I have been shopping with this company for over 14 years. Primarily online but I have been in a few of their stores. I have seen them grow to be a huge chain. I remember when it was just a small store in Columbia. I have been shopping online with them since their prices have always been excellent, particular when they have a sale. I've gotten AR-15s, stripped lowers, barrels, ammunition, magazines from them. I walked into this "Greenville" store and was nothing short of impressed. I was like a kid in a candy store. They have single boxes of ammunition and bulk ammunition with great prices. Their selection of firearms are wide open. Revolvers of various lengths, calibers and brands, I was just salivating (I have 31 revolvers, myself, already). Their hunting rifles, semiautomatic AR pistols, and semiautomatic rifles were in full stock. You're only limited by money. I can't purchase anything in house regarding pistols or handguns since I'm from out of state so I'd have to get it shipped to an FFL. They have a nicely organized, clean and expansive store. I grabbed 28 boxes of 5.7x28mm ammunition since they were much cheaper than I can get online, particularly with shipping. All of the staff I met were courteous and helpful, and I didn't get the negative vibe I have seen in reviews preceding mine. Maybe because I'm a physician I know how to interact with a majority of people I come across. I don't know but everyone I met was nothing short of friendly. Parking lot is huge, clean and safe. Poor customer service on replacement parts that were defective/poor quality. Barrel nut gave out on a simple reassembled after port door installation. Palmetto State has not shipped me a barrel nut for a upper reciever handguard. Customer service tries to "sound nice" but are not helpful at all. Very disappointed. A simple barrel nut replacement is all I requested and need. I even offered to purchase a barrel nut (they do not sell them) but this has been a nightmare. This was final purchase from Palmetto State Armory. I have been buying from them for several years and enjoyed all my purchases. They have been functional and reasonably priced. I live in a shit bag blue city and state and the libtards have recently voted in a crazy magazine capacity ban. As such, weapons are capped at fifteen rounds. I ordered a Ruger 5.7 that is normally a 20+1 magazine capacity. I understood they would not send the 20 round magazines into Colorado as they violate the law. But PSA got cheap and simply didn't send any magazines at all. If they are going to charge me for two 20 round magazines, the last they can do is send me 10 or 15 round magazines instead. I'm being screwed over by Colorado already, no reason PSA should profit from it. Sending me a firearm with no magazines is cheap and the last straw with PSA. Alright. I have purchased a few guns over the years from various brands, such as Sig Saurer, FN and Springfield. They all have their pros and cons. Palmetto State Armory (PSA) has provided (meaning I purchased) me with quality, reliable product that is their own brand and other brands (equipment like Vortex and Holosun). PSA firearms have not failed me in the past four years, no malfunctions, no breaks, no guns that spontaneously fire on their own, etc. Each time I made a purchase, I spent months researching and comparing the gun (or upper) I was looking to buy, asked questions of staff, who were pretty damn helpful. I agonize over large $$ purchases and want to get it right each time. PSA has not failed me. Their AR-15 has been perfect for my use, it has been suitable and reliable that I have purchased different uppers (.300 and a fancy match grade upper with adjustable gas block, etc), to enhance my experience. I am 100% satisfied, more so than other brands, such as Davidson Defense upper from Delta Team Tactical. The upper consistently had failure to feed and eject. All attempts to return it and repair it were met with no success. It now sits in a bag. Sig Sauer for instance is no longer a brand I trust due to issues with customer service and a certain pistol...which I sold off to avoid misfires. Ive only kept my P365 until I can find a better pistol to fit my needs. FN provided me with my dream gun, the PS90, which ended up being more hype than quality (major gas in my face issues). Springfield Kuna was disappointing and traded off. The prices are great. Customer Service has been more than helpful, when I messed up an order, they fixed it for me. Website is really easy to navigate unlike a few others that don't know how to properly format a webpage for ease of viewing. Though I wish they would regulate the obvious fake reviewers. Their ammo (AAC) is perfect, better than Winchester and Brazer imo. I might not make every gun I purchase in the future from PSA but it will be difficult to find a company that doesn't have exactly what I want or something very similar. Oh, the Jakl line of guns? I am seriously impressed, especially with the Jakl-9! Wish they'd make a Jakl-5.7 instead of the upcoming X-5.7 lol. For those looking at PSA and may have encountered PSA hate reviews. I can tell you, they are likely isolated incidents and most people hating on the company cannot provide any proof of anything wrong and are instead just followers of the echo chamber. Seriously, the PSA haters are a weird bunch...if they had proof, that would be one thing. Like I understand Sig hating, but PSA hasn't done anything tangible to warrant it. I bought an AKV- 9 and have had nothing but issue after issue not only with the firearm but with the company itself and its representatives. After the very first time shooting, the guns firing pin got jammed and had to send back to manufacture for repair. Got it back and it was NOT fixed. Going back and forth with customer service. I'll preface this review by saying I am not a PSA fan at all. The two stores I visited before this one, Denver NC and Myrtle Beach SC the customer service sucked big time! This one was right next to the hotel we were staying at and I needed to kill some time before we went out to dinner that night, so I walked over. The customer service here was a little better with the exception of the gun counter. A girl stocking the ammo shelves actually walked with me and showed me where the .45 acp range ammo they had on sale was and when I checked out, the cashier actually spoke to me and thanked for my purchase, something that has never happened to me at a PSA before. They also priced matched the online price instead of charging me the higher in store price unlike the other two PSA's I have visited. But no matter which PSA you visit the guys behind the gun counter are all the same. You're lucky if they acknowledge your presence and offer you any help and if they do you get a cocky AF attitude like they are the know all, end all when it comes to guns. Judging by the age of the guy that gave me attitude here, I've been around guns, buying and owning guns and shooting guns longer than he's has been alive, so don't come at me with you cocky AF attitude and acting all superior like this is my first rodeo, cause it sure as Hell isn't not by a long damn shot! This PSA was only marginally better than the other two I have visited but nowhere near good enough for a return visit if I were in the area again. read more

Shipment was lost, so they wanted me to reorder at a higher cost and then pay for shipping protection again. Long time supporter of psa for over 10 years coming to say im dissapointed. Ordered an upper that came blemished so i reached out 5 times through the contact me page with no avail. They claim they had no records of it. I support them anyway. Ordered a bcg months later for it not to get delivered, attempt to make claims again at least 3 times. Subsequently had to make a Chase claim and was locked out of my account. Finally able to get someone on the phone with no empathy or understanding of what i was trying to explain. Attempted to make amends with somee type of solution and was told id be contacted back. Nada. Made another call today and was told, in a nutshell that, im SOL and that my account wasnt getting unlocked. No solution.......... Credit card charged, fifteen days later, it still hasn't been processed. Had to cancel because they don't fulfill their orders. I had 5 unhelpful contacts with their Customer Service over those two weeks, where they either lied or were just lame. Either way, I would avoid this company. Over the years I have spent more than $3,000 with PSA. I purchased a Taurus TX22 handgun with the features of the Product comes with 2 magazines, one 22 round mag and one 15 round mag. After ordering a gun online for in store pickup at the Greenville branch of Palmetto State Armory, they took the money out of my account and then failed to notify me the gun had arrived in the Greenville store. After 18 days I went to the store and the clerk was rude and unhelpful so I cancelled the order. Now they are dragging their feet in returning the over $1000 to my account. The store manager will not call back and the 800 call center is worthless. They refused to connect to me either store. They promise to have a supervisor call me back and all I got was an email. How can they take the money for a sale that may or may not be legal? They did not do a back ground check online and so they had no idea if I was even old enough to purchase the gun. The honest way to do business is to take payment at the time the gun is legally delivered to the buyer. read more

Scumbags. Shop elsewhere. Wanted to check the price of shipping a gun, so went to add it to cart, and accidentally hit 'buy it now' and bam, it was purchased with no verifying. I called 10min later when they opened, and cancelled it, all should be good right? NOPE. The day ends, and I get an email stating my order has shipped .... WHAT THE!?! Then I remembered the email they sent CONFIRMING MY CANCELLATION stating that their drop shipper may still send the item. WTF? Not good enough! (that's how they keep prices low, they don't stock much, just a middle man that takes payments and sends orders to the makers/shippers..... when they have you believe they are some sort of huge manufacturer. I bet they don't even make there, just have their name stamped on 2nd rate products) I received that email that the gun shipped, about an hour after they closed. I do not believe that was a coincidence, as they will only get paid from the actual shipper ..... after the product ships. Well, now they will be getting a chargeback, because this is crooked. PSA about PSA. If you order something like this red dot for instance and it doesn't work, then send it back. You MAY get a refund. I did not, I sent it back with tracking and showed that it had been received. They said they refunded me, never got it. Gave it a few more weeks, contacted again, said that I had received it and I showed them statements from my bank that I had nothing. They said it was a bank issue, contacted my bank, turns out that I had not gotten the refund. I waited a few more weeks just to see if I would get a refund but after 2.5 months of not having my money, I contacted my bank again and they proceeded to do a chargeback, well according to PsA if you do that they permanently ban you. So they think they can steal your money but get fucked if you do anything about it. read more

I wish I could leave zero Stars. This will be the last time that I ever deal with palmetto State armory. I called them several days ago within a few minutes of placing my online order to confirm that they had everything I needed in stock and would ship it in one shipment. My order was for one box of 22 stangers and a thousand rounds of CCI standard velocity 22. I was told they had it and would ship everything in one container. What they did was ship me the one box of stangers and then refund me $108. They soaked me for $15 shipping fee for one box of stangers. Now they're telling me that they don't have the CCI standard velocity. Basically they charged me twice the price for one box of 22 stangers. They lied to me about having everything in stock and then turn around and soak me for an outrageous shipping price for one little box of 22s. I could not be happier. I ordered a shot gun on-line and it came into the Greenville SC location in only 3 days (expect 7 to 10 business days is what their website states). I picked it up the next morning & even though there were two people in front of me, I only waited a couple of minutes. I got a good quality gun and a great price. Went here on august 6th around 1:30pm looking for a gun and was asking the old dude with glasses behind the counter if I could see a rifle. After He handed me the first rifle and handed it back he just started to ignore me and act like he was organizing the rifles. I asked for a second one he gave it to me I check it out handed it back and then he started to ignore me again I was standing at the glass counter for a couple minutes thinking why is he ignoring me I'm trying to purchase a rifle. So when I asked to see a third rifle I asked him if he was working to much and if I was asking him to do to much because the store was basically empty and he want doing anything. I'm 100% sure he was just lazy and wanted me to leave. I've bought 3 PSA rifles and 3 daggers online. And wanted to check out the JAKL in person. But the service in store at Greenville was horrible.
