My sister and I have been taking our 2 toy poodles to Kate @Pampered Pooch for the last 3 years. During this time we have been very satisfied with the service, both as we were treated and also our poodles. Originally, we had set up an appointment for 2/6/2014 but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to keep the appointment and would have been an hour late. We called Kate and she told us to call on 2/11/2014 to set up another appointment. When I called on 2/11/2014 to set up an appointment Kate screamed at me and told me that "I was never to call there again, that our dogs would never be welcome there again"! I want to emphasize that Kate WAS SCREAMING at me!!! This rude, unprofessional conduct was uncalled for, totally unexpected and unappreciated. Kate knows the physical handicaps I am having to deal with at this time and she showed no compassion whatsoever!!! Kate has also made mention that because my "service" dog is 14 years old that I "should start thinking about putting her to sleep!" Now I know what she must be thinking about me since I am 61 years old and not in good health!!! I will caution you that the day may come for you as well that after years of doing business Kate has a psychological break and takes it out on you, so be very careful with yourself and the dog/s you love so much!!! read more

First experience here was so bad that it will surely be my last time ever coming here. Didn't listen to what I wanted done to my dog. If you go be very very specific or else you will get a dog that has a choppy shave job that you didn't ask for. read more

I just called to make a new appointment for my Maltipoo. The groomer we used before was Petland grooming and they stop doing grooming. I am not sure who answered but they didn't sound friendly or even sound like she cared to get new business. I will be calling around elsewhere! read more

My last visit to Pampered Pooch was certainly my last. I grinned and beared the rolling commentaries that I needed to brush my animals more often (once a week wasn't sufficient), but this is why I take them to a groomer. On my last visit I picked up my animal, left a FAT tip to the employees with intention to give the owner, and when I got home I discovered huge cuts on his genitals and stomach. I really love pampered pooch. Their bathing services are WONDERFUL and my pug mix comes home feeling and smelling great and for days after his bath. My mom's chow/collie mix also comes for her hair cuts and it's some of the best grooming I've seen. Through my job, I interact with lots of dogs and cats, many of which come to Kate, so I've seen lots of amazing hair cuts from Pampered Pooch. First time customer and disappointed. Had my small dog groomed for a summer cut. Not a great cut for the price. Haircut was not even and there were a lot of 'dings' and stray hairs - not smooth or tidy at all. I had to trim him up when we got home. At least he was bathed that's all I can say. read more

I brought my dog Willie Nelson here for the first time today and he and I were both happy customers. He was scared at first walking in because he didn't recognize the new environment. Understandably so. When I picked him up the ladies in the salon were just ranting and raving about how well behaved he was. They treated him well, I can tell because he definitely wasn't the same scared little dog walking out that he was when he walked in. Now as far as the cut and groom, ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I almost didn't recognize him. I would totally recommend this place if anyone needs a pet groomer. read more

I was a little nervous given some of the mixed reviews, but this place is super close to home and it's super convenient, so we figured what the heck. We have an English Mastiff rescue who'd we'd given as best of a bath at the shelter that we could before she was fixed KNOWING we couldn't bathe her for 10 days. When the 10th day finally came she was a bit of a funky monkey so we took Mona to Kate. First of all, the girls in there are hilarious. Absolutely hysterical. They're great with animals, they even took a photo dancing with our Mona and put it on their Facebook. So we felt good leaving our baby there. When we picked her up she was clean as whistle. They gave her a full service bath, nail trim, de-shed, and they even expressed her glands. Tip and all was $65. And we tipped generously. Mona was clean and she smelled amazing. The best part has been the de-shed. For anyone with a short haired shedder, these girls do some magic that lasts and keeps your couch a little cleaner for weeks. And Mona was happy when we picked her up, the girls had taken perfectly good care of her and had called us once they were done. The price point may seem high for some folks, but we were paying for convenience and the comfort of knowing we left Mona with legit dog people. Totally worth every penny. We'll be regular customers for sure. read more

Kate is an awesome groomer, been going here for years. The entire staff is professional and passionate about the work. My dog,Watson is a shihtzu and always looks great after he is groomed; the staff listens to your instructions and leaves your pet looking great! Prices are excellent as well as the services they offer. My dog is always excited to go and is always treated with love; the staff never neglects or abuses the animals. Highly recommend to bring your pet(family member)you will not regret it! read more

I have taken my maltipoo here for the past year, she always does a good job on the hair cuts, bath, and nails. Owner does have a tendency to criticize you if your dog isnt groomed before she grooms them. As well as having one very bad experience where I made an appointment with her a week and a half in advance, then the day of she calls me fifteen minutes before my appointment and says I was late by thirty minutes which was not correct I had It written down, and she cancelled on me. read more

This lady (Kate, the owner) is rude & unprofessional! After taking my dog to her for approximately 6-7 years for grooming, she flat out told me in front of other customers that she wouldn't groom my dog anymore because he's a senior & she thinks he can't stand any more. My dog had recently broke his foot & I explained this to her & she said no problem, bring him in. When I asked her what she suggests as far as cutting his hair in the future, she just coldly responded "I don't know". & she even went as far to tell me "If it were my dog, I would've had him put to sleep". Not even my own veterinarian has suggested such a thing & for her to say that, it was just cruel & insensitive! I thought we had built a relationship with this lady after so long but this completely ruined it for me & I wouldn't trust her ever again or recommend her to anyone!! Had I known she was going to react this way towards my senior dog, I would've quit taking him there a long time ago. read more
