However, when I had my surgery in October a beautiful group of mates got together and bought me a gift card! So, today I did something I haven't done in 12 years. I got my hair cut and when I explained to Morgan, the girl who cut my hair, that I cover my head for religious reasons she didn't even blink! I was treated with great respect and care! Then when I told her I am allergic to lavender she inspected every bottle to find what she needed that didn't have lavender. Additionally, it was my mates birthday and so I treated her to a pedicure and they helped me to make it extra special to celebrate her! Lastly, due to my health issues I can only my use clean products, they only use Aveda products for hair and skin, and they use Dazzle Dry nail varnish, which has no toxic chemicals! The atmosphere is artistic and tasteful. They offer a variety of artwork for purchase and support local artists by doing so. The Services: Stephanie is amazing! She has been doing my hair for two years now. As I am moving to the West side in a few weeks, I will still be driving to Ellensburg for my hair appointments. She has helped me decide on styles and colors and is patient even when I don't have a clue what I want. My facial from Miranda was like the most relaxing thing in the world (might be a tie between Erin's massage). Erin is one of the best massage therapists I have ever experienced. First, the salon didn't even bother stocking white polish, so I couldn't get French tips that I get every time I go. Then the tech didn't say a word the whole time I was there. I got a simple clear coat gel manicure and this is the garbage I got. No idea what shape she was going for but some parts looked chewed in the corners (she twisted the clippers to break off the nail instead of getting clean clips) and other nails had sharp corners. When I mentioned the Polish under my nails and on my skin, she looked and said she didn't see anything, then gave me a discount and sent me on my way. My nails weren't dry when she sent me off and when she pushed my cuticles back she didn't even bother trimming off the excess. Pretty bad experience and I tore the gel off in less than 24hrs because it was so ugly- you get what you pay for I guess, so though I used to love going there to get my nails done, I will now be going elsewhere.

Probably because we had an amazing conversation and I just enjoyed everything about the experience. Jaymes is a very cool guy and he's intelligent and interesting and runs such a unique Salon. It was a true experience getting my hair done there and unlike any other Salon I've ever been to. I felt like I was back in San Francisco, in the city, at a very cool place. It was weird to walk out and realize I was actually in Ellensburg. The really crazy thing was that Jayme's Salon has been there for 12 years, on Water Street across from Fred Meyer, where I had worked for the last 12 years, and I never knew it was there. Lexi the nail tech at 425 & company really disappoints because she is the one who has told an old client of hers those things while doing her nails. The reason behind this is due to her not scheduling all her clients accordingly and not being clear about her policies. Lexi got upset at a client because the nail design was "too difficult" and she wouldn't have enough time but was already late with the client before, and Ive even seen a similar design on other clients in the past as well. Not only did she rush this client, not do any design, and tell her to prep her own nails next time but she even went out of her way weeks after saying these things to her and doing her nails and blocked her. Not only that but I've also gotten my nails done by her and it was decent she also claimed she couldn't even do an oval French tip because the polish brush was "too big" while the detailing brushes were right on her desk. Shortly into the appointment I realized I was never going to come back after she spoke down on her other clients.

I wanted to use someone local, professional, with technical skills. These are my eyes and I take this procedure very seriously. I googled cosmetic tattoos and read Renee's reviews. I watched you tube and read blogs. I wanted to be informed. After researching, I chose Renee. She did not disappoint.
