A great experience ! I purchased a Bolt Lithium Ion kit from Palmetto Battery Pros after speaking with Tony about what he thought was best for upgrading my Icon golf cart from the nasty old lead acid system. Tony took his time explaining the product, the nuances of installation and performance. I installed the kit myself and absolutely love the upgraded performance ! Awesome people. Free battery install on most cars. Used battery for $49 with a 6 mouth warranty

First I believe these people to be great people but this review is on their ability to repair a Ford hybrid. I had a 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid TOWED to their shop because of a referral. It stayed in there long enough to replace a 12V Inverter at their request. Next they suggested the Hybrid Battery be replaced at which time Adam guaranteed it would fix it. I also paid the Trident Tech Teacher to come in to also diagnose it to the tune of $160 which he also said it needed a new battery. At this point I was told it needed a transmission. Each case I purchased the items and in retrospect I believe it was because they were sure of their diagnosis.. I was then told that there was someone else that could change the transmission for $1400, but they couldn't. This after spending $3725 and being told I would have to have it TOWED away. I had it towed back to my house where I fixed the problem myself. At 74 I didn't really want to do this. During this same period a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid was there that they said needed $4000 to replace the battery. That vehicle was towed away also to Jones Ford where it was repaired for $400 labor and parts. Having been in the business for 30 years I NEVER believed a customer should pay a mechanic to go to school, especially at $110 hour. I expect that any schooling needed to be done on their time at their expense. Adam did cut his final labor bill in half after I complained. The part that I fixed my car with was a $200 part and should have had including diagnostic labor been no more than $300 to the shop. read more
