This review is only about the spary tan. The spray tan rarely works. I go 1-2 a month. About half the time it is down. I'm told to go to another location. Why? Have your services work? Phone is disconnected or it doesn't take call during business hours to call and see if the Spray tan is working The staff is great. I'm rating this a 5 star specifically because of my interaction with Asper. I've been using Palm Beach in Petaluma for well over a year now, usually 2-3 times a month. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. They run out of materials for their spray tans often, but I don't believe that should be a reflection on my rating. This week, Asper asked me if I knew about a specific membership program where I would be paying a monthly charge, but overall saving money on my multiple tans a month. I had NO IDEA this was a thing! They have been such a sh*tshow for the past few months. Spray tan machines never work. I've had so many experiences where I get half sprayed & have an awkward tan. Can someone please open another spray tan place in Petaluma? A machine? I know so many people that would go. Having a person do it is another option of course but it costs a lot more & I typically would not do that on a regular basis. They also don't notify people when the beds are out so I've wasted a lot of time driving across town to come here to find out they don't work. They are having issues with being open, lately they are closed almost every time we show up and yesterday they decided to change their hours from 8-8 to 11-6 that's fine for me but other lady's were upset, and rightfully so, again today I show up and they aren't open at 11 . My dealings with Palm Beach Tan were always very good until I no longer lived in the area where they have services. I went in person to cancel my membership, prior to moving, and was told by a very sweet young lady that she would cancel my membership IMMEDIATELY. When I reviewed my credit card and noticed that the charges were still coming through. Upon reaching out to Palm Beach Tan (Petaluma) and speaking to their "Manager" she said, there was nothing they could do as you needed to cancel by the 25th of the month, I was there on the 27th. Okay, I completely understand BUT I was told my membership would be cancelled IMMEDIATELY. The Manager explained that she was confident that her staff did not say this and because she wasn't there she couldn't confirm it either. She was less then courteous and needs some much needed customer service and grammar skills. She was rude, curt and until I pushed her, all I kept hearing was "It's out of my control". So I asked her to have her Manager call me, or reach back out to me. She reluctantly said, she would try. Try? That's not a tough task. When she returned my call, she was fast speaking, over talking, when I had a question and I must say, "if I were her boss I would have written her up." I pay 136.00 dollars for a membership to tan and the clerk at the salon won't let me tan. Why not? The computer says I owe for the month. I show my bank statements where the Palm Beach tan is withdrawing $136.00 every month like clockwork but I can't tan. I am being defrauded and shamed. I needed to get some color before a tropical vacation. The manager was great at explaining the options to me. I've been going for almost a month and everyone is always friendly. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a bed. A piece of great advice given by one of the team members on tanning in a bed - definitely tan the same amount of minutes at least twice before increasing the time another minute! My husband surprised me with a tanning package! He was helped by Jocelyne and could not be happier with his experience. Jocelyne had great customer service, was friendly and very helpful to my husband. I did my first tan today and was helped by Jessica. She knows her stuff! I really like this place ignore the other reviews it's clean and the girls up front are always sweet and helpful. It can be hard for me to make it there with much time to spare before closing, but they always let me tan when I arrive. DO NOT sign up with this salon - unless you want to go through a 3 MONTH cancellation process. I went into the salon to cancel my membership, but the folks working their said that it can only be done online. Great. I take out my phone and cancel on their website right then and there. I received a notification saying 'your request has been completed' - yet I've been charged $164. I sent an email to customer service and they said someone would reach out from the Petaluma location and take care of it. Nope. Still charged. I sent them pictures of my bank statements and they said they had NO RECORD of me being charged. Absolute liars. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT SIGN UP. The problem STILL has not been resolved. HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. My husband and I went into this salon yesterday July 8, 2021 and asked if we could please use the restroom. The two woman at the front desk said that it was ok. We proceeded back to the restroom and out of nowhere the two woman that work there came barging up to us and cornered us, asking if we needed help? We told them, we were fine, we were just going to use the restroom. The two woman acted like they didn't give us permission to go to the restroom. They began to ask us if we are customers and if we have a membership. And then also had started saying that now the restroom isn't working. Even though we got permission to use the restroom, we were already at the entrance of the restroom, they told us we could not use the restroom in a very rude manner. These two woman need further training in customer service and how you treat people. The way they barged up to us and cornered us made us feel very uncomfortable, especially after getting permission to proceed back to the restroom. read more

I am a very frequent tanner (5 times a week) and I love coming into this salon every morning to see Talia and Grayce. Those two are amazing and if I were rating this salon based off their customer service alone I'd give them more then just a 5 stars rating. They are always extremely helpful and make you feel like family there. I've also seen these two girls on multiple occasions go above and beyond their duties and I greatly appreciate their dedication to making sure I'm taken care of. However, when it comes to the actual beds themselves I'm a bit disappointed and my rating is only a reflection of that alone. Right now I have a diamond membership and hate to use the bed I'm actually paying for because I feel it's a waste of my tan time. The bed does not get hot and I noticed no change in my color. I thought maybe it was just me building up a tolerance to the bed, but after using the exact same bed in Rohnert Park I realized this is not the case. The diamond bed there not only gets hot, but you walk out feeling like it's already made a difference in your color. I really wish I could give this place better rating because the girls at the Petaluma location really are very helpful in pointing me in the direction of the beds with the newer bulbs and as much as I do appreciate this, at the same time, if I'm going to pay for a diamond membership then I should be able to get the quality tan that I'm looking for. If it were not for the fact that the Petaluma location is convenient and the staff is great I'd probably end up elsewhere. read more

I visited Palm Beach Tans today only to find out that they have new ownership, I was denied a tanning session because due to the change of ownership my credit card needed to be updated and my previous month payment hadn't posted, they wanted me to pay a $11 fee to reconcile my account, I refused due to the fact that it's not my fault, and asked to speak to the manager, that was on 330 Friday afternoon April 6, I have not heard back from the manager, I believe that a $10 fee to reinstate a $17 membership is absorbent,m also over the last two years the staff has changed multiple times, many times during Covid Palm Beach tans was not open even during their posted hours, also they force their staff to wear revealing outfits that are not flattering and Degra date women, in addition to that it has come to my attention that they require their staff to stand for 10 hour shifts and not allowed to Sit, read more

I just joined palm beach tan about 2 months ago and so far i am pretty disappointed in the lack of basic tanning knowledge the employees have and basic customer service skills they severely lack! My first time tanning i had to ask the girl what the benefits were of the bed i was choosing and how to use the bed...i left it to the very last min when i was getting ready to go to my tanning room...because i was expecting her to tell me on her own. Then i came in this morning to tan and the girl working barely greeted me with a hello no smile she just looked unhappy to be there and when i asked her a simple question about if the beds have been used as in (are they warm because it's freezing! Lol) she didn't know how to answer me...and she was just sitting in an office with no greets goodbye when i left...not welcoming at all! (She had purple hair) At the very least great customer service should me a must. If there were any other tanning salons around the area i would most likely switch based on my experience so far. Very disappointed that Royal Tan was bought out by this franchise. Prices have gone up and they made me pay a 20$ initiation fee even though I had been a customer for royal tan for 10 years. The only reason I keep going here is bc it is the only tanning place near me and they bought out all the others. They took away the water machine and the mirrors that Royal provided. Water? I have had some of the worst service here. Staff can be rude and unhelpful.. however I think they have the best beds, especially the diamond level. My boyfried lives in Windsor and I in Petaluma so the multiple locations are VERY helpful!
