The guy, who I am assuming was the owner, was very unprofessional from the start. It was just, "Ok, you can undress and lie right here." he didn't leave the room, shut the door, close the blinds, nothing. He just stood there and looked at me. Made me feel wildly uncomfortable. Then, he applied wax that was extremely too hot all the way down one side of my body from shoulder, down my back, all the way to the top of my leg before he stated applying the strips. Anybody who has watched even one youtube video on waxing knows that you apply wax to a small area, apply the strip and hold the skin taut with one hand, pull the strip and quickly place your hand on that area so that it doesn't hurt as bad. This guy just rip, rip, rip....all while I'm screaming bloody murder. So after that torture was over, little did I know he had much more in store for my butthole area. He put that super hot wax right on to it and I knew then I would never be going back to him. Fast forward to the trimming of the front. As I lay there on this table that was so small that my hands naturally fell off the edge of the table. This guy REPEATEDLY (and i don't know if this was intentional but it was multiple times) placed his junk directly on my hand as he was trimming my chest and stomach, which i didn't ask for to begin with. Then after that miserable, agonizing infliction of pain was over, he charged me $280 and then tapped the "tip screen" with his finger twice and said "here ya go" when it was time for me to pay. I wanted so bad to hit NO TIP. Now as i sit here and it's been about 10 hours, i am in so much pain. And my skin is so red and spotted with blood blisters b/c of the crappy job this guy did. If he does this to every customer, I'm surprised he's still in business. Maybe his massages are happy ending....i don't know but I'll never be back to find out. OH!! and there was penis pump on the sink vanity. Go figure that one out.

Before my massage, I was taken to a quiet relaxation room with tranquil music, heated blankets, and a heated neck pillow, which was such a nice touch. They also provide a plush robe and slippers, making you feel pampered from the very beginning. I booked the 50-minute full-body Swedish massage, and it was incredible. Even the heated massage table and luxurious sheets made a difference. I've been a member at another chain massage business for about a year, and while those massages were fine, this experience was on an entirely different level. The massage itself was the best I've had in a long time, and it truly felt personalized rather than rushed. A special thank you to Jada, my massage therapist. She was fantastic, professional, attentive, and made the entire experience so relaxing. A friend gave me a gift card, and I'm so grateful because I probably wouldn't have discovered this place otherwise. I'll absolutely be canceling my membership at the other massage chain and becoming a regular at Woodhouse Spa instead. The Dunwoody location is also very convenient, making it an easy choice for future visits. As we went about our day, we called in advance to let them know that we may be running 15 mins late. They were super accommodating on the phone and so we did not rush to the spa. We reserved for 60 mins each and were told that we could have ~45 mins massage - which I thought was reasonable because we were 15 mins late. However, the venue insisted on charging us for the FULL HOUR. I thought it made no sense at all, and we were not told in advance. Worse still, my friend later told me that it took her massage therapist FOREVER to come into the room, so she only received 30 mins of massages and had to pay for the FULL HOUR on her birthday. The front desk staff were super nice to us when we walked in, but became very unfriendly upon checkout. One member was also reluctant on giving us the birthday discount, thought it was clearly stated on their website. I hate to leave a review like this, especially because I enjoyed my massage. But I was really unhappy with the experience at the spa. We did not receive any of the pampering other guests have received (e.g., no tea while waiting etc). I would not recommend it to others.
