The staff is rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. They give you the runaround, make false promises, and blatantly lie just to get you off the phone. UNABLE TO DELIVER, BUT THEY'LL DELIVER YOU SOME COVID STAY FAR AWAY from this shack. It started with the drivers seat being unable to move. I sat in their shack for an hour while they unlodged something stuck in the mechanism. The manager told me this was not "a delay," but rather "free service"... on the car they had failed to prepare during the 4 hours I drove there to see it. I made full payment that day. Then, after paying their $75 fee, it took me 35 phonecalls and more than a week to get my paperwork sent to me. They had promised it "overnight" and then later claimed they had said "overnight, within 30 days." 30 days to get the legal paperwork for my car before I can register and drive it?!. Not acceptable. Then they got hostile with me. After telling me that I'm "rude" and "uptight" they sent me incomplete and UNSIGNED paperwork with NO Odometer Statement or dealer signature. Then they instructed me to FORGE their signature under "Dealer Signature," which I refused to do. The manager called this "writing it in yourself." That's correct... he requested FORGERY to save him from paying to overnight documents a second time. Everyone I called told me to call somebody else. Nobody would take responsibility. I spent days trying to get them to fill out the damn form correctly. After I gave full payment on day one, they had the nerve to complain about how many times I called them. Do you think I wanted to spend my days calling them? In the end, I had to HELP their title person complete a state registration form, literally going line by line, as if they had never seen one before. I also paid $75 for the privilege of doing this for them.. Manager of this shack will talk over you and never stop talking. He has a rehearsed speech about his dealer fees that is totally irrelevant. He is verbally aggressive until you just give up. I told him ahead of time that I would include his statements in my review. It didn't change his approach. He decided to mess around and find out. ALSO NOBODY HERE WEARS A MASK except for one salesperson. Go see for yourself. They have signs requiring you to wear a mask, but they WILL NOT WEAR MASKS. The Trump calendars on the desks explain that position. I wore a mask, and I GOT SICK after my visit to this UNMASKED dealership. I will never again deal with this place. Whatever you think about Used Car Dealerships, forget it. I bought a 2019 Audi A6 from Rockland Motors and the experience couldn't have gone smoother. I dealt with Frank Ferraro, who was forthright, professional, and accommodating. I felt no pressure to buy nor any need to haggle because I knew I was getting a great deal. In addition to registering the car and having it detailed, all without charging a dealer's fee, Frank stepped up in a big way. To be fair they gave me 3 new tires {were they new?}, fixed the axle, my brakes, the case that holds the passenger side mirror, cleared the ABS light from the dashboard, replaced a fog light and "defogged" the front lights. The call actually came in from S F G Enterprises (646-695-4818) a loan-servicing company. By the looks of it they are either Rockland Motors' loan-partner or a sister-corp. When I asked where she is calling from and what their website was (so I can take a look at their cars), she pointed me to rocklandmotors.com. They somehow got my number and cold-called me. Which is fine, because I am indeed shopping for a car, and they probably got the lead from a number of sites I've visited in my shopping process. I explained to the lady on the phone that I am looking for a specific car, and asked them if they have it. They said no, but that they could get it from another one of their lots and to just come in. I explained that coming in if they don't have the car I'm looking for on the lot would be a waste of everybody's time. I asked the girl if she could call her other lots and get back to me if they have the car I'm looking for. She told me that she can't and that she's just trying to help me out, because who else is going to lend me $26K. (while my credit isn't great, I've had no trouble getting approved) Apparently I didn't know she was my best friend for years and she finally found me to hook me up (HAH!).. I responded with "who are we kidding here, you are trying to make money and i'm trying to find the car i want" she muttered something, and hung up the phone. Looking for a replacement car for my 2008 GL 450 Rockland motors had a 2014 GL 450 in the color I wanted. I have never been to this place before! I spoke with Frank, he showed me the car no pressure, I went home. I came back a week later car was still there and I asked Frank about the mismatched tires and a broken gear in the folding third row. Being a class act he replaced 2 of the tires so they all matched and also fixed the motorized gear a week after I bought it at no cost. Frank was also reasonable on the trade-in which made the process even more hassle free as I did not want to craigslist my car and deal with all the BS. I am from out of state and just purchased a Mercedes, basically sight unseen, from Rockland Motors. This has to be the ultimate litmus test for rating a car dealership. I committed to purchase the car, by my own request, before arriving so I would not lose it. Rockland Motors not only met but exceeded every single expectation. The car BLEW AWAY the description that was online. I would have been fine and frankly surprised if they met the description online, but the car was BETTER than all that inside and out. Excellent body and paint; nice tires with lots of tread, and immaculate under the hood with no issues. I was told this car is "all there, and nothing is needed" and this is exactly the case. Nothing swept under the carpet. I drove this a smooth 175 miles home, and had it checked out by a 30 year Mercedes Benz A tech with a fine tooth comb. It passed with flying colors. It needs nothing; the scan shows services up to date. He told me I found a one in a million car. No downside, nothing hidden to worry about. As far as the sales rep, Frank was spot on friendly, efficient and honest. He did not pressure, nor ignore. We processed everything within an hour. He even gave me a ride back from returning my rental car. Mind you this was a busy Thursday rush hour. Dealerships often get a bad rap, and I bet you would have thought they could take advantage of me since I am from out of state, and would not come back beating their door down. So go figure, you can drive 175 miles to Rockland Motors as a total stranger, from another state, and they have exactly the product they advertised, are honest, and deliver within the same day. It might have been the fact that I arranged my own financing, but I had a fine experience with Rockland. I'd looked at a lot of similar cars and they had just what I was looking for at a fine price. I bought a 1999 Mercedes wagon and it's been running strong ever since. Two other mechanics have looked the car over and been really pleased (one is my nephew, one was for an oil change, the only maintenance this car has needed). A lot if these cars have rust issues in some specific spots but it hasn't happened with this car. You might say I was lucky, but you ,ight also say that these guys are getting quality vehicles. When I bought it, The car was cleaned and detailed, all fluids changed. It clearly had new brakes and the suspension was in great shape. I bought this car a little over six months ago and, for an order car, it's in great shape and running strong. When I had a minor concern, They set me up with a local mechanic who walked me through the checkup. Their response was fast. I hope to drive this car for several years from now.
