Bethlehem's location is very disappointing. We have been raving fans since the previous owner Costa. The transition has been poor. Sunday a girl was vomiting behind the counter and then moved to lay outside on the sidewalk throwing up in bushes. Just a terrible experience I have an autoimmune and my dad has Cancer. Normally enjoy this location because it is close to my house. Went in tonight (before close) promising to be very quick. The lady working there was beyond rude and made me feel uncomfortable that I came in close to close (essentially made me beg to get a tan). I would have been in and out before they needed to leave. When doing your job effectively requires just starting a booth & being kind (not rocket science) , maybe be nicer to people spending over $100 a month there. I will tell people to steer clear from this location, and deff will be reducing my membership and giving someone local my money. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION IF YOU WANT DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give this location zero stars I would. Girl at front desk I wish I checked for her name but she was working Wednesday night. She was very rude and completely unhelpful. As a 3 time client who still needs minimal guidance regarding tans, she was unwelcoming and unfriendly, and again not helpful. Haven't experienced this unprofessionalism from any other PBT location. Not to mention I asked for 8 minutes in the bed and I got out after 8 minutes because I was feeling burnt and it said I had 4 minutes left. She put me in there for 12 minutes.... I went to PBT yesterday, May 24, and had the worst experience. I'm not sure who the guy working the counter was (Freakishly white teeth, dry, orange skin) but he was so rude and not welcoming at all. His attitude and demeanor was so off putting and he was not helpful. I wanted to Mystic Tan and he rudely responded by saying Mystic is not working today. No other accommodations was provided. I will never be back and will give my business to Solar Dimensions, where the Mystic beds ARE in working order and people are nice. read more

Rude! Palm beach bought out solar dimensions so my contract automatically switched to them. Ok no problem. I went in to put my account on freeze they had me sign some papers then out the door then they still drew money out of my account. I called the store looking for answers and the girl who answered the phone first put me on hold for 10 min. Then I hung up and called back when she tried to put me on hold again I told her no and I needed to speak to someone now. She then heavily breathed in told me it was lunch time and they were very busy but she guessed she could help me. Needless to say it went down hill from there. When I asked for a manager she told me she was the assistant manager, again I asked for a manager and was told one was not there and she could not tell me when one would be in. I was then given corporates number and told if I had any questions to call them. read more

My thoughts are almost exactly the thoughts of Megan. Last year I went to Solar Dimensions and I will NEVER go back. I was very hesitant to try PBT because I assumed all tanning salons were like Solar Dimensions...but they aren't! My fiance and I went in one night at almost closing (sorry to the guy who was working that night!) and just wanted to tour the place, not sign up yet. The guy was so helpful and showed us around. Did not pressure us at all. Told us what the deals were for that month. We were so pleased that next week we ended up signing up. The staff is absolutely pleasant. They are nice and helpful. I do notice one thing however - now that I have been going for about 3 weeks they are starting to ask EVERY visit if I have lotion, even though I clearly have some in my hand. They aren't relentless like SD but it is starting to annoy me. I suppose it is just what they do to get sales but honestly if they keep it up, I am going to buy lotion from somewhere else. This is the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars. I just felt like I needed to make that disclaimer. Other than that, the salon is so clean and well-lit. The rooms are nice and spacious. All the beds, even the lower level ones, are great and strong. I am getting a much nicer tan here than at SD. One last thing that they have over SD is that you don't have to sign up for a contract. Your membership goes by month-to-month. I like that because I did not want to have to choose between 3 and 6 months like I had to previously. The prices for the monthly memberships are not outrageous and since I signed up for the diamond level, my future sister-in-law was able to "experience" the diamond level for a week at the salon nearest her. OH and you can go to any PBT across the nation! WHICH IS GREAT for those of us who have to travel for work. I could not have been more thrilled. I will continue to go to PBT for years to come! read more

I've been a long time member of Palm Beach Tan at this location and have always been satisfied with my experience. Today I went in to find out how I could tan this week (leading up to a vacay) because I had frozen my membership due to too much business travel and not enough use. Rather than charging me the maximum prices, Lindsay worked with me to find out what would be the best way to handle my unique situation. She had a great attitude and was extremely friendly and helpful. Justin, the assistant manager, was also a pleasure to speak with. They both assisted me in figuring out my membership AND the best product for me. If you're contemplating a tanning membership or a spray tan, I definitely recommend Palm Beach Tan at Cumberland. They've expanded within the last few years, so there are plenty of beds and it's always nice & clean. Ask for Lindsay and/or Justin - they're the best! read more

Just tried this place instead of going to my usual Solar Dimensions. They have both Mystic and Versa. The staff was super helpful and friendly during the sign-up process. It is pricey to get a single tan at $55 but that's because they want you to buy three for $75 (which I did). Still a bit more than SD but hopefully they'll run specials. The spray tans are only valid for 45 days and they don't expire at SD, so that is also something to consider if you don't regularly spray tan, but it won't be an issue for me. Palm Beach provides lip balm, eye and nose protection and I don't believe I've ever got that at any SD location. It just felt a step up and run better so I'll be back! read more

I absolutely look for a Palm Beach Tan whenever I travel. This location is great, with easy access from main roads and hours available every day of the week. The amount of beds and varying degrees of tanning available make this my first choice in tanning salons anywhere. Staff is great...upbeat, welcoming and knowledgeable. I have tried multiple times to tan at this location but the beds are never clean even when they say the bed is clean you can see where they attempted to wipe it down quickly but oil from tanning lotion of the previous person is still on the bed. read more

This place is clean. The bed are hot with fresh bulbs. The people are nice however very sales driven and at times can be a slight pushy. The tanning packages are a bit over priced. But I'm not from this area and it looks to be like the norm here. I come and I love my tan. The beds have so many features. Always set up with a towel and eye protection. read more

I have been using PBT at this location for almost 2 years. At first, I loved the place. It was busy, but not "wait 30 minutes" busy for a bed. I pay a premium to use the top of the line beds, but since the buyout of Solar Dimensions, this place has had 3-4 different "managers". The increase in customers is too much for this one location. Each time I arrive I see all the lower tiered beds empty...and usually 3-4 people waiting on the bench seating. Upper management needs to adjust the type of beds placed in this location to accommodate the influx of new people. Also, customer service is not as "friendly" as it use to be; it's now more "business" like...very disappointing to me. At least say someone can say "have a great day", as I leave...or something. read more

I'm a big fan of Palm Beach especially compared to my previous tanning membership at Solar Dimensions. PB is very professional and clean and the staff is extremely friendly. The guys at the desk are super nice but also really knowledgable about the products they offer and happy to answer all your questions without pressuring you to spend a small a fortune on their tanning lotions. Plus they don't make insane claims about how you HAVE to buy their products. One of the guys even let me use his lotion for free just to see if I liked it. They always have really good sales on their lotions anyways and upgrade offers to help you make the most of your membership without spending more than your cable bill on tanning. Plus all they do is tanning so they don't ever make me feel shitty by telling me I need a wrap or some other bullshit quick fix ***cough solar dimensions cough*** to lose weight. I would recommend PB to anyone especially if you have already been mistreated by one of the other tanning scams in the area. read more

I stopped tanning here because of their super strict 24 hour rule. If your a very busy person with a hectic schedule you will not be happy here. If I tanned at 1pm on Monday they would not let me tan until at least 1 pm on Tuesday. I don't have time to plan my day around my tanning. I I understand your not supposed to tan every day but if I know I'm going to be too busy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to tan then I want to tan Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. The law statues that you can't tan more than one a day. PBT has made it so that most people can't even tan once a day unless they have all the time in the world to sit around and wait for the clock to tick away. read more

I have been so disappointed with palm beach ran. I use to be a member in Dallas do naturally when I moved to Atlanta I was happy to see a familiar place. Well I have been upset with the quality of service.....not from the kids behind the counter but with the location itself. For 2 days in a row there has been waits if 25-50 minutes. That's crazy!!!!! You need to expand and get more beds or you are going to lose customers to other tanning locations. I would not recommend to any of my friends read more
