First they don't allow students to choose their science courses in 9 th grade , instead they require them to take in sequence ( physics, chemistry biology). Then the main science course teachers especially AP Physics and Chemistry honor don't know how to teach. Those teachers don't know how to help students to apply their knowledge and concepts to solve problems, and assign homework on regular basis to help students to reinforce what they learn. My kid and the entire class struggle and stress on these subjects. The administration staff don't care. Students have to watch YouTube to learn it themselves. What is the point of paying high tuition for the teachers can't teach and kids have to look for resources from YouTube themselves!! My kid also mentioned that most of the students in the class cheat but the teachers don't know because too busy in texting or they just don't care. I am thinking to pull my kid out of this school next school year. I don't recommend this school at all . Don't waste your hard earned money !

For example, the school provides electives that will get your child ahead of the current industry such as coding, 3D printing, etc. The school staff is very friendly and will answer any and all questions you may have. I would send several emails a day before registering my son with questions and received a response in most cases immediately or within an hour after sending. My son shadowed for two days and immediately wanted to enroll. The teachers are very attentive and partners with parents to ensure your child is successful. Every student is issued their own Chromebook and many of the lessons taught in the classroom is taught using the laptop. The school has a focus on technology and uses apps that shows grades and upcoming calendars to help students and parents manage assignments and exams. This is a school that I would consider thinking ahead of the curve and innovative which is needed as there is a lot of competition for jobs in the Bay Area. I believe this school will provide my child a foundation for success. The school provides college planning counselors that will meet with your child individually. The campus is a newer building which also made my decision to enroll my child even easier. If you are looking for a school for your child 6th-12th grade, you should consider Crosspoint Academy. Staff of whom we have interacted with are extremely nice and responsive to any concerns. Tuition is one of the most reasonable you can find in the whole Bay Area, the value each student get is tremendous! The tuition even includes extended care which in already pays for itself! Especially for busy family with both full time working parents. Public schools usually ends around 2:30, but your tuition includes extended care until 6:00! I think my husband and I are both in awe, every month, on how little we are paying for a "private school" education. In fact the tuition is very similar to our local public schools after school program, and that program was suppose to already run by a registered non profit organization! Our family is extremely grateful that we have found this school. And grateful for all the teachers and staff our children have had so far. Big shout out to Ms. Mary (which my children talk about everyday, even if they have already moved on from her class), Ms Divine, and Ms. Contreras. Fast forward she is 6 and all 3 teachers she's had have complimented how prepared she was- all thanks to Nelva and Dora. Now she is at a private school where part of the admissions process was to test in and she received a scholarship to #2 ranked school in the state. Please note that on their website they do endorse items like marriage being only between one woman and one man and even their class examining different religions has a Christian bias. That does not mean that non-Christians or people who may go against these values will 100% be treated bad(although I can't speak for any new changes or LGB people), but it is something to note if you are looking at this school. 2. Adding onto the diversity part, I had teachers that were more conservative, others that were a bit more nuanced, some I have no idea about, teachers who care about social justice. But all the teachers I had were very much nice to me in some way, even as a non-Christian. In other words, the teachers very much care about their job and ensuring your child will be well-rounded enough and good at thinking. I found that I was much better at thinking about the world as a whole, though that may be more about me than the school. But just note that there might be a diversity of views, some you might find uncomfortable, but none that I would call concerning or enough to tell you to not enroll. 3. They seem to really be investing more in sports again, and it's clearly working. Can't speak more about that, but if sports is a priority for you, that might be something to look at. 4. Please note that this review speaks about experiences for this school under its original title as Valley Christian. I can't speak for any new changes under Brave Christian, and they may result in a very different experience than my review has given. Per my child, most of the students are friendly and from good educational families. We are giving 3 stars for class teachers and their teaching skills. But there are several negatives about this school. Even though all parents knows about it we can't do nothing. We are not able to switch to another school as there are no better options at this location. Negatives: 1. They raise their monthly fees every year but they don't improve any quality to their services. My kid always complains about spider webs in the bathrooms and it's always very dirty. So, he refuses go to bathroom and holds for whole day. 2. No extra curricular activities like sports tournaments like running, soccer, basketball, table tennis or any competitive events for building children's physical and mental strengths. 3. No fun events; students should have singing and dancing, cultural events, talent show, etc. 4. No sports equipments provided to students; they could have provided at least these basic sports equipments: PingPong tables, chess boards, soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, etc. So, kids can have fun on recess time or after school time. We hope school administration will take necessary action work on it to improve.
