Then I asked another staff who were blue shirt. He said he would not help anyone to carry buggies. Finally, there was a lady passing by and helped me to carry my sleeping son and buggy. Is a pretty cool station actually, has the tuck shop type thingy inside that will serve your chocolate, crisp, sweet energy drink and newspaper craving and is generally quite clean. The PIccadilly line is a pretty neat line to be on and gets you into the centre very quickly, if not a little sweaty as it gets packed at rush hour. Oh, and in the mornings this station has the biggest mound of Metro newspapers on offer you have ever seen. If that is not a top tip, I don't know what is. I love you bounds green station, you are my Chitty Bang Bang, my Love Bug, my daily mode of transport with your own quirky ups and downs.

Then again it is London, and the world just seems to be so much different compared to the outer reaches that happen to be Australia. The thing is that it is actually a suburb, and this station drops you in the heart of the main shopping strip in the suburb. The station is quite convenient, and yes, it really does feel like I'm in another world.

But it was all ok, because Turnpike Lane is just down the road, where they were lovely and helpful and mended my oyster card in 10 minutes. Has a taxi rank just in front of the barriers and during the day a little kiosk that's sells papers and sweets and also tops up you oyster card if there is a que for the machine as the ticket office is closed again. It is the 2nd station from the start of the Piccadilly line, so you normally get a seat at rush hour and a nice fresh paper. It also has a lift (step free access) and a direct service to Heathrow If you're the average londoner with a oyster card or contactless card your fine

During the strike this station was meant to be open which is why I routed myself here 11.30pm at…read morenight, only to find that would not allow people into the station to get on the trains going thru to edgware but they would allow passengers from edgware and Central London to get off at Golders Green! Had to get a bus to edgware which is a long route. All in all a very bad service today I'm afraid you might just as well not bothered opening if you are going to discriminate against edgware passengers or was it just sheer laziness?

On a match-day, this place can get really busy, with queuing basically all the way from the stadium at the moment, with the stadium and station not coping very well with large crowds. The station is step-free on the Victoria line which is pretty handy, with other stations including Green Park, Euston, Victoria and Oxford Circus also being on that line, meaning you can basically get one tube from here, from most parts of central London. The buses outside the station weren't set out very well, I struggled to find one to get to the stadium and even the station staff has no idea to go, with this being one of the stations Tottenham Hotspur promote to use and even Transport for London, it's ridiculous the staff were running around like headless chickens, unhelpful and unapologetic. The station seemed clean enough, but it seemed a little scruffy around where they were doing some construction work. The Underground trains are inside the station, and the Overground are separate ticket gates outside which was rather maverick. There were no shops outside the station, but there was a retail park across the way however there wasn't really anything one could get from the retail park easily to take with you on a journey such as drinks and snacks, unless you prefer to eat at one of the fast food outlets including KFC and Subway before-hand. Poorly set out station, with many flaws including its' staffs and how it handles any form of crowds. 1*

My oyster card got…read morewiped the other day (with a months travel card on, a week before pay day so I was flat broke) and I was at Wood Green, where I was told that not only was there nothing she could do about it, but I would have to fill out 20 forms of information I don't have and then send it off and wait at least a week before I could travel. So I shouted a bit, and then walked to Turnpike Lane, where a lovely man checked my details, and replaced the travel card (And the 20p pay as you go) and it all took 10 minutes.
