What should be three hours of bowling turns into four because of bad equipment and an owner or owners that don't care. Always a fun experience here. The lanes are working most of the time and their response time when something goes wrong is fast. The food is great and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. There's an arcade area that the kids enjoy and there is ample seating opportunities. read more

I was hesitant to go after reading reviews but I went anyway to meet a group of friends. I ordered 6 wings hot w/ fries. While they were not that hot which I like, if you are a hot person I would order up. The wings seem very fresh and cooked to perfection and the fries were delicious. The bar bathroom was clean. I love this place! I've been coming here since I was a little kid... sure... it's not the nicest nor cleanest but it sure has some awesome bowling! Their food is Decent, edible unlike some. A large of selection of bowling balls from 24lbs to 5lbs nice arcade too! Bathrooms... are not very clean but not horrible. This is the worst kept bowling alley I have ever been in. The rug is disgusting, the bathrooms are disgusting, half the computers do not work. The equipment constantly breaks down. and now we are not allowed to bring in our own water bottles? So the owners want to make more money by making us buy our food and beverages there, that I get, but the owners aren't putting any money into fixing the place up. Yet they increase the league rates every year. All you have to do is visit Ormond Lanes and you'll see the difference. I'm surprised any leagues even want to bowl there. I dont care what these past reviews say. The Palm Coast Lanes is a great bar and facility. Though I bowl occasionally, the facility is clean and fun. It's always packed and a great place for locals. As for the bar, hands down the best wings in town. Burgers are fantastic. Sandwiches never disappoint. Meatballs are the bomb (when Michelle the kitchen manager makes them), drinks are at a good price. Karen, Charlotte, Jenai, Nikki, Jessica, Rachel, Erica, Quincey and Carol run a great ship. We heard these wings were awesome so being new to town we were excited to try them. We ordered 6 lemon pepper with fries and 10 sweet Thai chili. The wings were puny and dry, not a lot of sauce on the chili ones, very little flavor on the lemon pepper, and the fries were soggy with no salt. In full transparency we ordered take out and they were in styrofoam containers which could have made matters worse. We will not be ordering from here again, sadly. read more

The alley puts a false dependence on its customers that we're able to come on work nights like Tuesday or Wednesday, when our friend group can rarely accommodate that. The absolute worst business I have gone to. My friends and I came here to meet our co-workers, have a drink or two and bowl. We are all from Pennsylvania, and moved here a few months ago, and have Pennsylvania drivers licenses. The bartenders withheld our Id's for at least 15 minutes to "verify" them. They came back and denied us service and said we needed to get out the bar, I went to speak to the pregnant brunette bartender and she stuck up her finger, and cursed me out and said "fucking try me, fucking try me." I did not curse at this woman, or disrespect her. Moral of the story, they denied all of us service because of our ID's. Rudest bartenders, and a disrespectful business. How can you not verify an ID? Did not even ask us for second forms of ID's or anything. Will never return here again, and if you are from out of state, they will deny you service because they discriminate. "dedicated to taking the fun and safety out of bowling". That should be the tag line at Palm Coast Lanes. Last night I went there for the last time. For starters it took over two hours for two experienced bowlers to play three games because the pinsetter malfunctioned after almost every shot. Either the ball would not return or the pinsetter would drop a load of pins on the deck. And to top if off the while my ball was stuck in the return just for good measure it took a deep gouge out of it that will not need to be plugged. Nearly every time we would go over to the desk to ask them to get our ball there would be no one there. After the mechanical problems the next issue is that absolute ciaos going on. Next to us we had a teenage birthday party. I am guessing freshman or sophomore (playing with bumpers up, Really?). Who were out of control. They would rush up to the foul line 3 and 4 at a time. No joke and not even stay in their own lane. At one point they nearly knocked my wife over from behind as she was taking a shot. When I went to complain to the girl with the really bad red hair dye job she yelled at me "I'm not responsible for bowler behavior" as she turned and walked away. She apparently thinks she get paid to be on her cell phone. Oh did I mention the 3 year old girl running around the approach to her lane with a huge Styrofoam cup with what looked like pink lemon-aid with no adult supervision. Thank God her five year old "big sister" realize that did not look like a good idea. She took the cup away from her and prevented her walking right passed the foul lane and down toward the pins. Palm Coast Lanes better rethink that attitude. You are absolutely responsible for your bowling center's environment. If my wife had gotten hurt. You find our picture on billboard that says "Dan got me $$$". This bowling center is dirty, poorly maintained, and has no one "in charge" at least not on a Sunday afternoon. Ormond Beach is just not that far away folks. read more

Two stars instead of one because they finally got some new equipment for the lanes. Sadly, the good stops there. The service is horrible and the front desk team does not care one bit about the customers. Apparently, they think their job is to sit on there cell phones and tell you, "one minute" while they finish updating their Facebook status. The shoes are all well beyond their service life; bring double socks and your own Lysol if you rent shoes. Moving on to the game itself; the pin setters and digital score boards finally work, well, at least work more than the workers themselves. When your ball does get stuck you should expect to wait a good 5 minutes to find someone or just go get it yourself. The "arcade" is old and outdated with most things in bad repair. The carpets are gross and appear to have never been cleaned. The walls are dirty and covered in a film of sticky, spilled alcohol and children's birthday cake remains. The bathrooms smell foul and are very tired; the men's room did not even have a door or mirrors. But, the chairs and tables are newer and in good shape. The food appears to be school cafeteria quality when it comes to the chicken fingers and fries. They used to have amazing wings, but now they are lackluster and, surprisingly, both over cooked and undercooked in the same basket. Overall, the owners of this facility need to step it up if they want to keep people coming back. I get the feeling people come once and never return. read more

Booked a birthday party for my daughter weeks in advance. They looked surprised when we showed up for the party. They were not prepared for us and apparently had double booked the entire bowling alley. The hostess looked like she had been up all night partying and was not attentive at all. In fact, all the staff were snippy and rude. The woman told me we needed to be packed up and out by 2:00, she'd prefer us to leave at 1:30 though. Why would I pay for two hours but have to leave a half hour early? They were pretty much shoving us out the door at 1:45. It was totally unprofessional. There were no decorations for the party. Not even a table cloth! I paid $125 for no decorations.. a couple of pitchers of juice.. some French fries and chicken nuggets and two hours of bowling. It will be a memorable birthday for little girl, but not a good one. We will NEVER come back to that place! read more

This was the worst bowling experience ever. From the moment we walked in, the woman at the desk was extremely rude. The sound system is terrible, you can't even hear the music. The balls kept getting stuck and when I went up to the counter to tell them, the man said "well that shouldn't happen" and walked away from me. Prices were great! Went with a large group around 10 and were able to get lanes side by side! The service was great and inviting! We loved the true southern hospitality. It was a great experience! Only recommendation was that the ambiance was a bit underwhelming. The music was not playing initially and then when it was turned on you could barely hear it. Maybe some better speakers might help! Worst customer service I've every experienced! Haven't bowled yet but stopped in the bar they have and they are bartenders you could every imagine!! I owned a night club in Honolulu Hawaii, a locksmith company in Hawaii, savannah, Sacramento, a mechanic shop and a Day spa! And I know about customer service! Don't hire girls that are rude or have bad customer service! Just don't!! Not only does drive business away but it cost you the owner money and great reviews that will bring more business! And if they don't care about the customers be sure they could care less for your business and inventory etc!! Junk customer service horrible, night mare experience!! We used to love the wings . Had wings tonight. Ordered them with sauces plus garlic, they still have the garlic as we didn't get any with our wings. Had to do dishes after we ate the wings, WHY, because our wings weren't cooked all the way. I had to cook them more. Still red on the drum parts. Who puts blue cheese dressing inside a styrofoam container with hot wings!!!! Hence warm soupy dressing, that went straight in the garbage. Palm coast lanes $30.00 bucks us disappointed. read more

She was on the phone with the owner and he/she would not allow her to get off the phone to assist any customers. Where do you start, run down no up keep on the machines, flooded outside by the doors, upper part of the outside roof is molded leaks and falling down, i feel sorry for the staff they have to put up with this owner who doesn't care a thing about his bowling alley. I love bowling but had a poor experience there tonight at palm coast lanes. My family and I went bowling and were quoted 3.25 a game when the board stated 3.00 a game. At 7:45 pm we were then approached and told we had to be off the lanes by 8:30. At that point we were in the third frame and there was three of us. So we felt a little rushed. Then when it came time to pay they said it was 4.00 per game. I told the man who quoted us the new total what was previously quoted to us by the young lady who was still there behind the counter. He spoke to her and she confirmed that she had quoted us that price. We then handed him a fifty dollar bill to pay, assuming we were going to get the correct change based on the quote we were given earlier. But no, he gave us the change for his adjusted total. Such a shame I am going to spend the extra money on gas to go to Ormond Lanes from now on. Customer service is certainly not practiced here at Palm Coast Lanes. read more
