I have been going to Waikiki Beach for years and I love this place for their sprays tans! Super friendly staff, very clean, and the prices are good! I also love that they sell Hempz Lotions! I just bought a 3 pack of spray tans today and was given a really sweet goody bag with Hempz Lotions and a dry brush! My spray tan looks great and I'm ready for spring! Thank you so much! read more

I have been a customer of this salon for years. Today my husband and I came in to tan and we were accused of stealing tanning goggles from the bed/room the last two visits. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by this accusation made by Tori who was extremely rude and unprofessional. We have brought up our towel and goggles every single time and have done so since the signs were put up. If we wanted our own goggles, we would purchase them ourselves since we are financially capable of doing so. I can't help but feel this is a baseless accusation that feels deeply rooted in racism. Will be taking our business elsewhere.- Edit to add- I was contacted by their supervisor, Tessa addressing my concerns with this particular employee. Needless to say, they reviewed the last four visits we made and did in fact see I did what was asked. My husband placed the goggles in the towel bin vs in a water container. So rather than taking accountability for her poorly trained associates, she put the blame on me saying I fabricated this situation and the employee only said this as a reminder to the both of us. All while saying "we won't raise a stink about goggles." Then why was this an issue from the get go? When we asked your associate why would we steal tanning bed goggles, she did not offer a response or apology for misunderstanding her "reminder"? Could you see her demeanor and body language towards me with your grade a camera system? Why was your associate hostile when she brought up the situation when we checked in? If this was only supposed to be addressed to my (Caucasian) husband, then why did she only address me and refuse to look at my husband? But don't worry, Tessa made sure to let me know that the owner is married to a Hispanic woman, they employee POC (I've seen one woman of color in a span of 5 years), and they would never hire a racist person! I had no idea that background checks at tanning salons were so robust these days! My "claims" and "accusations" were met with gaslighting and turning this situation on me. It's pretty wild that the two white women put the blame on a brown woman. A woman who was made to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed over a situation they started. The best part was the attempt to negotiate a solution...why would I ever return and provide money to a place that treated us so poorly? As you can see by the other reviews their customer service is complete garbage and you're better off spending your money elsewhere. What a joke! Thank you for providing such a traumatic experience over a pair of .50 cent goggles! Probably the most tone deaf interactions I've ever had with 20 year olds who think they have a stronger grasp on what it's like to live in a conservative state as a minority! read more

This place looks a little ghetto from the outside, but don't worry, they actually have some of the nicest beds I've seen. The staff are always super friendly and helpful and the prices, while not dirt cheap, are reasonable for the quality of what you're getting (at least if you go the monthly pass route). They have a lot of different tiers of tanning beds, I found the second tier beds to be plenty but I'm a (relatively) white guy. They have spray tanning and those special beds that like analyze your skin tone and tan you accordingly. Those are obviously quite a bit more expensive. If you sign up for a membership the price per month goes down pretty drastically, so it just depends how much you want to go there. All in all, really nice people, nice beds, and they're never too busy (I've never had to wait for a bed). If you want to get rid of your pasty winter skin I can't think of a better place for you to go. read more

Beware! They don't honor their word. I called before purchasing an unlimited monthly package online and confirmed with their staff exactly what the "unlimited monthly" included (in this specific case, I was very particular whether or not it included the normal beds WITH facial tanners). When I arrived that same day, they did not honor what they said. In addition, they charged an additional tax AFTER I had purchased my deal. Finally, the bed that I finally received was beat up and old. Bottom Line: Deceptive! read more

I purchased a Groupon to try out this tanning salon. The customer service isn't great, but the spray tan alone was good-hence the 2 stars for that. Both times after my spray tan session the employees weren't out front to make sure as a new client that every thing went smoothly. After trying it out, I actually was going to get a month long pass for the versa spa spray tan. But since there was never an employee out front to purchase it after my session I didn't. I waited around for 5 mins and looked for a bell to ring for someone to come, but never found one or never saw an employee after any of my sessions. Customer service speaks volumes to a company and I feel like they could make sure they are visible for customers to ask questions after a session or to help them commit to a purchase after. They weren't friendly either. The first time I went, the girl said to the UPS guy that they were closed right in front of me, but I was there well before their early 3pm closing Saturday hours and the doors were still open. It made me feel uncomfortable. They close earlier than most other salons every day of the week, so I made sure to plan accordingly an hour before close. Overall, They lost my business. I tried twice to see if it was just a fluke. But both times I had the same experience with two different employees of unsatisfactory customer service. Also, every spray tan Salon I've been in has a mirror in the room to make sure you get the hair net where it should be and to touch up after a tan session if needed-There is no mirror in the versa spa to do this. I am completely in shock at how UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE this tanning salon is. I wanted to try Waikiki Beach because it's closer to my house. I was going to try it before my current salon but the girl was so rude a long time ago that me and my husband went to Secret Beach-which is wonderful btw. I heard they got a new manager so we decided to give it a try and the new manager Tessa and the man in the supply co. attached to the salon were VERY nice and actually rectified the past rude situation we had. We still had a month left of our pass at our current salon though so we made arrangements to purchase the Waikiki pass for December. My husband called and spoke to a girl named Melissa and she was soo rude!!! Just like the girl was 3 months ago. Then when I tried to call and politely ask for someone/anyone who was above her she was rude to me AND told me she couldn't give me any info to get ahold of anyone! I could not believe it!!! So I'm sorry to say, with customer service like that and having it happen so often-Waikiki Beach lost ALOT of $$$ by losing us because not only do we spent a TON of $ for the most expensive passes but we purchase 4 or more tanning lotion between the 2 of us a month. The ONLY reason I'm even giving Waikiki Beach 1 star is because Tessa and the guy next door were so friendly. If you like EXTREMELY RUDE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE then by all means, then Waikiki Beach is the tanning salon for you ladies & gentlemen!!! read more

I came here because my tanning place closed. I wished I had checked this place out way sooner. The girl at the check I was very nice. The place looks a little ghetto on the outside but wow the inside is beautiful. The beds are wonderful the prices are reasonable. Glad my old place went out of business. Love this place. read more
