Our family recently made the trek to Fresno to visit my mother's family's cemetery plot. It was a…read moretouching trip for us as I recently had a headstone made for my mother, who died tragically and was not appropriately honored by her family. The cemetery placed the stone and this was our trip to visit the burial site. It was a lovely day, and the cemetery was absolutely beautiful. The old gravesites were well maintained and it was a joy to walk the rows of family plots and imagine what each of their lives might have been. I am thankful for the care that the staff take to maintain this small and beautiful cemetery, and for creating a sacred space where family feel comfortable visiting.

We let him know that we were there to make arrangements for my uncle who had passed a couple of days before. He asked if we had an appointment and we informed him that we were told by the receptionist who answered the phone that walk-ins were ok, he informed us that that was incorrect but he would try to locate someone who could meet with us. The gentleman then called to the back to verify if someone was available to help us. After waiting in an overly warm, gnat and mosquito laden waiting area for more than 30 minutes, we were escorted to the back office by Matt. Matt was condescending, rude and spoke to us as if we didn't understand what he was saying and couldn't afford the services he was offering. He kept looking at his watch as if we were wasting his time. At which point, I started gathering my things to leave because I will not stand for someone treating me as if we don't belong there. I stopped listening to him after a couple of minutes but gave my family member time to ask questions and to find out more. The absolute second we left out of the building we both looked at each other and decided we were never coming back because of overall feeling of not feeling welcome by any staff we encountered that day and Matt, is the absolute nail in the coffin for us deciding never returning there again!

When my mother passed away a few years ago I was told by my family that I would have to write her eulogy. I was terrified and drew a blank. If it hadn't been for a wonderful man working at the chapel I'd of never got it done. But he provided my with a workbook about grief that outlined how to write a eulogy in step by step detail. It turned out beautiful. I was so proud of myself afterwards. I felt like it's hard to believe that it was me that wrote it!

Angels Cremation has the worst customer service! There is very little follow-up with next of kin…read moreonce they receive payment. Their process is slow and they do not seem to care about communication. They do not offer any assistance beyond another excuse why my husband is still at the coroner's office almost 3 weeks after his passing always placing the delay on the fault of the coroners office or doctors office. Now they state that the cremation, preparation of ashes and death certificate MAY be done next week! Maybe!!!! My life is on hold waiting for them to do the job they have been paid to do.

I had to handle this task from 200 miles away and I am grateful to have chosen this group. Elizabeth took my early morning call and was very compassionate. She guided me through the steps to get my sister cared for with professional grace. From the first call to the home delivery of her ashes, all the staff were efficient and kind. I have worked for an excellent hospice for 20 years now. I am well aware of the standards of cremation and burial agencies. My expectations were exceeded with the staff at the Tulare location.

The entire…read moreprocess from beginning to end was such a smooth process especially because I live in Yuba County, almost a 2 1/2 hr drive. I initially went in to start the process with Jon, explained everything that we wanted and the deadline we needed the headstone by, the rest of my communication with Jon was thru text messages and by phone sometimes if more clarification was needed when we were designing the headstone, adding this and that or removing something, all done by text message and Jon was very patient thru the whole process because every detail creating our headstone had to go thru approval from me to all my siblings. There was no limitation to what they couldn't do. Jon also very knowledgeable about the type of headstone he would recommend due to the hard water in Central Valley cemeteries, he wanted us to have what was best for years to come that will last and not fade away in a year or less. The actual day we went to see the actual headstone, just blew us away, the back of my parents headstone was breathtaking! The images of my parents matched the picture to a tee! We just had the unveiling of the headstone and the 1 year memorial celebration for my parents and the compliments that we received from everyone in attendance saying how beautiful it was, some had never seen that type of design and everyone took pictures with their families posing at the front and back of my parents headstones.
