The Hangar is the spot of the former Boeing-McDonnell Douglas airport assembly plant and I found it so cool, that Long Beach Exchange maintained the aerospace vibes. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with vintage style airport arrival/departure boards displaying the names of the vendors. I also loved checking out the different food vendors here. I got to check out the new Paranas Empanadas inside the Hangar as well as the new Mixed Burgers and Bowls outside. I also found it fun to see a Popmart Robo Shop as well as the new Vibe of the Moment Studios. I can't believe it has taken me this long to check out Long Beach Exchange! This spot is so fun and I hope to be back again in the future!

The Nordstrom jewelry salespeople do a great job of continuing to chat in a large group as customers shop. The handbag associate on the other hand was excellent and helpful. I also was surprised to see Aeropostale and Cotton On. I thought the former had gone out of business. My only complaint is the food court. Why is it tucked away in a corner down a separate wing? And I wish the crepe place also made savory ones.

If you feel like dining in, they have restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory located on the outside. This location also has a movie theater attached to it. The value of anything sold here really depends on where you choose to shop. There are stores that can be costly and some more affordable. They have an Apple and Samsung store located inside as well. The service is great. They keep this location well maintained. My only complaint is I wish they had more directories inside to navigate the mall because the layout is a bit confusing.

It was one of the nice malls growing up that was nearby. Now, it's somewhat similar from what I remembered. Give or take some of the major departments stores are gone and replaced by a major chain store. You still have all the little mom and pop shops. Then the classic retailers. Loads of stores that I loved growing up have vanished. Either out of business or relocated. Department stores like Macys and JC Pennys are still there but nothing major. I don't even know what the food court is like as we didn't even venture that far. I had to return something and they had a store here. A smaller store but still. Plenty of parking as the space is massive. Mall is decent size but nothing crazy big. It's the neighborhood mall that I feel like it'll be there for many more years to come.

I went here during a Friday evening parking lot pop up event and I have been here in the past prior to COVID and got the same eugh vibes. I'm not sure how a mall that has a Target, Book Off, and Round 1 was able to incite these negative ASMR feelings. At the very least there's still a food court and a good number of shops, but it does look old. Parking lot was absolutely fisted, probably due to the event and potentially because there might not be that much to do in that area or in terms of shopping opportunities. AC was not that great throughout the mall. Like for a couple shops we could feel it blast through, other ones felt like you were in the sauna. The main mall area connecting all of the shops just felt like a murky, muggy hotter than room temperature feeling. I wanted to get out ASAP. Also knowing Yelp's ToS, this review would get removed if I was 100% frank with the clientele that frequent this mall, but it says a lot if a subpar mall was able to be forced into existence from the community. Had a dude tell us to "get TF out of the way" and call us blind (thinking we cannot speak English AND being extremely ableist). You could have simply used your manners and said "excuse me", but that's beyond some. Some of the grossest restrooms I've been to too. The DJ will be there every Sunday till Labor Day. You are only paying for parking so it's a great outing and totally worth the price to park. On July 3, while riding through the property, an employee who was power washing the common areas sprayed me, my bicycle, and several other cyclists because, apparently, we were in his way. The behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I immediately reported the incident to management. More than 10 days have passed, and I have yet to receive a response. That level of customer service is just as disappointing as the incident itself. This issue isn't going away. I'm going to continue pursuing it because I don't want anyone else to experience what happened to us. Beyond that, I believe much of the property appears neglected, with only a few businesses--such as Yard House, Tequila Jack's, and Parker's Lighthouse--continuing to draw significant traffic. I encourage visitors to look around carefully and form their own opinions before choosing where to spend their time and money. I hope Shoreline Village's ownership and management take this seriously, improve the condition of the property, and ensure their employees treat visitors with professionalism and respect. Since management has chosen not to respond, they should expect to hear from me shortly through the appropriate channels regarding both this incident and the way it has been handled.
