I've never hired a pet sitter before. In the past, I've always had roommates or a cat-friendly neighbor that I would trade sitting duties with. From the first email, they were highly professional. During our introductory meeting, I knew that Peter (co-owner with his wife, Teresa) would be great. He asked the right questions, obviously well-schooled that cats like to hide, and wanted me to show him all their hiding spots. While I was away, he called and/or emailed with regular updates and with any questions that arose. This was especially comforting because I have one kitty with heart failure and she's on daily meds. Knowing she was cooperating with the medication really eased my mind. I really couldn't be any happier with his care of my cats (indoor as well as keeping an eye on the feral colony of 5 I have in the back yard) or the care of my home. My husband and I have been using Pampered Pals for years and could not be happier. They go above and beyond in every aspect of their service. Nicole (our dog walker) takes our 12 year old Brooklyn on a multitude of different excursions and always leaves a note with a quick synopsis of the day. She'll even often text pictures and videos of Brooklyn and her buddies, which are such joyful massages to receive while away! With our dog being an advanced age, Nicole keeps a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't over exert herself (which she has a tendency to do) and any other potential medical issues. It is tanks to Nicole and Pampered Pals that Brooklyn is still so lively and runs around, they really keeps her in a good shape! Pampered Pals also works extremely hard to meet our ever-changing schedules and go above and beyond to care for not only Brooklyn but also for our cat Larry. We also consider Pampered Pals our advisers on anything Brooklyn and Larry related, when it comes to medicine, food, habits you name it, Teresa and Nicole are the first ones I ask. Brooklyn and Larry are also troublemakers, and very often will get into something in the house, but the mess is always gracefully taken care off by the time we get home, and if there is any signs of concerns we will get a text message with notification. I don`t know what we would have done without them, we are lucky to have them and even considered the location of our last house move based on their reach. I have been with Pampered Pals for the past 4 years (change of hands aprx 2 1/2 years ago- both really good) and I'm super pleased ( face warm, a little pink with a smile from ear to ear) with the top notch, professional team Theresa and Peter have spearheaded (big heart thumping). I have 3 super sweet, sometimes demanding, sometimes under the weather, love of my life dogs (and also had a beautiful cat for 16 1/2 years that they took very good care ) and all I can say is if Pampered Pals isn't available and grandma can't cover shifts--- well---- Maybe I don't need to go wherever I thought I did.... IF you want a reliable, conscientious service with integrity--- you know that shows up @ 7 a.m. when they commit to it- and they cover your neighborhood--- give them a call. We first tried Pampered Pals recently when we needed our dog "otherwise occupied" for an afternoon while we had an open house. We have a 90lb. German Shepherd who is very sweet, but also very much a GSD (...protective and suspicious of anyone new coming to our home). Mack bonded instantly with her and then occupied her all afternoon out of the house while we had an afternoon party with many guests coming and going. It was impressive how easily and quickly he established a great rapport with her ( not easily done...) He's clearly got a real skill working with dogs. She obviously enjoyed spending time with him, also. In our opinion, Pampered Pals is a terrific service for your four-legged best friends. Teresa and Peter have been providing my dog with stellar dog outings, as well as an occasional overnight boarding situation for past couple of years. They never miss a trick and my dog is always incredibly excited to see them. They did a very thorough interview and temperament test initially, and he has never had a single problem while with them. Teresa has been taking care of Ethel for 2 years (since she was 12 weeks old!) and Alyssa more recently - they are dependable, knowledgeable and always flexible when I need them to be. I have turned to Teresa in a pinch on several occasions - I really trust her judgment and she is always there to help. Most important though, Ethel LOVES them. It's easy to tell the difference in her attitude and energy on days when she gets to hike or play. We have had Bill and his team at Pampered Pals helping us several times a week with our buddy Javi since he was a puppy. They helped teach us some of the early puppy necessities while incorporating fun, walks, and playtime while making us neurotic new dog owners feel comfortable and in good hands the entire time. Now our dog is a grown up guy and looks forward to his daily walks around the neighborhood. He has dog friends he visits down the street and it makes us feel like he's always got something going on even when we are working AO day. I have been a happily using Pampered Pals for my dogs' mid-day walks and potty breaks for well over a year. I found them on YELP and love them! My husband and I very much appreciate how much they care about our pups. When we started with PP, we had our beloved 2 senior dogs, Dolly and Javi. Dolly is very moody and reluctant to walk with anyone but me, and Javi loves to play ball and smooch. They both love the walkers from PP. The walkers are very sensitive to their individual senior and geriatric needs. To me, this is an example how they go above and beyond to care for our animals. Plus, I really appreciate it when they email or text me when they have any concerns, or notice anything unusual about their behavior or health. (Ex: Someone has an accident. Someone seems sore.) Above and beyond!!! One day they came to walk Dolly and Javi and there was a 13 week old puppy behind a baby gate in the laundry room. I was "fostering" him, and neglected to notify them before they came. I received a text "You got a puppy! He's so cute and sweet!" Without skipping a beat they took him out for a piddle break. This foster became a permanent member of our family (Leroy)a few days later and Pampered Pals has been great with him too. They are exceptional at meeting his needs, which are very different from those of the "big dogs". When he developed a limp, they texted me. When he spit something up on his bedding, I was emailed. This communication means so much to me! Above and beyond!!! One day, my husband came home early and Alyssa (our walker) was there. He enjoyed meeting her and seeing how much she and our dogs enjoyed each other. Our dogs are our children and we love them completely. While it would be nice to be able to stay home with the dogs, or at least work shorter days, we are grateful to have Teresa and her awesome staff taking such good care of them. It gives me peace of mind, and helps my dogs to be physically and mentally healthy to have their service. I completely recommend Pampered Pals, because they care about your pets almost as much as you do! P.S. Monday, the temperatures soared to the upper 80's.
