I've been coming here for 10 years. I'm usually very pleased. Friday the Versa Pro was down. I pay $80/mo for this service. I don't mind using an alternative for sunless tanning, however, I don't feel like I should have to pay extra to do so, when the service that I pay for is broke. I get it's only $14, but it's not my fault the Versa Pro is down. Not to mention, the alternative sunless tanning booth is only a TWO pass. So I paid extra $$ for a lesser service. Like I said $14 isn't much, but it's the principle. Here's an easier way to look at it. January $80, February $80, March $80, April $80, May $80, June $94. Husband says "why was June $94?" Me- "I had to pay extra because the Versa Pro was down and I couldn't use it." Husband- "Oh okay so you had to use a better sunless tanning booth?" Me- "No it was a downgrade." Now do you understand how absurd that sounds? Do better! read more

I haven't been to this location in a while... But pleased to learn that they have the beauty angel. I've been healing from surgery and the beauty Angel does wonders. All the girls in here are super sweet and the water bottles are even complementary!!!! I've had a great experience at almost every location, and will definitely be back to this one soon. read more

Well, so far so good. I decided to take the plunge and go from pasty white to (hopefully) having a nice tan. No Cheeto color for me, thank you! The young ladies up front have all been very welcoming and pleasant. I was initially nervous to get under a tanning bed since it's been 7 years since my last tan but the PBT Team put my mind at ease. So it's only been three tans with more to come. My plan is to go often the first month and then eventually slow down. Fingers crossed this turns out well for me! read more

I've been tanning here intermittently for years. I reactivated my account after about 8 months or so and they offer a super convenient feature where instead of canceling your account altogether you can put it on an inactive status where you only pay a few bucks a month which is applied to your first month or any skin care product once you're ready to reactivate. I really appreciated that. Taylor at the front desk was awesome and went through several of their skin care products with me, made some excellent recommendations and let me sample each one. If Hannah is working don't bother! I've been tanning here for YEARS! Maybe 10 years at least! I get the same versa pro spray tan every time. I'm in and out, quick and easy, no problem. The last few encounters I've had with this person, they were out of solution or the versa pro was down... Oh this was a fun one because she sent me to the Vineyards with 15 min until close. When I brought to her attention that it was 15 min until closing she insisted the Vineyards was only 8 minutes away so off I went because ok fine... And the Vineyards location was amazing. But this time, at Stone Ridge, a lady went into the versa pro as I walked in at 9:45 pm. This wasn't the first time. Several other employees (like I said, YEARS) were always kind and accommodating to everyone in the salon and I respected their time as well. Not one time did anyone refuse service because they had friends waiting in the car out front. Never! Hannah was so put out that I was there for the same versa pro spray tan she insisted I used a different spray tan booth. Well I've tried that before due to the versa pro being down and it wasn't nearly the same tan for me. I explained to Hannah that I came for the versa pro and the other spray tan booths didn't work for me. I'm leaving town in the morning, I got there as soon as I could, the other lady was already in the booth and I assured Hannah I would be quick. Then the ultimatum. The previous customer had to be out of the versa pro by 10 pm because she had to close the salon by 10:15 pm. I was appalled but told her I would take my chances. Well the previous customer walked out at 10:00 pm. I was ready to let Hannah wipe it down and I was ready to hop right in, I know the drill, any other employee I encountered did just that, but that's not what happened this time Hannah texted her friends out front. Hannah cleaned other beds, then Hannah asked me if there was anything she could help me with because she wasn't going to allow me to spray tan. What?! She spent more time arguing with me and wasn't the least bit friendly, compassionate or accommodating. Don't waste your time! Go ANYWHERE else! Sad. read more

Mari was lazy, NOT customer service at all. she kept me and another lady waiting while she was jaw jacking on her phone. the other girl was just as lazy, blah personalities could not care less. when I was about to sign up for a membership, phone rang and Mari again just having a grand time jaw jacking, so I finally left. this was the second palm beach tan I had been to with horrible service. I'm glad because in the end I went to another company and had a young beautiful, smart, attentive, and engaging woman help me, so I got a great membership and I AM TANNED!!!!! read more

Meh.... it's corporate so they have super tight stupid rules. They always try to upsell and they have a start up cost, which is so dumb! They offer now contracts but you have to pay $20 to register... Lame. It's usually pretty clean but their "culture" of upitty, annoying staff gets old. read more

I am a FAN of Palm Beach Tan, particularly this top-quality location as compared to the other San Antonio locations and the New Braunfels and Schertz locations. What makes this salon superior to all other Palm Beach Tans? I'll tell you. The beds and rooms are ALWAYS clean, even if the salon is busy, they still quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently clean beds/rooms before they allow another customer to use a bed. Yes, it is mandatory for them to clean the rooms and resupply them with goggles and a towel in between use, but at other locations, sometimes "clean" doesn't truly mean clean. Remember, most people are using these tanning beds while they are naked and sweating. If it's not cleaned properly, that's absolutely disgusting. I am beyond thrilled that I do not have to worry about that at this location. The employees are dressed in the standard black Palm Beach Tan polo and leggings and tennis shoes. They all look like goddesses though. But the best thing about the staff here is that they seem to know literally everything about each bed and all the lotions carried. They go the extra length to provide quality customer service, answering any questions you might have. It's extremely nice to walk into a location and have them smile and remember your name, even when you have not been in quite a while. Unlike other locations, the staff does not push you into buying things even though their hours are determined by meeting certain sales goals. You may have to wait sometimes, but this is the best location by far and worth the wait. Palm Beach Tan is expensive. You truly do get what you pay for. 10/10 recommend this location! read more

I've been coming here for almost two years now and I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Not only are they all very knowledgeable about their beds and all of their products and lotions, they never fail to be super friendly and helpful. I never feel rushed, even when I come rolling in shortly before they close. (Yes, I tend to be one of "those" customers. ) They always go out of their way to remind me anytime I have a reward available or when they're running a special promotion, which I truly appreciate. Very helpful staff who take their time and explain the packages be pricing structure. I just did a single visit since I'm visiting the area for only a few weeks but the membership is definitely the way to go if you to even semi regularly. Salon is very clean & beds appear to be taken care of. When you walk in the tanning lotion smell is wafting through the air. They have Ergoline brand beds & offer both Versa & Mystic spray tan booths! The employees are dressed professionally & are very knowledgeable of the beds and products. They don't offer single sessions or #visit packages; only memberships with enrollment fees. Womp womp. I left without tanning, but plan on returning when I have money for a membership. Ok first the good! The place is clean and beds are well kept. The bad, DO NOT LET THEM AUTO BILL YOUR CREDIT CARD. Moved to San Antonio and decided to try tanning for the first time. I did not want a membership as I was not sure if this was going to be for me. The gal at the desk explained the plans and I decided to pay for one month with no auto membership. I got my credit card statement and had been charged over $200. Called in and she explained the billing to to and I guessed I did not realize how expensive the lotions were. Tanned for a month and that was it. Got an email offer for $19.95 a month. Went in and was upsold for 20 more bucks for higher level beds. Okay, well my first month they charged me over 60 dollars and the second month 70 dollars. Boy was I confused. Asked at the desk to explain this and was told they could not see the billing I would need to see the manager and she wasn't in. Finally I was so confused decided to cancel. Hard sales pitch and double talk about what I had signed up for. Beware, do not sign the electronic keypad until you see what you are signed up for. read more

I've tanned at many different places and I just want to say that the staff at THIS particular location is seriously the SWEETEST I have ever come across with! They're always glad to help anyone, they smile and don't have that "ughhh high school girl" attitude that many seem to have elsewhere, and are just always in a great mood, that they'll even put me in a happy mood! Can't say the same for other tanning salons in different towns, other tanning salons here in San Antonio and unfortunately can't say the same for the Palm Beach in Lincoln Heights which is where I have to tan when I go during my lunch break. The staff is super friendly and helpful, but the rooms are kind of dirty, it grossed me out to be in there in bare feet. It looks like the floors never seem to get cleaned. They felt super grimey and gross and had the same tanning lotion glob on the floor every time I went to tan. It's that time of year again... you know, the time when you're expected to be all bronzy and beautiful. This location is clean, and the staff is generally pretty friendly. I am a little annoyed when they try to convince me I need a $125 bottle of tanning lotion to go along with my top level tanning package. Ugh. Who can afford that? Not this girl! Still, I appreciate their commitment to sales. I use the Sun Angel tanning bed because I'm all paranoid about skin cancer. It has a nifty little sensor that scans your skin and adjusts the temperature of the tanning bed to ensure you won't burn. I've tried the Mystic Tan a couple of times, and it's cool but I have pretty sensitive skin so it makes me itchy... and a little orange if you try to use a shade any darker than the light option. Bottom line, it's clean and I always leave feeling all sassy and tan for the summer! read more

I have heard from other friends that other Palm Beach tans are way more flexible and willing to work with customers. For example, if there is an online special this location won't accept it but others will. My daughter has a membership at college and i had bought 3 tans at this location. When she was in town, and they wouldn't let her use her membership or even use one of mine. If i paid for 3 then i should be able to give her one. Work with your customers !! read more

This tanning bed is fine. It's basically the only one in the area around my house and that's why I go. There is one girl that works there that is always so pushy about products. I hate walking in when I see her at the front desk. I buy my lotion online because it's cheaper and apply it at home before I leave to come here because I live just around the corner. When I told her that, she told me that it's better to apply it right before I tan at their store. What? I live 3 min away! She said it as if she thought I was lying about having any lotion because I don't bring it in the store. So annoying! read more

Tanning beds, specials, pricing, and service were all great. I had a membership with them for over 2 years, then due to an unforseen family emergency, I had to temporarily move out of town and, unfortunately, there wasn't a PBT there. I forgot to cxl my membership, although I did have to cxl the debit card the pymts were deducting from. You would think after a couple of unsuccessful pymts, they would automatically cxl my account. Not so. Instead I received a bill for over $300 for past due pymts. Are you kidding me?! They actually think I'm paying for services I didn't receive? I didn't sign a contract committing to X amount of months leaving me obligated to pay. Outrageous. It's a shame too because I'm back in town and would have really liked to renew my membership. Have to look elsewhere. read more

Then I had been there a while about to be a new customer and let someone else who had just gotten there go before me! Then the blonde headed young girl was snotty when I asked questions! I've been tanning at this location for about 8 months...I usually go about once or twice a week at most...I like beds 18 and 19 the best...The Sun Angel is cool but I don't feel like my tan is as great compared to bed 19...The Mystic Tan definitely needs to be perfected...I tried it several years ago and HATED it. They convinced me the formula was different and to give it a try...Yeah, pretty much the same thing...I was blotchy and had random brown spots all over my body...I tried it a couple more times and decided it was not for me. They just got the VersaSpa which I actually really like but not so much the sticky feeling afterwards. It doesn't smell as badly as the Mystic. However, they did not tell me the bronzer would stain my clothes. So, I now have a brown bra after the first time going into the Versa. I don't do the Versa very often because I don't like not being able to take a shower for 6 hours...My membership includes all beds + Mystic and Versa so I figured why not take advantage of it. My biggest complaint is that the Sun Angel and bed 19 are often in use when I go and I have to wait. Other than that, no complaints... read more
