Great and kind staff. The gym is small like most other Workout Anytime gyms. The equipment is kept up with for the most part and there are not too many holes in the walls. The men's bathroom is kept up with for the most part and the lockers aren't too beat up. What I didn't like was the transparency of the staff. Make sure when you sign up, and especially cancel your membership, you are talking to the owner or someone that understands the buisness. I was told to cancel my membership by 1 employee (Nate) 30 days before my 1-year membership was going to end. I find out a few days later that I still got billed because corporate charges you within that 30 days. What the first employee should of told me was to cancel as soon as possible. Now I'm stuck with a gym membership bill that I can't even use. I am not signing up to any Workout Anytime gym from now on. read more

I joined Workout Anytime Smyrna on a mission to become a healthier me. I registered for the 6 week weight loss challenge on FaceBook and was called within 24 hours. I met up with Toya and I immediately knew this was the place for me. Toya was really friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and helping people achieve their goals. The gym is really clean, has a variety of cardio and weightlifting machines, nice sized locker rooms and personal training is also available. I signed up for the 6 week challenge and I loss over 25 pounds in 6 weeks. I'm so proud of the progress I made and a few of the ladies who signed up for the challenge the same week as me, as well. The staff was very passionate and motivated us every step of the way. Toya, my accountability coach, was there at anytime for questions and to make changes to my meal plan when she deemed necessary. I'm so excited for this new lifestyle journey I started and can't wait to see where I'm headed with my Workout Anytime #FITFAM by my side. **update update Fixed broken workout equipment. Added clips for the barbells. And air conditioning for the whole summer. It's a real good start. So I have added a star. If there's some consistency, I will add another. update- So they have "new" management. But the same issues. Broke equipment (more) and the AC is out, again. Oh and the good trainers are all gone to the competitors and there has been a severe drop off in customers. I am guessing that's why they can't afford to fix anything. Ok. So I am on year two here and it's clear that management does not care about their gym. (-) Terrible workout conditions. Do you like working out in 110 degree conditions? Do you like to constantly ask the manager when the air conditioning will be repaired? If so, this is the gym for you. (-) Old and crappy equipment. Fellas, do you like tape to hold your barbells together? Do you like having only two barbells in the whole gym? Do you like dumbbells where all the numbers are missing so you're not sure what weight you're lifting? If so, this is the gym for you. (-) Lockers. Do you like moldy shower curtains? How about two small and dark showers that flood with water? How about sinks without soap? If so, this is the place for you. (-) Manager. Let my silence tell you everything you need to know. Now there are a few pros. I want to be balanced. The pros don't balance the negatives but they will give you a fuller picture. (+) Cost. Cheap. But you get what you pay for. (+) People. I've made some real good gym friends. We usually laugh about why we are still here. Or why this is the third time in the last three months (in the middle of the summer) where the AC has gone out. Nobody hogs the few machines. If you come at the right time it won't be that busy anyway. (+) Trainers. There's this young guy. Braces. Really smart. Really hard working. You look at him and wonder why he settles for this place. But he is a real go-getter. Constantly learning. There's another trainer who is a bit of a social butterfly. But he also gets it in. So Yelpers I write this at great cost. I figure if less people show up then the fascilities will get worse for me. But I can't in good conscience allow other folks to get tricked into having their hard earned dollars separated by a company that doesn't give a rip about you. Like a poor relationship, I kept thinking it would get better. My advise. Keep it moving. If you see a deal that's too good to be true. It is. As for me, I can't wait until my membership ends. Until then, I'll try to get used to sauna weight training. read more

I'm at a loss. I canceled back in July 2021 due to moving to find early this year I'm still being charged....when I tried to fix, constantly had no answer. Finally got ahold of the manager that sent me the some corporate number to cancel and get reimbursed. Some time later after sending my proof by email to only be told that its now canceled and I need to contact my local gym to get reimbursed. All that said, I just got ANOTHER payment taken out for April. PLEASE help me, cancel my membership and reimburse! read more

Surprisingly, this is a solid little gym with super friendly staff. I was a long-time member of Titanz (which I also love) so I was hesitant to switch gyms. But this little gym has similar equipment (Matrix) and was remodeled a couple of years ago. Like most gyms, it has more cardio equipment than is really needed and I wish they had a shoulder press machine as well as a decline barbell bench or machine. But other than that, it has everything anyone would need. There's even a small area for TRX and quasi-crossfit. read more

I haven't even joined yet and my experience is already bad I'm laughing so hard as I'm typing this in my car. So its a 24/7 gym right ? Well the doors are closed and ive been knocking on the windows to get hold of someone. Cause no matter of my experience i wanted to join this location regardless. I've called but no one picks up the phone. With that being said im turning on my engine and heading over to Lame o planet fitness & further reading the reviews seems like they don't like to cancel your membership. I joined workout anytime Smyrna GA 6 weeks ago, and I am proud to say I have lost 25.2 lbs. The staff, Candace, Toya, Alex and others are amazing , they were very instrumental in my success. They want to see you be the best you, you can be and they give you all the support you need to accomplish that. 6 week challenge complete!! I weighed in and I met my goal! 6.1% body fat loss and about 12 pounds down!! This was an amazing way to jump start my new way of thinking, eating, and exercising!! This was not an easy process! They give you the tools but YOU need to do the work. The meal plan and the workouts WILL WORK if you stick with it. I went to Ecuador for 5 days during the 6 week challenge. It was harder to order specialty food in an unfamiliar country and the temptation was REAL to eat the local cuisine. My husband and I were part of a gym which ended up closing their closest location to us. So, we Googled comparable gyms in our area and found Workout Anytime. After a few drive by's, we went in on an early Saturday afternoon, and were greeted by the General Manager, Jimmy - who seems to be a nice enough guy. We went in knowing we needed access to a gym after a 6-month hiatus, so we joined on the spot. Here are my initial thoughts after 2 weeks of going in: PROS: - $15/month is a steal - 24/7 access - Equipment maintenance and variety is OK - Located on a side road off of Cobb Pkwy - not high traffic (at least when we've been there) - We go in late in the evenings (anywhere between 9PM-1AM). There's never more than 10 people. - Locker rooms and showers available. - Tanning services available. - Everyone seems to mind their business and focus on their workout. CONS: - Payment for us wasn't offered month-to-month. Not to say they don't have a monthly plan; maybe they do? We paid in full for the year upfront. Though, it is refreshing to know that our gym costs are covered for the year. We were assured that if we need to cancel before hand, we're able to do so anytime. - Ellipticals and Stair Climbers are pretty beat to hell. - Still having problems with our access cards. - **GYM IS QUITE SMALL AND CRAMPED. Barely any room for mat/ball work (yoga, pilates)**. - There's usually a bucket of wipes to wipe down machines, however last night there was only a bottle of Windex with no paper towels. I've been a part of 3 gyms before Workout Anytime. One of which was Lifetime Fitness. This is by far the most affordable. Sure, less amenities, and it's small, but it has all of the basic essentials of a gym, which is all my husband and I are looking for. read more

This gym is no better than your free gym at apartment complexes. They offer few free weights. Most weight training devices are machines. Which is funny, because free weights should've been cheaper than machines. Also, since the place is cramped, you will be waiting a lot to use the machines during peak times. They also have a ton of stair masters, treadmills, and so on. This is a small and cramped gym. Everything looks run down and ghetto. They also have an aggressive personal trainer who charges $100+/month to train you. I think this is where they get their money from. I have a slight beef with the trainer. I went in for a free session, and he tired me out by doing a bunch of chest exercises. Then he told me my technique was crap (which it was so I wasn't offended) and tried to show me how weak I was by asking me to push on him. Well, my muscles were already tired from all those exercise to give him a good push. So I couldn't push him over. Then he tried to push me, and he couldn't push me either. So I guess his awesome technique didn't work on my tired, skinny, old, me. My point is that his demo was stacked against me. So that demo was just pointless. Anyway, back to the review. The best part about this gym? It's only $15/month. It's also open 24/7. That's about it. The location was nice too, for me. Canceling didn't seem like a hassle to me. When I went in to cancel, I was ready for a battle. But he just gave me a card with a number to call. You call them number and they ask you to give them a written letter (email or registered snail mail) to cancel. You do have to go through a lot of steps, but they don't try to stop you from canceling. You just have to follow their procedure. So to me, it was easy to cancel. If you're frugal and want a place to workout with machines or run on the treadmill, this is the place for you. read more

This Gym is now located in a plaza with a Gas Station and run by a man named Gary. The Gym is decent and the fact that they are open 24 hours is Perfect! The only thing is when it's time to End your Membership they forget to cancel it as you requested and continue to draft your bank account. And when you contact Grimey Gary, his response is "Its out of his Hands" even though it's his fault it was never cancelled! Had to get my bank involved to stop the drafts which is ridiculous. Just wish people were more Honest especially Business Owners. read more

this gym isn't terrible for the price. I pay the $25 for unlimited use of the hydro-massage bed and tanning beds. However to be honest, I don't think it would make a difference in paying the $15 or $25 for the extra use of equipment when there isn't anyone there to really say "hey, you don't pay $25 a month, you cant use those". it seems anyone can walk over and use the tanning beds. which I know there are 2. I use the standup because it is the only one that works, even though about 12 bulbs are out. so it seems not very tended too as far as that side of the gym. now to the weights and cardio side of the gym..definitely very cramped, but for the price, it is what it is. I wish there was a little bit more variety as far as machines go. a stair master would be nice, but if you modify your workout of the chin up assist, it works just as well. and maybe a rowing machine that is a great full body workour. also, the ellipticals never seem to actually work. they turn on but don't ever let you select any settings, so you never get resistance. but overall I get a good workout in everytime I go, its never too crowded when im there. so that's a plus. and people seem to stay to themselves which I like. read more

The six week challenge is not the benefit it says. The meal plan is NOT customized for you, but rather for a target group and offers no flexibility for your health needs. They are unwilling to offer help or advice with any part of he program other than "just try to follow it". They give you promises of satisfaction and success and they don't follow through on them. I, Christy, knew I needed to lose weight but had lost my way and knew I couldn't do it on my own. That's where the Workout Anytime Smyrna 6 week challenge came in at just the right time. Final weigh in: exceeded the goal of 6% body fat -6.5% lost achieved! What a journey! Why would I try to do it on my own when I have all this great support from the staff at Workout Anytime Smyrna? Change in management a few months back, which sent this place down the toilet. The problems start upon entrance, if the front door even works. The card scanner to enter and exit the gym doesn't work and hasn't for a while now. You have to rely on someone to let you in when attendants aren't on duty. Visited the gym today, the same 3 broken treadmills are still broken after 3 months. They REFUSE to run the AC. It's like a sauna in there. It's 90 degrees outside and they have the doors closed with the heat and sweat festering in the place. It had to be around 100 degrees in there. The idiot sitting at the front desk on 6/17 at 7p doesn't even speak to you. I greeted him upon entry and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. The previous owner was always present and very pleasant. This place will be closed in 6 months if not sooner. read more
