The slogan says...Come once and you'll come again! I will definitely go again to palmetto seafood market. I was visiting friends in the area when we decided on seafood instead of burgers. Im glad we stopped in for a to go order. I had a delicious pick two with nice light breaded tilapia and shrimp, well seasoned and even better once i added hotsauce. Though it didnt need any tarter or hotsauce, its just something i love to shake on. There is plenty of seafood to choose from here even gator. Im just a crab, fish, lobster, shrimp type of girl so i stop there when it comes to seafood. If your planning a crab boil make sure to stop in here cause there is plenty and its fresh.

I have been here twice and each time the food has been excellent. The seafood is fresh and is cooked when you order it. They put the perfect amount of seasoning on the fish and it tastes incredible. You get a lot of food for your money. Both times I've been here they have thrown at least 1 extra piece of fish into my order, without me asking, because one of the pieces was kind of small. Their words not mine. I would have been fine with the number I ordered so they definitely aim to please. They are conveniently located close to my job so I will be stopping in at least once a week to grab dinner on my way home. I have to say I stopped by earlier in the week and they weren't open, so I suggest calling to make sure they are open before you go there.

Palmetto, has been around for decades... Whether you're having them cook the seafood for you, or you're taking it home to cook it yourself, the seafood is always fresh, not been disappointed..They have a large variety of seafood, from Crocker, Sea Bass, Shrimp large and small, Mullet the list goes on... But come to Palmetto in the middle of the week, it is very crowded on Friday's!!!

I found this place by mistake about two months ago and been going every since . I had fried GatorBites for the first time and that was interesting, lol. They are very chewy and I love chewy foods. Very good place for takeout seafood and more

Whiting & Perch with french fries and oysters. Breading was perfect and food was extremely delicious! *Add Texas Pete!

We pick up a seafood platter here every week and it's enough tp share. Ms. Addie is the best and runs a tight ship. (No indoor dining)

The oysters tasted like they were fried in either oil that was old or reused several times. My meal left me with a stomach ache.

It was my wife's birthday. Her family was in town. She wanted to do an oyster roast. They were not…read morein season, but this very well-known fish market in town had them, my mom had called. But my mom and dad warned me, this fish market was run by a VERY eccentric, very ancient woman who would often kick people out just for the slightest misunderstanding. My father-in-law goes with me and we're like 'Okay, just go in, pay for the oysters, get them, get out'. Easy. There are about two dozen buzzards in the parking lot and on her car, just chilling. She called them her babies. The woman is easily 800 years old. The building itself looks like I've been transported to a grungy building in the 80s. The lady greets us with a smile, and that smile fades immediately at my father-in-law. Growling, she tells him; "You take off." and points to his sunglasses. So, he reaches up and takes them off. She smiles again and says, "Now I am safe." She goes on and on about how turtles are smarter than people and she goes down to the pond near her house to talk to them. She apparently has written a few books about them. Then she takes my card. Asks to see my license to confirm the name. Okay, sure. 'James Smith'. She starts calling me Captain James. My father-in-law texts me despite standing right next to me; "Are we being punk'd???" She keeps talking for 25 minutes and does not bring us the oysters. Eventually she asks what I do for a living. I tell her I'm a youth pastor. She says "Ah, I knew you were a man of influence. You remind me of Jim Jones. You know Jim Jones? Good man, good-looking too. Very influential. You are good looking too." She finally waves for us to follow her into the back. Jim Jones. As in the cult leader, Jim Jones. As in Jonestown, the murderer and awful human being who killed an entire town of people, Jim Jones. This was not the compliment she thought it was. My father-and-law and I look at each other, horrified and stunned. This didn't feel real. She leads us into the freezer in the back. There were wet tables and unattended knives everywhere. It looks like it has not been cleaned nor repaired in decades. She tells me to go in and grab the box of oysters. My father-in-law stays outside because he is legitimately afraid that she was going to lock us in. We grab the box of oysters. She continues to talk. Tells me to keep changing lives, just like Jim Jones. We leave. My father-in-law and I do not say a word for about 5 miles, until he just says, "Holy shit." Now the place is closed and I'm very confident it is haunted.

Wish I could give zero stars. I setup for oysters a week ago for pick up today. I was willing to…read morepick up early. Was told, "No, come Sunday at 1pm. Will have them for you." Called before going, told "sorry, sold out, even though I said I would have them for you." BAD BUSINESS.
