I was a client of Great Lakes for seven years. We've taken every dog we've ever been lucky enough to have to this clinic. I honestly love Dr Jeff and Dr Randy and I will miss them greatly but I can no longer bring my pets here. After a truly nightmare experience happened at their clinic on 11/16/20 I requested proof of testing that was done. I believe something happened that I can't prove - but ultimately as a result of this - I ended up requesting my pets medical records. Instead of providing the test results to me immediately they responded that they had contacted their malpractice insurance carrier for "professional counsel". I had to threaten to have them reported for violation of the law with the veterinary licensing board of WI to finally receive the medical records of my pets. Once received I found that their vet tech staff put things that were completely false and also a matter of opinion in the records from the night this happened. I have agreed as of Monday (11/30/20) to let this all go if they remove the false information from my pet records so I can take them somewhere else without carrying their negativity with me. The information I asked to have fixed didn't even have to do with the incident that almost took my puppy's life. They made comments about vaccines (indicating that I didn't intend to get him vaccinated for rabies by the time required by law) and the food that I feed my puppy (claiming that I "shot them down" when they talked to me about DCM and other food) that never happened in the records. I feed my puppy Fromm Large Breed - which is not a grain free food and is the food recommended for this stage of life by his breeder. On 12/3/20, I finally heard back from their practice manager Tamera and she told me that they would not update the records to be accurate of their encounter with me because they are electronic and once entered can't be changed. I only heard back from her after threatening her a second time with the licensing board of WI. I have since filed the complaint with the licensing board and also have filed a small claims lawsuit to collect the cost of the extensive veterinary care that my puppy has needed after he was negligently handled at their clinic. Please also keep in mind when reading this the pet that this all happened to, is a 16 week old puppy who at 14 weeks almost died in their care, and needs ongoing medical care. I'm currently unable to provide that for him, because they won't release records that are accurate and not based in opinion. read more

I do like this place. Friendly but STRESSED staff. Unfortunately it feels like I am often being pushed to try expensive products/alternative treatments when I am here. Not everyone with a dog is wealthy.... :-( Making me feel bad for not wanting to try the most expensive option leaves a sour taste. I go home and cry. I DO have the finances to take care of my dog but nothing extravagant. We used to use the in house groomer. She was great but she now seems over booked and stressed. Not bringing my dog back here for grooming unless they reconsider how they treat both costumers and dogs. (And elderly dog shouldn't have to sit and wait a whole day in a crate ) If you are so busy; don't overbook!! We hope things change because over all this is a good facility. If they would only start focusing more on costumer care and less on $$$. read more

These guys are the best!!! I take my miniature poodle Cinnamon, and my cats Serena and Fantine. My questions are always answered courteously, my pets are treated like royalty and I am always made to feel like a welcomed friend. They treat my four-year-old like one of their own children (she always begs to come to see the "animal doctors") and they have a small assortment of toys and books which she loves to play with. I am extremely picky about who gets to take care of my furry friends; I wouldn't take my pets to anyone else. You know your pets get good care when they pull forward on the leash with tail wagging as they enter! If you are looking for extraodinary care for your pet "babies", then these are your vets!! I was blown away by the excellent service and care I received at this office. Dr. Jamie was absolutely incredible and I have never felt so comfortable with a provider. I recently had to bring my dog in for an urgent care visit and the office was phenomenal. She readily made time for us and explained everything including all of our options, costs of procedures/tests, what to expect for follow up and showed me how to administer my dogs medications. She even called the next day to check up on us. I would highly recommend this office. read more
