I made a reservation over Christmas and confirmed the reservation with the new owner (via email) in early March. Since I noticed a few of my dog's shots were not up to date, I made a veterinary appointment two days prior to my dog's boarding with Chelstars and got his shots up to date. When my wife arrived at Chelstars, three hours before our plane was to leave, the dog was denied entry since the shots happened less than two weeks ago. My wife was told that this rule was posted on the website (a picture of the website is attached). We were successful in having to find an alternative placement in less than an hour. Since I have had a four year relationship with the facility, I called the owner about future boarding. This is when Emi Jo mentioned my wife was swearing at the employees. While my wife was probably frustrated, she does not swear (and almost never loses her temper). My wife also vehemently denies it. I would bet my life on the words of my wife. Granted, I may have sworn and lost my temper, but... I was not there. We will not be returning! I will pay extra money to work with a facility that knows how to tell the truth about a website and doesn't make up fairy tales.

They are excellent with animals, very kind. friendly, patient and conscientious, efficient, work great as a team, hard-working and yet easy going, do beautiful work on the grooming projects I've seen, and they have great relationships with both 2 legged and 4 legged customers. My dog LOVES to come here, it's a treat for him. And I love to go there too. I've never seen an unhappy customer there. The vibe is fabulous and the prices are great. I don't think there is a better place to take your pet for grooming this side of heaven, and now I guess they also clean teeth. I can't recommend them enough. I'm so grateful they are in my life. They were friendly on the phone and found a way to accommodate me. When I picked my pups up, they looked and felt like different dogs - in a good way! We were able to make it to our current vet 10 miles farther. He was starting to turn blue at that point. Our vet was able to get him to clear the food that was obstruction his airway and he was okay.
