Great little Spanish-style boutique hotel for adults only. I am a Dad as well, but sometimes it is nice to not hear kids running up and down the halls for the free brkfst at 6am. Central courtyard pool layout is great with only 25 rooms that all seem to be in great condition. 8 of us just stayed there for Modernism week this last weekend. Best part is that you can walk to all of the main attractions and leave your car parked for your stay. Definitely will book again! read more

Large room with living room, two bathrooms and kitchen area. Has its own patio over looking the pool. We loved walking to coffee every morning and the easy access to restaurants. The hotel is immaculate and staff is so friendly and there for anything you need. They offer a coffee bar, candy bar, breakfast box and small service bar at the pool. Worst booking experience I've had with a hotel due to how it was handled by the operations manager. We booked a two-night stay and were not trying to cancel, only to move our reservation by two days after a holiday because of a medical flare-up affecting one of our guests. The operations manager requested a doctor's note, which felt unusual for a hotel. After we provided it, she refused to allow a date change and was initially unwilling to issue a refund. This lack of flexibility and transparency was concerning. During multiple phone calls, the operations manager put me on hold repeatedly, and communication felt dismissive, especially when I asked her to repeat herself a couple times. After several attempts to resolve the issue, we were refunded less than half of what we paid. The photos online look beautiful, but the booking experience--specifically interactions with the operations manager--was very disappointing. Their operations manager needs to learn better customer service skills. I would not recommend this hotel and would suggest larger brands like Morongo or Marriott for a more professional guest experience. EDIT: The hotel's response states that I changed my story multiple times. That does not reflect what occurred. From the first call, I explained that we could not arrive on December 31 and requested to move the reservation by a couple of days due to a medical issue. This request remained consistent throughout all communications. During multiple phone calls, communication felt dismissive. I was placed on hold repeatedly, and at one point the call was ended without resolution. Ultimately, we received a refund of less than half of what we paid, which was better than nothing. While a credit toward a future stay was offered, I declined, as I have no desire to stay after how this situation was handled. I understand hotels have policies, but given the circumstances, the lack of flexibility, clarity, and professionalism was disappointing. I booked this place through my Chase reward points. I wanted to change the reservation but was not able to do so. When I got here, the hotel staff was very accommodating. This is our third time staying at the Andreas and it never disappoints. Charming, clean, quiet and comfortable. Further, each room has been slightly different with different amenities. The Mrs. and I spent two nights at the Andreas Hotel and Spa. We arrived around 1:30 on the afternoon of July 4th. Check-in is at 3 but we were lucky enough to be able to check-in early. Check-in was quick and easy. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. She escorted us to our room which was on the second floor. Room 213 has a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower and tub. The bed was a little hard to my liking but the bathroom was spacious. There is an electric fireplace and a tv mounted above it. The pool area is very nice. Although, being that it was 100 plus degrees outside the pool temperature was probably in the 80s which made it useless in the hot weather. Even in the evening it was too warm. I think the bool should be chilled down to about 72. The pool deck can also get very hot as does every outdoor surface of the hotel. Make sure you use footwear to walk to and from the pool. Your feet will burn. On the plus side, Frank Sinatra music and the like are pipped into the pool area. Towels and lemon water are available. Only clear plastic bottles and cups are allowed. And the staff does enforce the clear plastic rule. There is a small pool bar that is available from Friday through Sunday beginning around noon. Some food items are also offered. The Andreas Hotel and Spa is located in the perfect spot. Right in the middle of Downtown Palm Springs. Although, you forget you're close to downtown until you hear the occasional car horn or motorcycle. A private entrance/exit is available for hotel guest to access the downtown area. Across the street is a Starbucks and the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar. Less than half a block down from those two spots is the Palm Springs are Museum and the Forever Marilyn statute. This place is a boutique hotel and with that designation there are rules and lots of them. Which didn't bother me but I know it bothers others. The hotel is 21 and over. I'll be honest and say that based upon what I saw of the other guest there wasn't anyone under 40. So if you're looking for a hotel full of 20 and 30 somethings partying with a DJ pumping house music you won't find it at the Andreas. What you will get is a quiet and relaxed environment. Parking is available in front of the hotel off of Indian Canyon Drive. In the lobby guests are provided with coffee, candy, and treated to a free glass of champagne on arrival if they choose. All of the aforementioned perks are included in the resort fee. Wifi was really good. read more

This was the most unexpected surprise boutique hotel I've ever stayed in. The front desk is amazing, especially Krystal, and make the stay feel special and intimate. Right when you walk in, you walk past the lobby into a beautiful courtyard with a 24/7 pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are a bit small, but very cute and private. There are spots couples can hang out at on both the 1st and 2nd floors overlooking the pool and they're incredibly romantic. The front desk will light the fireplaces if you ask them. Pros: 24/7 jacuzzi. Adults only = no crying kids (hopefully). Very intimate setting. Extremely amazing hotel staff (speaking of Krystal specifically, but I'm sure the rest is great as well). Free glass of champagne upon check-in. Cons: Early check out due to limited number of rooms (think 11:30 when you request a late check out...and no...12 pm is too late). From the moment we walked in the front door and were greeted by Carl and Rick, to the moment we (sadly) checked out, Andrea's was the perfect spot for our Anniversary weekend. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We were escorted to our room where they had already gone in and turned on lights, a sound wave machine, and the fireplace. They called after ten minutes making sure everything was to our liking in our room. The room was gorgeous: Mediterranean-style charm with a Juliet balcony looking down over the Main Street and a European soaking tub. This hotel had so much charm and attention to details. My finance loves going to the Agua Caliente casino and he wanted to stay the night and not have to rush back. He found this super cute hotel and booked it. He didn't really pay attention to the set until I pointed it out. We both LOVE Spanish style architecture and immediately fell in love as soon as we walked in! It smelled so good, like holiday season, a mix of spice and coffee. So so good!! The guy who checked us in was super nice and attentive. He walked us to our room and gave us a tour of the hotel and pointed out the highlights. He was super friendly. We appreciate when people are nice and friendly. I found the Andreas years ago and since then it's become my favorite hideaway. A short drive from my home in Claremont, CA, I visit alone, have brought my friends, this past weekend I introduced my dad to the property during our drive from NM to pick up his new car in Palm Springs (the only dealership with the new EV he wanted). Some amenities are hit or miss, staffing post covid seems much different. Karl made my dads first visit perfect with his personable and professional approach, he took us both to our rooms and went through everything. The day shift barely greeted us. And, despite having 2 separate rooms we were told we had to share a breakfast bag. No big deal but it was his attitude and approach about it. I said to my dad, Karl will be back tonight! This was after paying for two rooms for two nights before we even got there due to a family emergency. We understand the policies but given we'd paid for 4 nights, 2 rooms...maybe say good morning or maybe give us each a breakfast bag lol geez. In hospitality we know it's the little things that matter. I am still a huge fan and will be back. The pool and hot tub are open 24/7, my dad was able to get in some laps at 5A while I was able to enjoy the pool at midnight. It's less quiet than before covid, I don't come here to party and they try to keep it quiet after 10p, clearly from all the policy forms I had to initial at check in, I don't remember that from previous stays but there was definitely a pool party vibe this trip! It's a great place for couples, spa weekends, around the corner from everything! Even the Tropicale is walkable. This was the first time I had to camp out on the cement by the pool because all the loungers were taken...all day ugh so we spent a lot less time at the pool but wake up early and stake out your spot. I've never had to do that here but it's looking like a change. Still highly recommend! A couple dedicated staff make it worthwhile and definitely enjoying the pool in the evenings or early mornings is a plus. It's an historic property and with 25 rooms, you can escape from reality for a while! read more

I stayed at the Andreas 8/8/23-8/10/23. I was excited for cocktails and room and pool service. AFTER I signed all the forms and was being escorted to my room, the desk manager casually mentioned that their would not be a bartender during my stay, but beer, wine, and champagne can be offered. I was shocked. When I got into the room (which had a slight order of some sort) I looked at a menu placed in the room. I confirmed with the desk manager that none of the cocktails listed were available. I then went on to request food from the menu (again-in the room) and was told at that time that no food was available. There weren't even snacks in the mini fridge! I checked both their and the Expedia website prior to booking the stay and there was NO MENTION OF THIS!!! I would have NEVER stayed there had I known these details. So at 4pm on the 8th-I set out in the heat to find a supermarket to get some food. I hadn't planned to eat out for all meals. I also contacted Expedia as I wanted to leave and go somewhere with food and a bar. I was told because I had already checked in, they couldn't change my booking. I was told Expedia would contact me the next morning, prior to check out time to offer a new place to stay for the second night. I was NEVER contacted and I had great difficulty getting back to the same department, so I just gave up. The next morning I received my BREAKFAST BAG. Are you serious. No hot food at all? Unless you count the toaster for the bagel. Again, I did expect a continental breakfast, but not a bagged breakfast fit for a school field trip! This fact was not listed on your website. Another reason I would have NEVER chosen to stay there!! The pool was nice. The robe I was given was torn. All other staff were very nice. The spa was wonderful! Upon check out I told the desk manager (not terribly nice by the way), that I didn't want to pay the resort fee because the Andreas was not a resort, it was just a hotel. She stated the resort fee covered the amenities like the lemon water, and the bag of breakfast. I said that those are the very minimal things offered by just a hotel-no resort features were offered. She became defensive and mentioned the apples, and the candy bar!! Are you kidding me?!?! The Candy Bar? At an "Adult Only" hotel? Adults don't want a candy bar on vacation!!! They want a REAL bar!!! The desk manager told me she didn't have the authority to remove the charges and no one who could, was available, so I requested the general manager's name and contact information. I emailed the manager several times. Her response was curt and dismissive. She didn't acknowledge any of my concerns. Don't stay here!!! I received spa services here . The hotel staff was really helpful in directing me to the spa . They let me enjoy a continental breakfast before my treatments. The prices at the spa are affordable and they always have specials. Ask for Lilly the manager. She is so sweet and attentive. I have come to this spa several times and will keep coming back . Absolutely beautiful boutique hotel! Don't think about it twice and go for it and book this place!! You will not be disappointed. If you have ever stayed at the Mission Inn in Riverside, this place is the smaller version of that. There is beautiful Spanish inspired architecture throughout the whole property. The pool is amazing and it's available to use 24/7 which in sweltering Palm Springs heat is a plus! There is also Frank Sinatra playing on the outside speakers in the pool area this definitely makes a very relaxing swim. They also have have a great bar in the pool area and Brian makes a great piña colada and guacamole. The rooms are very clean and bed is extremely comfortable. The huge shower is to die for and the giant jacuzzi bath tub was a dream!!!! Bring your bath salts and bubbles to enjoy. Now let's talk about the wonderful ladies at the front desk. Krystal was such a sweetheart!!! She was so friendly, helpful and is a little book of knowledgeable! She gave us a quick history lesson about the property which I throughly enjoyed because I am history geek!!! Merry was also super sweet and helpful. These two girls really care about their guests and go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. I am confident to say that I have found my little getaway in Palm Springs. My visit to the Andreas Hotel & Spa was an unexpected one but a pleasant one. After arriving at the quaint and tucked away hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was 21 and over only and no children are allowed making this adult only visit all the more pleasant. Upon arrival I was provided with a voucher for a beverage on the house (I chose champagne) and personally escorted to my room where I found a hand written Thank You note. The room had a small fridge in it. And there was lemon water complimentary inside the lobby as well as outside by the pool. I was advised the pool was open 24 hours which was another welcomed surprise. Although they didn't have a full breakfast spread the breakfast bag provided a bagel, cream cheese, fruit, a bottled beverage like orange or apple juice, yogurt, and a pastry. They even had a complimentary coffee bar and candy bar set up. The hotel was only accessible by room key which was added security I appreciated. While enjoying the refreshing pool I was serenaded by legendary artists such as Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra over the speaker. I think my only disappointment was the inability to bring snacks to the pool. You do have the option to purchase their snacks (bag of chips) which can be brought into the pool area. We came here for a one night stay for our anniversary and I was really excited to stay here. I did my research and it had good reviews so I thought what could go wrong? We got a travelzoo voucher which was great. It included a free bottle of champagne at check in. At check in the staff was friendly and nice, they upgraded our room to a king size bed so that was a plus. At check in they said they ran out of champagne but would give us a bottle of wine, I was ok with that since I don't really drink champagne and love a good cab. The room was beautiful and cozy. We were on the 2nd floor in the corner which was nice. Close to the upstairs fireplace. We went straight to the pool area and used our 2 complimentary glasses of champagne (thought there was no more bottles? ) then was told the bar was closing and that Douglas (worker) would only be there till 5pm and we could only order wine and beer with him. Kind of sucks since check in was at 3pm and we were not allowed early check in and the bar closed at 4. Douglas was nice and provided great service with the glasses of wine we ordered. Then around 6pm. It went silent, they had music playing at the pool area. That's when we were told the power had gone out. Not to worry, we figured well let's just head to dinner and hopefully it would come back on. We were nervous to see if other places would be out too but they said the power had come back on. So after dinner we came back to a dark hotel, so still no power. It's palms springs and even if it was cooler in the evening the room became very stuffy. Other guests had their doors open. We heard others going to the front complaining and asking for a refund. The power never did come back on until 11-12 midnight, kind of scared us cause everything was bright as we were falling asleep. Then around the middle of the night the power went out cause I was awaken by my sweat. Again no AC for hours again. Then somewhere early am it finally stayed on. Also the side entrance to downtown Palm springs is occupied by a homeless man. But he's very nice but doesn't really look good for the establishment. I really had high hopes for this place, not sure if I would come again. I was pretty disappointed since we didn't really get any comp or discount but heard the guests after us get a discount for the inconvenience. Oh well. read more

If you ask for any kind of refund, they will tell you that you should have looked at the governor of California's website before you decided to book. Very convenient for them: they don't have to lift a finger to change their website and make it more informative, and they get to keep their money. Otherwise, the rooms are nice and clean and everything. It's just not worth $280+ a night when half of the amenities that you came for are closed. If they're going to be charging that kind of money, they really should put a mention on their website that the amenities are closed. read more

I'd like to start out by saying I have been coming to this location for over 20 years prior to it being known as Andreas Hotel. I would also like to add I am aware of the check in time of 4 o'clock however, my wife and I arrive to celebrate our anniversary which we have done for several years at this location upon arriving we were told the room was not available to please wait for a phone call and they would notify us when it was ready. We decided to walk around the town yet still no Call decided to walk back to the hotel and see if the room is available the employee that was handling the front desk by the name of Crystal informed us to please take a seat in their waiting room while she looked into it while my wife and I sat there waiting who arrived well we witnessed three other couples check in and allowed to proceed onto their room all the while we were still waiting. Once the front desk clerk, Crystal was finished assisting other patrons. She approached me and said OK. I am ready to help you check in now. I informed her that the way this situation was handled with extremely unprofessional, and that that was no way to run a business. Apparently that upset her and did nothing to change her attitude towards me or my wife, as stated in the beginning, have been visiting this establishment for over 20 years and up until today I never had an issue, but I can assure you this I will not return after today this is not the way we plan on starting out our anniversary extremely disrespectful treated like we were not a priority and did not belong in their establishment. It's a shame because we absolutely loved this establishment. That being said we will no longer return nor will we suggest to friends and family to visit as well. As in most cases, Customer Service has gone down and customers are no longer treated with respect. read more
