I would say the Dr. There is kind and the staff is nice as you come and go. However, the care I received there did not have any lasting benefits. I fact the issue I was there for continued to get progressively worse. I started there with the spinal decompression under the name of Genesis Back and Neck within Pamer Chiropractic and then added a group of chiropractic sessions on, based on Dr. Pamer's recommendation of the issues and her course of treatment. The spinal decompression was very expensive, so adding the chiropractic sessions on was over the top for me. They allowed me to make payments on both. I let the doctor know as well as the decompression attendant that I wasn't getting better and infact getting worse. At no point did anyone say maybe your not the best candidate for this, let's try something different and or we should discontinue this if things are getting worse. I am sure they help many people, but if what you are doing isn't working, in my opinion the care giver should be doing something about that. They were more than happy to keep taking my money, and mis spoke a few times as to what my remaining balance was and what the payment amount was supposed to be. I went to a different Dr. And with in 2 sessions had relief and a plan forward inclusive of exercises that would stop the damage that was occurring. In my first visit with the new doctor, he said I waited too long to come. Two months and more than $3000 later, and nothing to show for what I paid for. I don't think I was a good candidate for what they do there and I would like others to be aware and not just trust and jump in as I did. My job is physically demanding with repetitive over use issues. The Doctor I changed to treats every case uniquely addressing the causes and issues with solutions. I am happy to pay for services rendered, but would like to have results for what I paid for. In the final discussions about the remaining balance and my displeasure, I was met with indignant, sarcastic disrespectful behavior, with one thing only as the end game..... "It's understandable you feel that way, what card do you me to use to pay." Where I go now, there are no " packages" you pay as you go. They don't want you to have to come back 2 a week for months, they want you to be able to maintain on your own and come back when you need help, and help that produces positive results. If I could do it again, I would not have chosen Pamer Chiropractic or Genesis Back and Neck. Not a good fit for me and no one there cared enough about me as a patient to say that at any point. They just wanted their money, which they received in full for services rendered. read more

I wouldn't put any faith whatsoever in the bad reviews. Some people are just unhappy and you'll never please them. Id be willing to bet that the ones giving bad reviews don't put much emphasis into living a healthy lifestyle as it takes discipline and cooperation with your doctor. These are most likely the same people that I see in physical therapy who put minimal effort into their own recovery, then complain/blame the doctor for not getting better. When I'm in physical therapy, I'm usually the only one there actually breaking a sweat during the warm up. You have to want to get better and meet your doctor halfway. As for me, Dr. Pamer has been great and this is coming from someone who is skeptical of most doctors as I do understand what it's like to receive low quality care, but Dr. Pamer does not deserve to be included as one of those doctors. When I first sought out a chiropractor back in 2020, I was coming off of a bad ATV accident that completely sidelined my drive to continue exercise/physical therapy as the pain and discomfort in my neck was shutting me down physically and mentally. I greatly improved, my first year with Dr. Pamer but I also admit I was not doing the homework that she prescribed. I moved away and even though I had half of my visits left, her practice would respond via email and Dr. Pamer would address my concerns. (For those of you who are unhappy with the prices blame the health insurance industry for that! They are the crooked ones). Time went on and my health deteriorated again as I was no longer receiving care. The VA diagnosed me with degenerated disk disease and arthritis last month which also took a major toll on my mental health as I came to accept that my neck would always hurt and only get worse as time went on. For an ex-athlete this was a death sentence as I thought there was no hope of recovery. I happened to be in town visiting family so I stopped in for an adjustment earlier this week and today the tender bones in my neck are no longer tender after just one adjustment. When you are in constant pain for over a year, you easily forget what it's like to be pain free and don't realize the mental effect (depression) that the pain had caused. I actually shed a few tears of joy driving home today because I feel so hopeful vs hopeless. The last time I shed tears from emotion (July 2022) was in the emergency room after I snapped my adductor tendon off the bone and the doctors told me that I could never do squats again with the damage that I sustained plus bulging L5S1 disk. Dr. Pamer has been like an angel in my life, as she has taken my pain away. I feel like a new person. If you've taken the time to read this long review, you are probably feeling desperate like I was and I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pamer. I'm a technician/engineer and I understand how to troubleshoot systems, and I can say that Dr. Pamer does use a troubleshooting process for diagnosis as all doctors should, but not all do. I'll start off with the good point of this facility: they're very polite, friendly and respectful. They have a clean office. Now, let's get into why I would never recommend this facility ever. Chiropractic care is typically not something that strays from proper medical practice and scientific research. However, this practice refuses to acknowledge that they base their care on unproven theory. "Subluxation" is a theory they will ensure you've read and you'll be tested on in your first appointment. They hand you this laminated brochure on this concept and deem it as fact, despite not being able to provide scientific articles on the matter proving their claims. So not o oh do they provide and instill misinformation from the very beginning, but they have very unorthodox methods about doing things. They take your x-rays and make you clear your evening for a group session with other patients and their spouse/SO to discuss general things, then they take you individually to a room to discuss your specific case privately and discuss financial plans too. They say you are obligated to bring an SO or significant other to this meeting. I did not attend this meeting because this raised major red flags for me. When I went in for my second appointment (that typically is done after this group session but apparently it was imperative that I come in ASAP to start my treatment) I was given yet another brochure which I confirmed wasn't for proving I had a concussion but was in fact for "informing" me that chiropractic care will help with my immune system. They even have anti-vax promoting posters since apparently chiropractic care is used as an alternative. Anyway, I sat at this office for 40 minutes where I was given 2 minutes of "care" overall. This office is an open area, so you can generally see for the most part how long she works on each patient and what she does while you're waiting. I'm sure everyone goes to her for different reasons, but she does the same 2 minute treatment for everyone? Which is $55 per session for your info according to their accountant if you're curious. I had this unshakable feeling that this place is more of a scam than it is a medical practice and the letter I received and multiple phone calls I had simply confirmed my suspicion even more. No proper chiropractic office would be compelled to contact their patients this much implying they have "URGENT care" that needs to be resolved "IMMEDIATELY". I went to a different physician and was confirmed that my situation wasn't nearly as severe as Dr. Pamer made it sound. Save yourself the time and headache and find a different practice. I fully admit I fell for their whole pitch. I went to this office weekly for about two years. I was offered a "free" introductory exam and I figured why not, I had experienced lower back pain. I thought it would help. After my first exam, I had to attend this weird orientation with my husband to go over my "exam" and was recommended doing 3 adjustments a week with tractioning. My insurance covered 30 adjustments so I went along with it. At first I felt some relief and thought I was benefitting from the process. Note: the entire time I am being fed a lot of information on vertebral subluxation (which does not have substantial scientific evidence of its existence). I bought into it and they even approached me at a time when I wasn't working to hire me on to try and sell this pseudo-science to people at fairs (not my proudest moment). About a year and a half in, I realized I wasn't feeling any relief from these adjustments and sometimes came out with more pain from neck adjustments. At this point I was also paying $100 a month (this was a discounted price, thanks Dr. Pamer!) for weekly adjustments. I was locked in a yearly contract for this. I finally woke up to realize that I was falling for pseudo-scientific tactics that weren't actually doing anything. Dr. Pamer and her staff are nice people and I believe that they are all bought into what their selling. That said, what they are selling is mot effective treatment for disease. It may help a little with mild pain for while but it won't cure you or stop cancer (all claims made while I frequented their office.) I would recommend doing your research before signing a contract or agreeing to treatment. If i could give this 0 stars i would. I went in and had an initial exam done. At the very end I went to reschedule so that we can review my results and the girl at the front desk said my husband needed to be with me for when we review the results. I asked her why and she said it's just a standard thing because they want to talk about finances as well as the results. When I told her this wouldn't work with our schedules because we both work full time and have small children she said she would have to confirm with the Doctor if it was OK. The Doctor then said no and I needed my spouse to come. This was the strangest thing I had ever heard. First, my husband and I know everything about each other but what if we didn't or we keep things separate in terms of finances? What I do with my money should not be of concern as long as I am paying and if I don't want my husband to know about all of my health issues, I shouldn't need to. Isn't this against HIPAA? I then went to another chiropractor and had them request these results and they would not send them. Which is not legal. This place is a SCAM. I paid for my "exam" and never received the results because my spouse couldn't come? I have never experienced anything so strange with a Doctor's/chiropractor office in my life. Dr. Mackenzie Pamer is one of the best Chiropractors in Columbus, Ohio hands down. As a competitive powerlifter since 1980, I am well aware of the benefits of treatment with a great Chiropractic Doctor. I have visited Chiropractors for many years and have used seven different Chiropractors in Columbus alone mostly due to living in different suburbs at different times. I would visit whomever was close. I had just recently visited a Chiropractor in Dublin (due to her location) and she admitted to me that she had problems trying to adjust me and wanted me to have a series of deep tissue massages. With this revelation ... I went straight back to Dr. Pamer; (although, she is located in Powell) as previous treatments with her were quite effective and she has never had any problem adjusting me. She treated me six years ago. I have neck injuries due to a situation that occurred at work several years ago and some minor spinal issues (4 bulging disc and sciatica) due to squatting and deadlifting heavy weights for years with no chemical help. Dr. Pamer is great with her hands and has a wonderful bedside manner. Her practice is clean and very professional in appearance. Unlike many Chiropractors I have experienced, Dr. Pamer goes to great lengths to try to educate her patients as to the benefits of Chiropractic Care and she has many patients who will readily testify as to her unique talents. She is especially great with young children and seems to have quite a few younger patients from what I have recently observed. Very, very disappointing. As a new patient, she only spent a few minutes with me and didn't do anything to help me. I was told to return and she only spent 5 minutes with me. I was charged for both visits. I am new to the area and my other chiropractor spent at least 40 minutes treating me. At this rate, it will take years to feel better, not to mention the extra money it will cost me. Just a way for her to make money and stretch out the treatments, meanwhile, I feel no better. Dr.Pamer is an excellent Chiropractor. I have gone to her gladly for the past 5 yrs. or so. When I started with her I had many aches and pains and had been told by a orthopedic Dr. that I would need knee surgery. It took a few months but I can say the knees are completely back to normal. Lower back pain kept me on meds for many years but again, I can say the pain is minimal if at all after Dr. Pamers gentle care. I really could go on and on but it would always be the same comments. Dr. Pamer listens to what you have to say and genuinely cares for her patients. She definitely deserves the 5 stars read more
