I am new to the area and was looking for a new tanning place. I came in and a couple of people were ahead of me were looking at tanning packages. I looked around at their products on display until the people ahead of me were done. No big deal, I can handle waiting my turn. What set me off was no one said "hello", "hi" "will be right with you" etc. After about 5mins the front desk girl looks at the other girl working and asks if she wants to give me a tour, she replies "no" right in front of me and the other people. The prices are outrageous, and the automatic eft withdrawals is pretty much mandatory. Good luck stopping it too. I moved, and explained I no longer lived nearby anymore. The rude customer service person refused to stop my payments unless I came in in person. I asked for a fax# or email to stop the payments, and she refused to assist me. Extremely unorganized. I haven't had a membership in over a year and I've been in there a few times over the past six months since my membership was cancelled, and now suddenly I have a balance of $53 from a payment that didn't go through during my membership over a year ago?! if that's even true! I've been here twice to get a spray tan. Each time I went the spray tan wouldn't last very long and also came out blotchy. Would rather go to someone that spray tans rather than paying the same amount for a streaky spray tan. Put two stars because the employees were very friendly. read more

Thank you guys for fixing the problems with the bulbs. My boyfriend had problems with one of the beds having 2 bulbs out. I liked this place fine for about two years until I decided to put a temporary freeze on my membership. As per their instructions, I went there in person and put the freeze. However, the full charge was on my bank statement the following month. Instead of crediting my account with a refund, they offered merchandise credit. And told me I had to go there AGAIN in person to freeze the account again. I did and cancelled the membership entirely the second time, making sure to get printed confirmation. I will no longer recommend Palm Beach Tan to anyone. read more

First of all I'd like to say that this was my first time to this location, I usually go to the location out in Orange County for the past 4yrs and never had an issue the girls are very friendly. However, since I live in the area by McKinley I thought I would give it a try and so I took a friend for the first time. We both had a HORRIBLE experience! Several times we had to get dressed and let the staff know the bed wasn't turning on. Then I would try again and once in there it would shut off again till it finally worked for me. Once it was my friends turn it was happening again. He changed several times to just go out and tell them if they could turn it on, this was his first time tanning he wasn't sure what to expect till finally he just got inpatient and decided he didn't want to tan anymore. We spent an hour and 20min at this location....RIDICULOUS! We were told that they would offer us free credits on both accounts for the inconvenience and would leave a note as well. A month later I come back for the second time just to find out that we were lied to. No credits were made to our accounts and no notes or messages were found either. I will definitely not be coming to this location ever again! read more

I always stop at this tanning location after work because of the friendly caring staff that work there. Katie and Dominique do an outstanding job at keeping the salon clean and always greeting me with bright bubbly personalities as soon as I walk in the door. They take their time making sure that I am satisfied with my tanning experience and making sure I am happy with the way my color is progressing. All they do is tell me to call this person, then that person says call this person, and finally call a "customer service" number. I've made 5 or 6 calls, and even went back in person. Don't tan here. There not clear about there memberships at all. I was under the oppression that I would b charged for two months and they charged me for four months. So the last two months they charged me I didn't even go in there once I just so happen to look at my credit card bill and they automatically charged me for September and October so when I called them they couldn't do anything about it. I went in here earlier today, && probably had THE best customer service I have ever received at a tanning salon. I've gone to quite a few, from Mission grove (which the girls were rude and stuck up as hell) downtown riverside, and a place by the mall. The front girl I believe her name was Leslie; was super helpful! Gave me a tour of each room && specific details about all the beds && memberships. Which every girl who works at a tanning salon should do, inform the customer, even if they've been tanning for years. I was probably there for 15 min talking to her about the beds as well as just a normal conversation. And after talking to her, I signed up for a membership. Pricing isn't bad at all, place is clean, and they have cute clothes in the front lol the only thing that was a little of an issue was, on the website it says 19.99 a month but I guess it's 29.99. Which isn't a big deal, && she did give me the 19.99 for the first month (yelp had a coupon as well) website sometimes don't update as fast as the stores do. So, only advice for the store.. Update the website (: other than that, I will be telling my friends to come here read more

Genuinely unhappy with the customer service at this location the apparent manager "Katie" is extremely unhelpful and also give extremely bad advice I asked for a tan enhancer for bed tanning and she gave me a sunless tanner that's streaked my entire body I was unable to remove this sunless tanner for days! DO NOT TAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THIS EMPLOYEE she has no clue what she is speaking of. On another note the beds are beautiful and the location is nice! But I cannot express how much customer service counts and if I could give a 0 star for Katie I would she's is just plain rude and unhelpful this place has great potential but not with stank faces like hers! I've been tanning on and off since I was in high school (which was 20+ years ago). I must say Palm Beach Tan has been by far the best tanning salon I've ever been to! I've been politely greeted by every staff member the instant I walk through the door and they are always there to wish me a great day! My favorite thing that I like the most is the fact most of the girls remember my name when I walk through the door (and I only go 2 or 3 times a week)!! That's awesome customer service in my book! This review is specifically for a girl that works there names Leslie. I went in today after not coming in for quite sometime. I got a spray tan and I tanned in a bed I had become a little pasty because I'm naturally super white and was a little confused as to where to start again. Leslie. Was super helpful and super nice and had such a great attitude even though she was crazy slammed , and the only girl working cause the other was on break. I even had a little splotchy spots from where the mystic tan missed a spot and she was super quick to help me and spray me with something to even it all out.She even offered to spray me again if I went home and washed off real quick but it was fine. After that she helped me pick out a great tanning lotion. Honestly I was blown away by how positive and cheerful and the outstanding customer service it will keep me coming back. I've tanned at a lot of different tanning salons here in Riverside and Corona and I have to say that Palm Beach Tan is by far the best. Everyone who works there is always so friendly, the place is always clean, I love the hours that they are open, I've never had to wait for a bed because it was being used and needed to be cleaned, you don't have to make/have an appointment, and parking is never a problem (there's plenty of parking). And then there's Jillian who works there. She is the best! She always makes me feel like she's happy to see me, even though I can sometimes be a pain with all my OCD issues (and I do have them).
