Came by because one of their cookies made it to that NY Times article talking about five show-stopping cookies in the city. The cookie utilizes white and black sesame and is definitely an outlier in terms of not your normal cookie. It has a nice texture, mostly crumbly and is earthy, nutty and not too sweet. I think you'll really like that cookie if those are things you look for, but there is a wide variety in what one considers a favorable cookie; many people for example may find this not sweet enough, or soft enough. However, for a bakery that is doubling as a wine bar in the night, their baked goods proved to be better than one would expect given this fact. The iced cappuccino was just what I needed too. I stopped by on a weekend mid-day and it wasn't too crowded, with a few people working on their laptops. There's a few tables outside too. Would def come back to try more of their things, as well as their wine bar service.

The name Pan Pan brings to mind the famous bar Pam Pam of Juan-Les-Pins, but it is actually the Vino Vino portion of the name which denotes the adult beverages purveyed here in the evening. This really is one of the most pleasant wine bars I've been to in North Brooklyn in ages. I tried the oyster mushrooms with cashew crema along with a glass of rose - a perfect pre-dinner snack.

Friendly staff, outdoor seating, and delicious baked goods. This morning I met a friend for a latte at Pan Pan in Greenpoint - it's a very cute cafe, and we chose to sit outside. I normally don't go for sweets in the morning, but I couldn't say 'no' to their sesame chocolate chip cookie. All the baked goods looked good, but one employee recommended the cookie. I took it to-go, no regrets!

Buttery croissants!! The laminated dough was so good. The guava cream cheese was a favorite because it wasn't too sweet

Hours are never accurate! Tried to come twice and both times they weren't open with no notice! Won't be coming back a third time.

There is local artwork on the wall (for sale if that is your goal), there are dozens of seats between couches, tables and even an old wooden desk from the 1930's. There's also a great outdoor patio with some covered tables and chairs. Effortless cool, this is it. Coffee: 5/5. We had the espresso and cortado. Both were rich and dark, and came in a nice porcelain cup. We appreciate the small touches, because coffee in paper cups is just not as tasty. Ambiance: 5/5. The decor is perfect for creative types looking for remote work locations. Plush couches, small high top tables with bankers lights, and a few long coffee tables makes this place ideal for work or socializing. The noise level on a Sunday afternoon was muted, but it might be louder during weekdays. Value: 5/5. The prices are well below market value for Greenpoint, about $1-$2 less than other coffee bars. And they have so many mocktails under $10! Wow it's like 2018 in here!

Cozy couches, nice indoor tables, comfortable outdoor tables too. The coffee was rich and smooth. Not sure who their roaster is, but my latter was a nice full bodied blend. It really hit the spot. My wife likes her lattes with some spice and not every place can meet that request. Red Rover had cayenne which they sprinkled on her latte and for her it was just the right mix. Not too spicy but not wimpy either. Red Ricer is worth a visit if you want great coffee served with a warm coffee house vibe.

We learned where they were sourced and how the flavors were informed by the environment. We were also walked through the process of tasting the wine and some unique tips on analyzing the flavor profile. After the tasting and tour we had the option of purchasing a bottle of wine at a discount. I left with the Barbera - excited to try! Justin created a very easeful environment which encouraged community, open dialogue and laughter. No fluff here! It was definitely an educational experience. The easy going and kind nature of the staff definitely influenced the ambiance. I came with one friend and left with four new ones! And the space is breathtaking - lots of light and free flowing air. After the wine tour which definitely left us tipsy, we got a table and enjoyed more wine and a few plates. The food was mouth watering good. The pick three option was certainly a good portion to share but I ended up divulging in the entire thing. I definitely reset my flavor palette with this meal. I hope to return here someday but in the meantime I'll be promoting by word of mouth!

Overall, the a la carte menu is pretty small, so definitely check it out before you commit to eating here. Pineapple pork fried rice - Aside from the hollowed out pineapple that it came in, the presentation was a little weak (mostly rice, and very small pieces of toppings). The rice lacked color, which ultimately, did make the dish lean on the bland side. I did not think it had enough wok hei (flavor and aroma that comes from being cooked on a wok). We did like that the pork was lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) 3/5 Heritage 5 spice ribs - This was the only winner. Excellent flavor. 4/5 Pork Croqueta Banh mi - Despite the restaurant being Mexican Vietnamese fusion, we were pretty surprised to receive the sandwich that we did. It was pretty different from a traditional banh mi except for the veggies. I was not a fan of the sesame seed bun. The pork croqueta was ok but not wow in any way. 2/5 The restaurant is a bit out of the way. Easy to find parking because there's nothing else around.
