I called beforehand to ask about getting a tragus piercing, and was told to stop in during business hours. Note: There's some street parking available in front of the shop depending on the time of day you visit. I had no problem. Upon entering, the shop looked inviting and clean, and there is a couch to the left (super comfy btw). Carrie, my piercer, was in the back finishing up with a customer. I could tell it was going to be a good experience because the lady before me was laughing and chatting away with Carrie. I was given an iPad to complete some paperwork and provided my ID, and then was taken to the back of the room. She gave me a selection of jewelry to choose from and I picked one that I liked most. She completed the piercing, and here's where she earned 5 stars (if I could give her 10 stars, I would). I got up from my chair after she was done, and I was feeling faint (new experience for me, made me realize that I'm not 18 anymore). I asked her where the restroom was and she started to show me, but then asked me if I was feeling faint or like I was going to throw up. I told her yes, and she immediately brought me back to the piercing room and sat me down, elevating my legs. Then she applied cold compress on my neck and placed a fan near me. She kept talking to me and told me a story that I won't repeat here out of respect, and I could see that despite being a total stranger to me, she was such a compassionate person. After about 10-15 minutes, I felt so much better and was ready to get up and pay. I didn't have cash on me and couldn't leave a tip on the card, and you know what Carrie said? Without skipping a beat, she said it was okay and that the best tip was a positive review. And I could tell she was being so genuine. I left but I didn't feel right about not leaving a tip. The next day, I dropped off a thank you card and tip. She didn't remember me, which honestly made the experience that much more meaningful - she's just naturally that kind and cool that she didn't think anything of my situation. They used to provide you with solution for the after care but I guess they are now charging $12 for it. And the lady instantly added on the warranty until I became weary and she took it off. When she had marked my ears to show me where she will pierce it, I gave her the ok for the first hole. I wanted to see the size of the stud to see where I'd like to place the second one. When it came to the second one, she didn't even mark it and just went for the kill. She somehow managed to "miss" putting the stud in and had to re-pierce the second one and boy did that thing sting lol. She didn't apologize ot bat an eye. She then said all done and gave me the mirror to look. Boy, that second stud was nowhere near where I told her to pierce and it was crooked. When i told her it was crooked she said no it's not, it's lined up straight look at the back. Ok, are we piercing ears to look good in the front or back? What is this lady on? I was furious and said yeah whatever and left. It was annoying today and completely a waste. I didn't get this lady's name but shame on you. I will probably remove my piercing later on. This was the worst customer service I've ever gotten from the Piercing Pagoda.
