My review is for the service department section of the store only. Came here for an oil change and ended up getting the breaks and air filters replaced as well. The staff was very efficient with the work they did. They got everything done in a timely manner, it was very pricey though but rather be safe than sorry. It's very hard to find mechanic you can trust to do the job right, so I rather pay for quality work here versus going somewhere else and having issues later on down the line. In early December, we brought our vehicle to Hyundai service in Rockland, New York for routine service. At that time, we also expressed clear interest in purchasing a new Santa Fe from the same dealership. While our vehicle was already in their possession, we suggested completing a trade-in assessment during service. We were placed into a loaner vehicle--the same model we were considering purchasing--and were told the trade-in value would be provided shortly after our vehicle was returned. Our car was returned without any trade-in valuation, with the assurance that "someone would call." No one did. One week passed. No call. Two weeks passed. No call. Three weeks passed. No call. After making more than a dozen phone calls and receiving repeated assurances that someone would "get back to us," I finally reached an individual who identified himself as a sales manager. Instead of addressing the issue, he spoke in a dismissive and condescending manner, offered no resolution, and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. He not only gave me a low ball value and then told me you should bring it in so we can assess it lol, lol, lol. --YOU ALREADY HAD IT THERE AND THEN more excuses--now he says the guy who did the value is out sick. This experience was disorganized, frustrating, and entirely unacceptable for a franchised dealership representing a major automotive brand. From the original purchase four years ago through this most recent interaction, the pattern of poor communication and lack of accountability has been consistent. I've had my 2024 Tucson Hybrid in for numerous warranty repairs. The horn stopped working within several months. Replaced. The driver's seat was falling apart and wobbly. Replaced. Now, I've been back at least 4 times with tire pressure monitor system issues. Replaced the sensors several times. Replaced the computer. Last time, I found a screw from the dash/ computer just sitting in the cubby under the dash. Where did this belong??? Will the dash fall off or will the computer just bounce around inside the dash??? This is getting very frustrating. Going back in for service AGAIN for same issue. If not fixed this time, will definitely be pursuing NY Lemon Law. read more

Drove brand new Palisade off the lot. Less than 17,000 miles later the tires are bald. The reply from Hyundai was tough luck not our problem call the tire company. So clearly they do not care about repeat customers because I will never use this dealership or Hyundai again. As a follow up to Joseph's comment below. This car was serviced at the same mechanic we have used for 10 years. This dealership blames everyone but themselves for the product they sell. After I insisted they give me the out the door pricing before I waste my time & come in they said that the $22889 price I see on THEIR website is only if I finance it through them. If I dont finance, and pay cash, then the car is $26995, $4100 more. I asked them why it doesnt say that anywhere on website & they basically said tough luck. I'm writing this to hopefully protect other car buyers and to save everyone time. This place is a total disaster. I can't tell you how many issues I ran into when trying to purchase a car from them, but I will focus on the biggest issue at hand. The price listed on the cars is nowhere close to the actual prices because of their "dealership fees". The fees range anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000. To be clear, this has nothing to do with taxes, registration and title fees, etc. I placed a $500 deposit on a car in order for them to hold the vehicle until I moved from Arizona. I wasn't told about the dealership fee until I was at checkout. The approximate 10% markup resulted in me obviously dropping the purchase. I then had to fight for my $500 deposit back. So much time wasted. And these salesmen couldn't be more shady. Please stay away from this dealership. read more

After the whole story below, they finally took the car back when they got a a call from the DMV, what's shocking is that they are selling the same car again. estay way from Subaru Legacy VIN number: 4S3BNAC6XG3044287. If they fixed it before putting up for sale again, I'm not sure but have the car inspected it before you sign anything. Stay away from this dealership. Rockland Hyundai sold me a 2016 Subaru Legacy with a little over 71,000 miles for $15,000. I liked the car and saw some small imperfections with it, these imperfections are normal on a used car and I agree to buy it. The carfax that I was shown on the computer but not printed only showed one accident on the front passenger side and no more. Here is where the problems began. The very next day I notice that the car vibrates and makes a shaking noise when just over 1,000 RPM, the belt from the engine makes a squeaky noise, the trunk door does not close properly, water is getting inside the trunk, passenger side doors don't align, noise coming from the dashboard, These are things that can not be determined by just test driving the car. These issues have been confirmed by two other third-party repair shops other than Rockland Hyundai. The treatment that I received by the Sales Manager Tristan and the service advisors Albert and Chris are just jaw-dropping on how terrible it was. First. Albert, when I showed up for my booked appointment in advice, told me that he did not have the time or the people to look at the car after loudly explaining that I left my job early to be there then, he finally got in the car with me and the told me the vibration issue is normal. Second, Tristan George talked to me while texting on his phone and told that I was lucky he was even talking to me because he has nothing to do with the service department. I offer to purchase a more expensive car if they took the car back. Tristan was texting the entire time, after telling him to give me his attention instead of his phone he got angry and did not want to talk to me from then on. Third, Chris told we will look at the issue on Tuesday 01/22/19 when I got there he was just so inconvenience because I asked him to come outside and see the issues. Chris told me that they will fix the leak in the trunk and the belt and they will look into the other things. I picked up the car today 01/29/19 and the only thing that they did was change the engine belt, water still gets into the trunk, the passenger side doors don't align, the noise from the dashboard still there, and I was told once again the vibration noise is normal. I took the car to a body shop that estimated over $3,700 in damage, and the dealer tells me is normal. I have never felt so disrespected as I have inside the Rockland Hyundai dealership. The only people that tried to help me where the salesman Humberto. I will follow up on this case with other agencies, I was lied to and dismissed like I had no value after the sale was done. read more

You should never do business w/ @HyundaiRockland. They never returned the plates to the car I turned in. After notice from DMV telling me they would suspend my registration & license they promised to take care of it. I mistakenly trusted them. Instead, nothing was done. DMV sent me a latter today can't drive *any* of my other cars immediately & my license will be suspended thanks to their stupidity. I of course have no record because they never gave me a receipt for the plates. I'll have to spend a day with DMV to try to figure this out. It's going to cost me money in fines, several days and the cost of getting something to drive to DMV. All because someone couldn't do the one thing he offered to do, send the plates to DMV and then worse, promise it would be taken care of. Worse experience of leasing a car. If you do buy a car, certainly don't use that guy *and* take you plates. New Year off to a great start, thanks Rockland Hyundai. Borderline criminal. Am reporting them to Hyundai. They are the only car dealer that hides the market mark up, and they explicitly lie when you ask them the price. Every other Hyundai dealer lists the price on the site and includes any mark up. This dealer only lists the MSRP and when you call to ask "how much does it cost" they give you the MSRP. Then they try to slide in the mark up above MSRP when you are literally paying/finalizing. In my case it was $4,000. Unclear to me that this is even legal, certainly not ethical. Be extremely careful and buy elsewhere if you can. read more
