The place has definitely changed their look. But, I think Destiny is a very helpful, cheerful staff member. She also has knowledge on the products and the different beds out there. I look forward to seeing the changes to the bed selection in the up and coming months, like the red light therapy and aqua mist beds. I have no plans of canceling my membership and will recommend this location to friends who are interested in tanning. read more

I have coming to Summit Beach tanning for years and as it you may all know it is now Palm Beach tan ..I was hesitant at first, because it's a new crew and a new owner. My first day in the salon at Palm Beach Tan was awesome. I was greeted by a young lady named destiny who her personality just blew me away. She was very helpful, very kind and welcomed me. After that I met a young lady name Alissa , who also was very kind very knowledgeable of the items that they are currently selling. I've been tanning here for years. Their tanning beds are the best and they are all happy and greet me well. I love going in and saying hi for a little bit and getting a quick tan. I stop by after work and there usually isn't a long wait either. The staff is knowledgeable on the equipment too. Love it here and will come back years to come. read more

This is by far the worst company. Please don't waste your time people. The ownership doesn't care for any of us. There machines didn't work and kept failing. Save your money and go to a real company. read more

I've been a member of what used to be summit tanning for over 4 plus years now. It had been months since I'd been tanning, but I continued paying monthly my membership of $80.00. A few weeks ago I stopped by to tan and they were closed in the middle of the day. There were new signs that appeared to be about hair color, but noting about under new ownership.. no sign on the door... nothing. The advertisement actually only said color with a model with blue or purple hair, which lead me to believe that it was now a hair salon. I was bummed because the location, staff and owner were awesome. Skip forward to a couple weeks and I get a draft from my bank account from palm beach tanning out of I believe San Diego area. I thought it was fraud because I knew submit tanning had closed and the owner was local. I start doing research and come to find out it's under new ownership. Now I know they have my information because summit has you fill out all your personal info when you become a client, plus they have my bank account info. So when they sold it they sold my info too? With no notice of néw ownership or introduction to palm beach tanning. It would have been nice to have had some kind of notification because I cancelled my debit card based on thinking someone had used my card to purchase tanning supplies or membership in San Diego. It's Just bad business. It's a big chain of tanning salons all over Southern Cali. The old owner kept a spotless salon and her staff was absolutely adorable... that's really why I continued to pay my monthly membership when I actually didn't go sometimes for a year or more at a time. Missing Lori and summit beach tan now more than ever. As I client she freq vented to me and I understand why she sold but if this place wasn't literally right around the corner from my house I would cancel and go somewhere else. The new staff feels very cold and not welcoming and condescending when they attempt to be welcoming. When I tan I expect to relax. Prior there used to be music in each room with volume control. Now there isn't and the salon radio is off half the time. The last thing I want to hear when relaxing tanning is a random loud cackle or scream or private conversations about how one person ruined Halloween costumes for the staff by dressing inappropriately. When I confronted the staff members if the music will be back the reply I got was in a sorry not sorry tone and wasn't appreciated and concluded with a "have a nice day" as I was already half way out the door. They took away the trash cans in the rooms as well doesn't seem sanitary if someone needs to throw something away. read more

Horrible horrible horrible!!!! DON'T WASTE your Money!! I was a previous customer with summit tanning for 10+years And Loved them!! and when palm beach tan came in I thought okay I'm sad Lori and her staff are no longer there but glad it's still a tanning salon.. Nope!!! I gave it so many chances from the rude staff to the taking forever on renovations to them having no music to this day, to the uncleanliness, it always felt so dirty! ohhh and my biggest complaint was barely getting any color at all.. and I had the middle package and would most of the time upgrade for a fee.. their restrictions are ridiculous!! And every time I would hear them say sorry you have to wait 20 min or 10 min till you can tan again to meet the 24 hour restriction and to have to keep track and remember the exact time I was last in was crazy.. yep I became a member thinking I was gonna have almost the same benefits as before and not even close!! so when I went up to cancel my membership they offered me another option I thought okay I will pay a minimal fee every month just to be able to go back anytime and tan for a discounted rate when I wanted to for like a special occasion, but Nope it was still so ridiculously expensive for one time and most likely get no color with these beds..and mind you I tan easily.. then they told me after I said fine I really need this I will upgrade to a better bed bcuz I have a wedding so when I started to pay the crazy one time fee she's says ok but you can only tan for 7 minutes since I see you haven't been here for 30 days !!! I explained I don't burn at all and normally tan for 15.. she was rude and not compassionate at all knowing 7 min for that amount of money I was paying for one time would do nothing.. They always had excuse after excuse of why the beds were not tanning me.. I never have had that problem with summit tanning at all.. then they would try and sell me their insanely expensive lotions , they would say it helps with the process.. Umm No Thank you!! I decided to quit throwing my money into a salon that has such horrible customer service.. I would get a girl here or there that was nice but it was never consistent!! Sorry Not Sorry I am saving so much money now, not to mention my time and headaches by not going back there.. read more
