I'm literally in here once a week; every two weeks tops. I would really love to eat in here one day when I don't have to run to work, to just sit in the back at a table and have a latte and chill. I walked here from my hotel in Williamsburg. It's on a cute little block of boutique style shops and restaurants. Super quaint like a little French coffee pastry shop on a corner in Paris. So good. My food was freaking delicious!!! I got the avocado toast and the bacon Gruyère quiche. OMG. I got two things because I wasn't sure if the quiche would be good and I also didn't know if it would be filling. I Completely devoured them both!!! First of all, my avocado toast was topped with tomato, little fried onions (the kind you buy for salads), cheese and radish. Soooooo delicious!! The quiche was a nicely slice piece of heaven. Both came with a tossed little mixed greens salad. Negative. The staff could work on being a bit more friendly I believe. They weren't warm at all. I did not feel welcomed but thought maybe it was a language barrier. But then I thought how are they getting coffee barista style orders right it that was the case. Very confused about how anyone could give less than five stars here. For work, I travel all around the city and often to kill time I stop at bakeries and coffee shops, so I know good coffee and chocolate croissants lol. This chocolate croissant. Next worldly. Their menu offerings are overpriced, in my opinion. It really depends on what you get. If you are looking for a tiny sweet hit with your coffee, you may be able to walk away satisfied. Their larger pastries are priced in the $7-$8 range and their smaller pastries are around $4-$6. I got their cheesecake and a meringue dessert(they didn't have a name for it. Or maybe I didn't catch it). The cheesecake had a yuzu type glaze on it. I liked the meringue dessert the best. The highlight was the to-go mulled wine. It was perfectly spiced, the right temperature for the weather we were in today. By all means get their coffee, but the mulled wine was a star. I'll be back for the mulled wine. I just came by to have some afternoon dessert. It is a small shop on the block that can't be easily missed. My friend and I got Pistachio Tongue ($4) and Tea Cake ($7). I highly recommend the tea cake. It is filled with macadamia nuts and salted caramel. The flavor is marvelous! The pistachio one is too sweet for me. The texture is good though. I came here after having 2 tacos down the street. The size of the tacos were so small I was still hungry so I spotted this on my way to the park. Well sad to say but the croissant was mid at best. Not very flaky.. kind of chewy in a bad way.. like it had been sitting under the glass case for some time. I just wish that bakeries would automatically mark down croissants when they get that way or throw them out. We had the Duet and Vanilla Blackcurrant pastries. Both had good flavors. Unfortunately there is no working public bathroom. This is unacceptable for a cafe. Coffee and tea are diuretics, especially when taken in the morning. Seating is plentiful but you won't be able to stay long. The bathroom is labeled as "employee only", perhaps the owner doesn't want to bother maintaining it for customer usage. Should the owner provide a customer bathroom, I would be inclined to rate the patisserie higher. read more

I could smell his coffee from where he was standing. It was strong and bold. I love my matcha too. The matcha power is NOT sweetened. There were so many choices behind the refrigerated glass, but I being one person decided it probably would be best to not order more than 1 sweet. I lean towards the non-pastry life but everything looks remarkable and obnoxiously unnaturally colored in the best way possible standing true to the gpoint polish bakery lifestyle. Their normal food menu is wonderful offering things like a quinoa bowl as well as veggie burger which to me is unheard of outside of the usual carb centered cafe menus in the area that are also typically delivered and fairly mediocre. I return from my Yelp hiatus to give what might be my new favorite bakery 5 stars. This is where I'd take out-of-town friends to brag about NYC baked goods. Croissant - tastes like France - 5/5. Raisin bun - decadent, somewhat unique, fun to "peel" off pieces, not to be missed - 5/5. Scone - is there such thing as a "light" scone? This had a downright delicate crumb. Not too sweet or too buttery or too dense or too anything. 5/5. All three treats, shared amongst two of us, made for the perfect trio. A perfect order always makes me proud. I'm sure this place is great and the pastries are good, but I wasn't impressed during my trip yesterday. I was debating whether to get a pastry or coffee, and decided, as a currently breastfeeding mom, to try their very good lactation cookie. It was $4 and the cookie was maybe slightly bigger than a chips-a-hoy cookie (aka tiny, especially for the price). For something so small, they shouldn't be charging as much as they are. I also didn't feel like it benefitted my supply at all. Other things at this location might be more worth it, and the pastries did look delicious. I think this place would be worth a try and if I do, I'll update this review. I asked for a cup of water from the counter (where the coffee is) and the person wouldn't even give me a cup of water even if there was a stack of cups back there. My more recent visit was because I was in the need to eat and didn't really know any other places around. The sandwich itself was pretty good with some nice wide pieces of bacon, every bite I had had a piece of bacon in it and adding avocado to it was a nice touch.
