Arrived 10 minutes early from the 4pm check in. We were told our room wasn't ready yet so we had to wait for 40 minutes?!?! After about 30 minutes, the front desk person told us our room is ready. With that extra waiting, we entered our room and checked into with a dirty microwave. Seems like the spill has been there for a few days as it was hard to scrape it off with wet wipes. Dried booger on the head board! When my wife pointed it out, I thought it was a dead bug. Hard booger! As some of the reviews mentioned, the AC was kind of loud but not much. Rooms are pretty and renovated. No more carpet, from what the older reviews said. Staffs were great thought. Explained to us all the necessary details. Our room was next to the street, close by the lobby area. It wasn't loud with the cars passing by. What was loud was the house keeping people. At 9:30am, we heard a loud bang next to our door or maybe on our door. Went out to check it out and 2 house keeping people looked at me as if I was the weird one making the noise. I looked next to our door and it was a vacuum and a big broom. Seems like one of those was thrown at our door, the way the loud bang sounded. So much for the do not disturb sign. The property was nice and clean overall. Friendly staffs. Enough parking for the hotel. Mini fridge and microwave in the room. Coffee pods, Creamer and sugar with their own branded cups. Extra coffee and creamer was available upon request and you can ask the housekeepers. We were informed that room service is not available as well. So we didn't have the opportunity to try it out. read more

Horrible service from employees. Dirty rooms. While staying there for 2 nights I spoke with 3 employees at the front desk, each one extremely rude or not good at their job or both. Not trying to be mean, just being honest. First night my girlfriend and I check in and the lady who was working (I believe Brenda was her name) was rude and acted almost as if I wasn't there and started talking to other workers in the middle of our conversation over and over. Finally check in and everything's cool until the next day when I'm showering after enjoying the pool and I see something underneath my bathroom sink (Pics included). I immediately go to the lobby and the same worker from the night before and a younger lady were at the counter and I tell her what I found and that I'd like housekeeping to take care of it. Then Brenda comes over and starts asking me "why didn't you tell us last night when you checked in?" like she had just checkmated me. I explained that neither me (a man) nor my girlfriend have any use for feminine products at the moment and I just want it removed from our room. Brenda then says she cannot move us to a different room?? and I told her I'm not asking for any comps. The other front desk employee says she'll comp the resort fee for BOTH nights and Brenda turns around and walks away. Okay cool. Girlfriend and I go out for 2 hours and come back and check and it's still there underneath the sink. Go back to the lobby and they tell me maintenance couldn't find it... so they just left it. Maintenance guy comes back to my room and finally throws it away after showing him exactly where it was. Next morning we go to check out and there's a different worker with blonde hair as well as Brenda working the desk and they're even more impatient this time. Told them I'm gonna check out and I think they told me I needed to pay for something??even though my whole bill was ALREADY PAID FOR or at least that's how it sounded like to me and I told them about the resort fees comp and Brenda comes over and says "yeah just one night is comped" and I said "no it was for two nights". They start asking me why and what happened that they had to waive the fees and a bunch of other questions and finally they honor the two night comp (their idea to begin with, not mine) and say that I don't owe anything anymore and I'm good to go. Very confused about what they were gonna charge me. Basically, employees rude and rooms are dirty and nobody cares about anything because it's not their job, it's the next persons or maybe it's the paying customers fault. read more

Ugh! I really wanted to love this place because so much of it was great, but unfortunately we didn't sleep due to the AC unit. It was extremely loud all night long. We even tried turning off the fan part that made the noise but it kept blowing and making a constant loud noise. It honestly got to the point where I wanted to leave in the middle of the night. I called the front desk, but since it was so late there wasn't much they could do at that point. Not being able to sleep on vacation is really frustrating. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the location was great and close to everything. There was also a strange rotten egg smell at night, although it eventually either went away or we got used to it. I guess just turn on your AC unit to make sure it works properly or you will be up all night. read more

A solid choice for a Palm Springs stay. The location is great -- close to everything in downtown, but just a street away so it's quiet enough to relax and actually get good rest. The property is a little outdated and not the most stylish, but it's well maintained and offers nice amenities like a pool area, spa, rental bikes, and outdoor seating spaces. Easy access to the pool and parking. We were also close to the lobby. That evening we did end up ordering take out and having t dinner by the pool. I really wanted to get into the jacuzzi but there was a group of people with only their feet inside all the time the we were there. The crowd at the pool wasn't bad. This reminded me of a hotel that would be in Santa Cruz. Very beachy vibe with bougainvilleas everywhere. The maids were really nice. We got a great deal, locals discount which was $138, $200 was the going rate. Water pressure was good. The beds were firmer than I'm use to. read more

Perfect weekend getaway! We loved that it was pet-friendly and didn't feel overly crowded even during a busy weekend. The climate-controlled pool was the highlight--perfect temperature even as the desert air cooled down in the evening. Check in was easy. There always seemed to be friendly help at the front desk. There is parking around the corner or on the street. The pool area is beautiful. There is a hot tub and fire pits. There are beautiful pink flowers growing all along the patios. Great view of the mountain behind. Great location with many walkable shops. Starbucks coffee available in the morning in the lobby. Spa available. Nice rooms with plenty of lighting. Room service is every other day. However you can get any supplies from calling the front. When I arrived my soap was completely out and lotion almost out. I thought that was odd to not be replaced during turn over. There were Kenneth Cole amenities. The next day I was out of kleenex (I use a lot). The hot water took a minute to get hot. I just felt it would have been nice to have room service the next day instead of the day after when I was packing to come home and had to ask for all these replenishment. Good value and service. Checked into this hotel for a quick stay in Palm Springs. Parking is free, but it is quite limited. The good thing is that it is in a prime spot for walking to shops, bars, and restaurants, so you can park and not move your car and lose your space. Staff is helpful and friendly. The grounds are lovely. It is an older place, but that usually means large rooms. That is certainly the case with our room. There are electrical outlets on each nightstand, which I always look for. Not one, but two closets, two dressers, sofa, table and chairs, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was super comfy and the A/C works well. I do have a couple of issues, though. We paid extra for a pool view. We were on the third floor, which is a pool view from most rooms; however our view was the top of a roof (see photos). While we had a bigger balcony--it was really a large deck, our view stunk. Since we knew very little time would be spent in our room and it is a very busy holiday weekend, we decided to let it go rather than ask to be moved, but I was disappointed. It was definitely not what we paid for. Also, the TV is on the wall beside the bed, not in front of the bed. Not a huge deal for a shorter stay, but kind of weird and could get annoying if you're in the room for several days (unless you like to lie on your left side all the time). I always watch TV for at least a few minutes before going to sleep, so I would find it a pain. That said, it could just be our room, which was on the corner and huge, and just didn't seem to lend itself to the perfect set-up. I'm giving this hotel for stars because all in all, this is a nice resort hotel with a great location, but I feel maybe our room is just an odd one-off. They really should not market or give this room to guests as a pool-view room, and perhaps a new TV set up. read more

Wanted to update my review that I posted over one and half years ago. Our second stay at the property was much better than the first. Pros. 1. After the renovation the balcony wall separating each room is completely flush to the guard rails so people cannot walk up to your window/door from other rooms. 2. Furniture are clean, room spacious, decor (bit dated but functional. I like the small fridge to keep my water cold. 3. Great service. The team texted me before I arrive to see if I need anything and check up on me again during our stay via text. They also provided a small goody bag of sparkling water and snacks along with a welcome card. 4. Location. This property is in the middle of downtown Palm Springs and you will not need to walk more than 3 min to get food. Our entire stay, we had great meals all less than 5 min away. Con: 1. Our air conditioner was a bit loud. Lucky we are not light sleepers so it was doable 2. During our stay we they provided carts and we had to bring our own luggage to and from the room. I also saw other guests doing the same. It really wasn't a big deal for us but maybe for someone with mobility or health issue. Not sure if it was just the weekend we visited though. Overall: I feel like Palm Mountain really made an effort to improve upon our last stay and I want to commend the staff for it. The resort was well kept and the pool has big enough to accommodate large groups with plenty of seats. I would return need time I visit Palm. Spring. read more

We just returned from another three night vacation again and this stay was EXCEPTIONAL! This visit we stayed in a different location on the third floor, room 315, facing the mountains and the view was exactly what we requested when booking.... It was PERFECT! This property is beautifully maintained and all of the landscaping is absolutely gorgeous. (Love all the grapefruit trees!) The room we stayed in was very large and we loved our private balcony with views in every direction. We cant wait t return in December! read more

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance to most shops, restaurants, and the little casino. It's very retro and quaint and we loved the décor. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the remodel. We had a poolside room with a little patio area but the vines along the pool fence prevented a view of the pool. Parking is okay. There were 12 of us in 7 rooms in celebration of the marriage of my brother who had married in the courthouse earlier that day. Our only complaint was that most rooms had no hot water and we ended up taking cold showers. It was 4am when I took mine and it wasn't a pleasant way to start my day. Staff and management are very accommodating and will do everything within their power to make your stay an enjoyable one. The bed was VERY comfortable and once they fix the shower issue we will definitely stay again. I will say, through no fault of the hotel, a known biker "club" was having their annual gathering in Palm Springs that weekend and our hotel was full of their members. Palm Springs had close to 1000 members staying all over town. Although they were all very polite and friendly, they were there to party and have a good time and a few of us didn't get much sleep but management did compensate those that were affected but we did cut our weekend short because of it. read more

We booked the weekend here as we have stayed here several times. The rooms are dated but decent enough. It's located close to downtown Palm Springs shopping which is one of the main reasons we stay here. We checked in on Saturday and we were given a room all the way in the back of the hotel. The room smelled musky and just made it feel dirty. The room was dark and just creepy. There was hair in the sink and on the towels. The AC unit was so loud the whole thing rattled. We felt as if we were in a cheap motel. I called to ask if they had other rooms and she just said no we're booked. We decided on booking a different hotel since we didn't want to be stuck here all weekend. We told the front desk person about the room and how we had never been given a room like that at this place before she said oh well maybe you had a different room. I told her it's still the same hotel and the same price so that makes no sense at all. I didn't appreciate the oh well attitude. If you are going to stay here make sure you request a room inside or by the pool or you might get the smelly stinky room in the back at the same price.. We will not stay here again there are plenty of other options in Palm Springs. read more

Booked a three day getaway with my family for the 4th of July. Found this place on groupon and decided to give it a shot. There are a couple of issues that my wife and I noticed during our stay. First, The AC unit in our room turned off by itself in the middle of the day. Maintenance associate got to our room pretty fast and was able to get it back up and running. He (maintenance dude) advised me to keep the AC running on a lower temp with the ceiling fan on for about an hour. I did just that before heading out. However after coming back from our short trip we realize that the AC unit wasn't able to keep up with cooling the room all day leaving our room really warm. It was already past midnight when the AC finally started blowing cold air. I believe the AC unit itself is to blame because this place uses one of those PTAC units (in short, not a centralized unit). I stayed at hotels with centralized AC before and never experienced this kind of issue (yes, same hot weather) Needless to say, my wife and three year old had a couple of sleepless nights. Second, there was no COLD water the whole time I was there. Even my wife who likes her warm showers did not enjoy it at all (can you imagine? AC blowing warm air in your room all day + unable to take cold shower). The pool also isn't chilled like it says on the website (though this one can be a scratch off since you know? Water under 100 deg weather, you can do the math on that). Overall not a bad spot. Place is walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Casino is also just down the road (I would suggest not to walk there on a 122 degree weather ). Only reason why I gave this place a three star is because the front desk associates were friendly and the part where I mentioned that this place is walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. read more

If you're coming to Palm Springs and be walking distance from basics everything in the downtown area, look no further you've found your spot! They had a pretty easy and quick check in process, didn't really have much interaction with the staff. Room~ The bed was very uncomfortable. The shower; water pressure was basically nonexistent. This is definitely one of the more dated places I've stayed could use some remodeling/updating for sure. Pool~ I absolutely love that they have so many lounge chairs and you don't have to fight over them lol. I wish it was more of a "resort" style pool not sure why you would need a 9ft deep pool. Honestly, you can't beat the location! You're literally walking distance from all the best restaurants downtown Palm Springs has to offer. Good hotel for what it is. This is by no means a luxury hotel but the location is awesome, pool is nice, and views from the balcony are great. Rooms are dated. I believe they have a planned upgrade early 2025. Air conditioner in our room was super loud. Others in our party had the same issue in their room. Hopefully that gets addressed with the update. Service has been good, though housekeeping is only available for guests on the third day of their stay so keep that in mind. On the plus side, there's a complimentary airport shuttle available for guests. We called the hotel and let them know we landed, the shuttle arrived about 10 minutes later. read more

So I have to put a negative and a positive in this review cause we had a group of people stay here and while I had a great experience My friends did not. My friend had gotten there before us and reserved the upgrade room. When she got to her room it wasn't at all the upgrade and it was just the basic room. She asked for a refund for the upgrade and the hotel personnel said they would only refund the $19 resort fee. They then took her to another room which had crumbs all over the place and it wasn't cleaned at all. Especially with Covid now we are definitely worried about that. After she called and told someone to come look at the room the hotel personnel was very mean and said that they would not accommodate anymore room changes.... That is very rude in my opinion. But this is all hearsay from my friend. Us, on the other hand, had a great time with our stay. We had booked a two bedroom cause I had my sister coming with us. I had called the hotel earlier in the day asking for a roll bed and was told that it was totally do able but when I got to the hotel the receptionist told me that our room was too small and it was against violation. I informed her that I was told that it can be done.... She was very nice to me and gave us an upgrade to a deluxe suite. I was actually expecting the beds to be allot bigger but it was super small... more of a twin size versus two queens. I definitely love the location!! It's so close in walking distance to everything. We never had to drive anywhere for food. There is allot of different cuisines to pick out. We had a place for every meal! The property was very beautiful! We love the fire pit that they had. My boyfriend and I went to Palm Springs to celebrate his grandmas 80th birthday. His dad offered to get us a hotel room since they were staying in an RV with their family of 4. Most hotels were booked up for the weekend due to a tennis event. The event caused all the hotels in the area to jump in price but which was surprising to us since we didn't know this was happening. We picked this hotel which was very close to the downtown area which was convenient for us to get food when we arrived later in the evening. One thing that I liked was the free parking. That was nice considering the hotel was very expensive. Our hotel room was very nice with a king size bed, a tv that was sitting on a dresser, a small table with chairs, a closet, bathroom, and small couch next to the window. We didn't spend much time in the room considering we spent the majority of our time with his family. The bed was very soft and very comfortable for both of us to sleep on. Overall it was a lovey hotel and it was great getting to spend some time away with my love. Thanks again and we'll consider staying here again next time we're in the area. read more

Pretty disappointed in the service that my mom and I received here earlier today... we didn't have a reservation and we were aware that we may not be able to get a room but just wanted to check for availability. Apparently the power had gone out for a few hours prior to our arrival but when we arrived the hotel was air conditioned, we wouldn't have known had one of the ladies at the front desk told us this. Anyway, we waited in line behind a family at the front desk that had a reservation. Once the family was helped a younger woman with brown hair told us that we needed to wait because their system was down. We said it was no problem but my mom did ask how long she thought it would be. The lady said "we are working on it. Sit down and I'll let you know when I'm ready for you." In a rude tone. It was off putting. I'd understand the tone if we were impatient but we weren't in a hurry or even upset. Just curious how long we would be waiting... 5 minutes? 20 minutes? An hour? We just wanted an estimate. We decided to head out after that. I've worked several customer service jobs in my life I get that it's tough at times but the woman's behavior was uncalled for. We took our business down the street to the Hilton for the same price. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the older lady working the front desk that was kind and offered us water. Please don't comment back with a "we are so sorry for your experience" the younger brunette lady is losing you business, and wasn't sorry when she had a tone with my mom and I.
