the car on Tuesday. Called dealer service dept 800 number Wednesday morning. Phone rang. No answer, went to voicemail. Called dealership directly on local number, asked for service department. Phone rang, no answer, went to voicemail. Left message asking for callback to make appointment. Went on their website, left service appointment request along with email address and phone number. DID NOT RECEIVE ANY REPLY FROM DEALERSHIP. Called again on Thursday, finally got someone to make appointment for next Monday. Brought car in. When asked about no reply from calls & email, was told that "sometimes we get busy" They need to order replacement switch. Had to pay for it then, was told it would be in on Wednesday and they would call us. Left 2 phone numbers. Called service dept late Wednesday afternoon. After a bunch of telephone tag, was told that part was indeed in. They never called me. Taking car for repair tomorrow, only because I have already paid for the part. Take your car somewhere else for service. read more

If you're looking for a dealership with integrity, stay away from Palisades Mazda. I tried to buy a car from them, and found them to be dishonest and the experience distasteful. Let me explain. I was looking for a used Mazda CX-9, had visited this dealership previously, and was contacted by the salesman who said he had just taken in a car that was perfect for us. My wife and I returned for a test drive and the car was exactly what we were looking for. He quoted a price that worked for us, and we wanted to move forward. Two days later, he informed us that the car we wanted was driven the day before, was in an accident and seriously damaged, and was now no longer available. Two days later, he presented us with information on a "sister car with similar specs", but at a price $1800 higher. The car was not similar, it was the same car. When we reached back to the General Manager, and to the dealership's owner, The Premier Collection, we received a phone call confirming what we already knew... that the salesperson had lied, that this was the same car, but that the price was now higher. I don't know if they thought they could get more money from us or others, but this was insulting and disturbing. The General Manager said he was "sincerely" sorry that we were lied to, but that he would not honor the price we were previously quoted, quoted multiple times. He offered to knock another $500 off the "new price" because he felt bad about what happened, but would not honor any other price. I don't know if I've ever received a less sincere apology. After what transpired, I candidly expected the General Manager to at the very least honor the offer made to us. Instead, he explained that the original offer to us was his cost. It seemed he had no problem looking beyond the dealership's blatant dishonesty, as long as the profit was maybe not the full $1800, but no less than $1300. I truly did not expect this apology conversation to simply be a guise for a price negotiation. I guess it's hard to put a price on sincerity and respect for one's customers. I guess deceptive tactics are simply part and parcel of the negotiation process at Palisades Mazda. The irony is the websites of both Palisades Mazda, and their parent company The Premier Collection, spell out their 4 guiding principles, 2 of which are integrity and respect for the individual. Maybe someone in marketing should show the website to management. My wife and I have moved on and are purchasing a car from an unrelated dealership. We think it's important to establish a relationship with a dealer you can trust, especially if you plan to return for service and more. I can't speak to the other dealerships owned by The Premier Collection, and whether they conduct business in a similar deceitful manner. What I can say is if you're looking to purchase a car from Palisades Mazda, at least go in with open eyes and know what you're dealing with. read more

Do not waste your time going to palisades mazda, every person who works there is unprofessional. I gave them a $500 deposit to hold a car and the next day I told them I had changed my mind and they had refunded it back to my card as so they say. Still no refund, meanwhile I signed papers saying they will give me a refund back. They have not returned any phone calls and I have absolutely no help as to where my refund is or when I am going to see it. Also, I looked at a Mazda 3 and the sticker price was $12,999. I told them I was interested, next day I get a call saying there was an error in the pricing and it was now raised to $15k and some change because they had to do work to it, meanwhile it's supposed to a CPO. Very unprofessional, salesman lied right to my face and wasted a whole lot of my time because I could've been looking at cars with a more professional/ honest dealership. You would think they wouldn't want bad publicity. They lost my business for good and I will be taking it elsewhere. read more
