I'm a little disappointed by today's visit. I booked my 45k mile service appointment, thinking I'd have my oil changed, fluids topped off, tires rotated-- all that jazz. My appointment was for 9:15, but I arrived at 9:10. They took my car and told me service advisor was David. I said I was waiting for my car because I was starting my trip back to Colorado today. TWO HOURS LATER-- at 11:10-- my car is ready. However, I found out that for this appointment, all they did was rotate the tires. Why in the world did it take 2 hours to do this?? Part of me is annoyed that my oil wasn't changed anyway, knowing I am driving halfway across the country and this is what I had asked for when I booked the appointment over a week ago, but even though they didn't change the oil, it should not have taken 2 hours to swap some tires around. read more

I made an appointment to come in last week before a trip out of town. I had a maintenance that was due within a few hundred miles so I wanted to do it a little early. I arrived 10 mins before my appointment, waited for 15 mins till a gentleman told me a service advisor will be with me and to pull up further in the service lane. I waited for another 20 mins in the car, no one came out so I went in to see if someone could assist. A service advisor said they're running behind since they're shorthanded, apologized for the wait and someone would be with me shortly. So I waited for another 20 mins, no one came out then I decided to leave. Worse experience I've had at any dealership. Drove 3 hours for a 2003 4Runner listed at $5,995 after being told it was ready. When I got there, they suddenly claimed "safety issues," wouldn't let me take it, and tried to raise the price to $8,995 + ~$1,000 dealer fee. After arguing, they agreed to the original price and said they'd fix everything. A week later, I drove another 3 hours to pick it up. They said it was fixed, but my mechanic confirmed only the hood latch was replaced. Bearings and shocks were NOT done, and the check engine light came on shortly after. I understand it's an older car, but dishonesty is unacceptable. Misleading pricing, wasted time, and poor communication. No excuse. read more

****Toyota West Mobile BLOCKED me & Clint Duncan Mallory Duncan Michael Sikes and Maddie Daigle on Facebook because of this post( just shows how unprofessional they are) and for giving them a bad review on their FB page...but we appreciate all your shares because what they have done to our daughter and others is not right and is not how a company should do business!!! *My daughter & son-in-law purchased a vehicle from Toyota West Mobile in Nov. 2025, it was a used 2023 Nissan. They were newly weds and this was their first big purchase as a family. Two weeks after they purchased the vehicle, the service light came on and the vehicle began having issues. It ended up at Toyota in the shop. Toyota had it for about a day and told them the issue was fixed. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case because two weeks later the service light came back on and the problems got worse. The vehicle went back to Toyota and Toyota had it pretty much for the whole month of December. Toyota never called to keep my daughter and her husband informed. They had to keep calling Toyota weekly trying to get information about the status of their recently purchased vehicle and left message after message to which no one ever called them back. They were finally able to get in touch with someone other than the receptionist at Toyota and was told their vehicle was taken to Nissan because Toyota couldn't fix it. My daughter & her husband finally got their vehicle back at the end of December and they were told the vehicle was once again fixed. They asked Toyota what was wrong with it and wanted to see the paperwork on what all was done to the vehicle, Toyota gave my daughter and son-in-law the runaround and told them that they didn't have any paperwork about the vehicle, but they told them the issue was fixed and so they drove off thinking that the issue was resolved! However, that absolutely was not the case, because 4 weeks later the service light was back on and it started having issues again but this time they were not able to take it back up to Toyota because the vehicle broke down on the side of the road and it had to be towed. They decided to take it directly to Nissan this time! Tameron Nissan has been amazing and has kept my daughter and her husband updated and informed on what was happening and what was wrong with it. Unfortunately, their vehicle that they purchased at Toyota with only 74,000 miles on it needed a whole new engine. The cost was going to be over $9,000. My daughter called up to Toyota again wanting paperwork on their vehicle and to this day Toyota has not given them that paperwork!! However, Tameron Nissan has been absolutely amazing and has helped in every way possible even financially! Tameron Nissan's service department and team has been amazing so I would absolutely recommend them for all your vehicle purchases and needs but I highly DO NOT recommend Toyota West Mobile at all!!! read more

After having major issues with my struts, I had them replaced under warranty at Palmer's. The repair was not done properly & I've experienced multiple issues as a result. Mr. Hoppins was pleasant. However, car issues were mis-diagnosed which resulted in of pocket cost over $3k. Car wasn't ready when we were told it would be. What was suppose to take 1-2 days tops to repair didn't happen. Received a call on day 3 repairs was complete. Car stopped less than a half mile from dealership. Car was towed back to Palmer. Took several phones calls and a visit to get repairs complete after a week. Still waiting to hear from Mr. Hoppins after he talked to Frank about cost adjustments from misdiagnosing. read more

Diana Register is our salesperson and she has done a wonderful job helping us with getting the vehicles we needed and wanted. Corey is our service department rep and always makes sure our vehicles are taken care of and that we understand the work that's been done and advises us on anything we need to follow up with in future. Chris Wilson oversees the detail department and has always had over vehicles look new when we have them cleaned. Bad experience. I purchased a 2015 Toyota Corolla from here a while back and when I got it, the radio touch screen did not work amongst other issues. It was the main reason I went to a dealership because I thought they were held to a standard of honesty when it came to the vehicles issues so I ignorantly believed it was functioning fine before realizing the screen had dead spots in it and the floors were scuffed up under the mat. Needless to say I got a pretty bad dead anyways but was too inexperienced to tell at the time (which is what they prey on I feel like). I won't be buying from palmers again. Lesson learned read more

I recently bought a Rav4 XSE at Eastern Shore Toyota where I was super satisfied with the service and how well they were able to negotiate the price. The manger said "We don't lose sells based on price". I hundred percent agree with his statement in which we left with a great deal and a Rav4 XSE. Would definitely recommend buying from them. Now, for Palmer Toyota Superstore we went in to buy one for my parents. We did have a fine experience with the salesman but we couldn't make a deal on the same Rav4 XSE on there lot which was fine they couldn't match Eastern Shore Toyota's deal so we decided we did not need that car since they could not match. We left the dealership and then another manager called us back said "We would love what he has for us" so, we turned around and went back and to my surprise he had not changed anything to the deal and made me sit there and listen to him tell me how its a good deal at there price. I told him I couldn't buy it at the price which we are only talking about an $800.00 difference for me to buy the car that day. Imagine - days after Christmas and your wife wants to test drive a new Toyota to see if she'd like to get one for the new year. So you call the Sales Manager Chad and ask to make sure your model is on the lot to drive up and see. Explain she wants to test drive and it's a 40 minute drive to get there, so wanted to make sure they're available. Yep! Got a few on the lot. Thanks CHAD! Call a babysitter to watch the kids for a few hours (just in case we decide to go ahead and buy if she really likes it!). Tell CHAD I'll call him when we're 20 minutes out to get the car ready (COVID - trying to minimize contacts). Call CHAD 20 minutes out to let him know we're almost there. Pull up in the parking lot and get a call from "John" (a salesman) to let us know that the car we wanted to test drive was actually sold last night... Call CHAD back to complain (I'm pretty pissed at this point) and he wants to argue with me and tell me that at least he had the "COURTESY" to call me and let me know. While I'm already sitting in his parking lot. After a 40 minute drive. After getting a babysitter. He had the "COURTESY" to call me and let me know (actually, he made poor John call - if you read this, sorry for cussing at you John, it ain't your fault). I get people make mistakes sometimes. When you do, contriteness and courtesy are generally in order - not petulance and defensiveness. If this is indicative of the level of service and professionalism from this dealership then take a hard pass. There's others in town that deserve your business more. read more

Return for the 1st time to get it corrected left it there for a week while on vacation so they could fix their incompetent work. Came back to pick it up and gaps still present. Was told that was the tightest they could get it and then Brian claimed how would they know that it did not look like that before they got the car. Really? I guess the 3rd time was the charm because when we picked it up the 3rd time everything was done correctly. Poor customer relationship, service, and craftsmanship. Unfortunately, my husband has been having a terrible experience with this business. He has paid for a used truck; however, after almost 2 weeks he still doesn't have the truck. He was given a loaner vehicle after being told that the brakes and other minor repairs needed to happen on his truck. He was also was told that the repairs were going to be done over the weekend, and that the truck would be ready that following Monday. After a week of not having any type of updates, of course he's questioning why he hasn't received his vehicle that he's paid for. Turns out there was a recall on the vehicle, which he was not made aware of by the business. He spoke with Paul Brewer to discuss other options but he received a rude unprofessional response from him. Took my rav4 there for a minor body issue(door handle) . Was told to bring it back on a certain day, 39-40$ repair, no problem. Get it back there when they said, discovered that it had more issues, had to order part, now over $500, for a door handle. Called multiple times over the next 2 weeks to see when part would be in, no return call. Finally got tired of waiting for return call/follow up, went to another shop. Easy fix, no parts, no charge. Needless to say Palmer Toyota will not be getting my business on any level, nor will I recommend them to my friends and family. read more

When you go down there they trick you into doing a credit check which will impact your credit score in a negative way then they tell you that you didnt win anything. Sales experience was very good. Salesman (Dan) was great. Service, however, sucks. I wanted to have my periodic service done here so all my records would be in the same place. I simply don't have hours to wait on a simple oil change after making an appointment. Won't be back unless it's an emergency. Update: I lied because I decided to give them one more try on my next oil change. Made the earliest appointment they had available (9:00am). They told me it would be ready in 1-1 1/2 hours. I arrived at 8:55 and sat down and waited. After almost 2 hours I went and inquired about my car. HAD NOT EVEN STARTED ON IT. I got my keys and left, vowing to never darken their doors again. Being from gulf shores and they are in mobile they had all our paperwork ready for us when we got there and stayed open late for us. I inquired about said service, instead of Dave answering with a answer of a yes or a no, or any relevant answer on the subject he deflected the question to a different service. So I once again asked Dave does the company provide the service which I'm 100 percent certain the company does, but repetitive unprofessionalism shown by Dave made me feel as if the company is incompetent to handle simple matters when dealing with their own car brands. When being on the call with Dave instead of being reassured that my car would be in great hands, all I was presented with was wasted time, told I would have to get other services that would not benefit me what so ever just to accumulate a large bill, and deceitful answers ( with my first question had never been addressed). I found the oil cap left off my 2021- 1794 tundra there was oil blown all under my hood, luckily for them there was no serious damage. This is not the first time we have gotten shoddy service. We have had missing and loose lug nuts before, and my husband had the starter changed on his 2011 tundra and there was a heat shield left off and bolts missing. We will be taking our business else where from this point forward. For what we pay for service we should not have to worry and stress about it being done correctly. I went to a bigger dealership instead of a small one because I thought I would get fair and honest treatment. The salesman was really nice, but he told me the car was a 4 wheel drive and it wasn't. My bad. I should have checked. But the finance guy told me if I bought the service package it would pay for all regular service and maintenance and I could go to any dealership. I just received my coupons and they say Palmer's only. And all they really cover are 5 oil changes, some tire rotations and inspections. And the car I bought was used and they only gave me 1 key. The keys are really expensive and I have to buy the spare myself. If it were just 1 of these things I would not complain. I gave them 3 stars because I do love my car and it was a decent price. read more
