Visited Panaderia Rosetta multiple times during our trip to CDMX - that's how good it was. Get there when it opens to avoid long lines or the waitlist to be seated. You can either order at the pastry counter and take your goods to go, or be seated on their cute outdoor patio for table service. For the amount of people in and out of the restaurant, the service does a great job - correct orders, friendly and timely service. Highly recommend the guava roll and vanilla pastry cream empanada. Both are so flavorful, buttery, and delicious!
Worth the hype! It was a little overwhelming when we got there because not only is there a line but because it is close to the street and not a lot of sidewalk space it was a bit crowded. But once we were able to identify the line, it literally took only 10 minutes of wait. I got the guava roll, of course, and it did not disappoint. We also got a concha and that was definitely not impressive. The staff are friendly and very patient considering the crowds they deal with. I definitely recommend grabbing a menu while waiting so that you can order immediately once it's your turn. There's also a bathroom on site.
It's such a cute bakery and I can see why it's so popular! It was quite close to the hotel I was staying in, so I passed by it everyday and it was always packed. It's fairly quick to pick up some pastries and eat them somewhere else, like at a nearby park, but there's a bit of a wait if you want to dine in. The guava roll is definitely a must-try. The pastry was flaky, crispy, and buttery with a generous amount of guava in the center with a thin layer of cream cheese underneath it. I wasn't a big fan of the hoja santa concha I got though. It was light and airy as a concha should be, but the flavor threw me off a bit? I didn't really pay attention to the flavor when I initially bought it though so I wasn't expecting it to be kind of herbal yet mildly peppery?
This is an absolutely stellar bakery, the best I've been to surely. I'm not a coffee or pastry person at all, so it really says something when I think so highly of a place like this. It's one of those rare places that get really hyped up and turn out to actually be worth the hype. We stopped in here on three different occasions during our Mexico City trip, and despite how viral it is there was never a line. The staff was very friendly, prices very reasonable, and order always came out super quick. My favorite things were the rol de guayaba, cafe de olla, and the puerquito de piloncillo. The guava pastry and puerquito were very fresh, soft and not crummy at all. The guava pastry was specifically memorable as it had the most delicious creamy filling in it that tasted like real guava and not overly sweet. The cafe de olla was addicting with the spices being perfectly balanced. It sets the standard for cafe de olla... it's not clear if I'll ever get one as good as the one they make here. This is a must stop during any visit to Mexico City.
It's good. I didn't incur too much of a wait, and I went on a weekday at about 10 am, maybe waited 2-3 minutes? If you want a table you have to wait longer. I suggest you get your items and hoof it over to the park to people watch. I got the beet juice- fabulous, a latte, excellent, the guava roll- duh, and something new which was a coconut y pina berlinesa, DEEEEEELISH. 10/10 on everything.
Beautiful bakery! We put our name down to dine in and was told that the wait was 45 minutes. We lined up at the to go line as well just in case since we were a bit crunched on time. Our name was called within 20 minutes! Fast service and attentive staff. The pastries were so good. I enjoyed the rosemary pan. It was savory and sweet! I got the eggs with broccolini and it was delicious.
A popular café/bakery in Roma Norte. It's very tourist friendly. The line is typically out the door during all hours, but the line goes quickly since you're just ordering at the counter. We didn't dine in since it was hard to find seats for our group, so we just stop by to grab to-go. If you want some their popular items, make sure to come during the day time since it will run out. We came here a few times to try different baked goods: - Guava roll (5/5) - Butter croissant and honey croissant (4/5) - Tres leches cake (5/5) - Concha (3/5) - Mil hojas de frutos rojos/mixed berries napoleon (4/5) The most popular item was their guava roll and it lived up to its expectations. The guava jam was sweet but not too overwhelming. The roll itself had a similar taste to a croissant. It was soft and flaky. They nailed the texture. We ordered a slice of the tres leches and napoleon. Tres leches was moist and the napoleon also was delish. Everything was well priced and a decent size for the price. The concha was also good, not too dry. They have an outdoor patio with shades. The menu also offer a variety of coffee drinks although we didn't try it this time. Overall, a great stop for a sweet treat.
Rosetta is famous for a reason... the service is off the charts & the space itself is unique & beautiful. The pastries are incredible & food is tasty as well!! The hot cafe de olla was the best I had on the entire trip. Chilaquiles were tasty & unique. Definitely do not skip a trip to Rosetta if you find yourself in Mexico City!!!
Top quality bakery with a great variety of breads, pastries and other baked goods. It is always busy but getting an order to go is just about 10-15 minutes. I tried the special guava pastry and dulce de leche pastry, which were both excellent and unique. The chocolate conche was good too. Good coffee. Definitely stop by here if you like pastries. They speak English and have English menus. The pay by card line is the fastest. I came here twice because I had to go again before going back home. One of my favorite bakeries ever!
Panaderia Rosetta is one of those bakeries in Mexico City that people say is a must have. Guava rolls are the thing to get, but their other pastries are really good as well. Guava rolls are a flaky pastry topped with a nice cheese and a generous amount of guava preserves. Being from Southern California, it is impossible to not compare it to Porto's guava cheese strudel. The difference is that Rosetta's version is larger, more flaky, has more guava and cheese. I also liked their "pastry cream ocho". It's named because the pastry is baked into a figure eight and it's filled to the brim with their vanilla bean pastry cream. In the cream you could see flecks of vanilla bean, and it has the taste of a very custardy egg tart. I got a massively huge vanilla concha here, but I wasn't really a fan. It was massive, but it gave me nutty vibes. Wife did feel it was elevated compared to many we have had. For coffee, my wife had a single origin drip coffee from Veracruz. I went with their spice forward cafe de olla. We each loved our picks. She liked smoothness and the acidity of her coffee. Mine was a flavor bomb. This is a very good bakery and it is worth coming to. We came at 8am to get there before the crowds. If all you want is the guava roll, you might have luck getting it without the line at their cafe nin.

Seating at the restaurant is hard to come by though. Many items do run out during the day so arrive early for best selection! Guava pastry - The buttery and flaky pastry with a slightly sweet guava filling is the star of the show here. It tastes incredible and sells out quickly. Cardamom roll - This is their other signature item consisting of a roll beautifully laminated, aromatic with strong cardamom spices. Tiramisu - This espresso soaked treat combines with mascarpone cheese to create a truly exceptional tiramisu that is bold, flavorful and not soggy! Bombolini - This was a lightly sugar coated donut type pastry but it was pillowy soft on the inside with a a pastry cream. It was well executed. Overall all the baked goods here are exceptional! Get here early or you'll miss out on the better items. There are plenty of parks in the immediate vicinity, which provides the perfect place to and enjoy these heavenly treats.
Panaderia Rosetta is a chain bakery in Mexico City, known for their guava pastries. This location is in Roma Norte and is very popular on Instagram. There is always a line outside, but it moves relatively quickly if you pickup. If you'd like to sit inside or outside, I'd definitely be prepared for a wait. The pastries themselves were expensive, but were filling. Overall, everything wasn't sweet enough and the flavors were very average. The guava roll had a tangy cream and there wasn't enough filling to pastry. The cacao roll also was tangy and had a waxy texture due to the nibs. I wished both were a little sweeter. The dulce de leche bun was also dry and very messy to eat. It did taste the best out of the three pastries though. My favorite from the trip was the beetroot juice, it was so refreshing.
Panadería Rosetta has a lot of hype around the guava roll, and honestly, that is well deserved! The guava roll was the best pastry I've had in Mexico, though going to be completely transparent Mexican pastries aren't usually my favorite because I tend to find a lot of them dry. The guava roll was amazing though! Highly recommend, and it didn't disappoint. However, everything else was pretty meh. We also got the chocolate croissant, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and a latte. They were decent. Not horrible, but nothing spectacular.

So, I've been having a recurring dream... About the guava pastries. Holy moly, so good. What a great way to start our day. I got the pastry and a mocha, and we also got a green juice. Everything was amazing. Going to be hard to beat, pastry wise. Even my non-sweet loving bf, loved it. The staff are also so sweet and efficient, and the spot itself is super cute. Will be back. read more
Yeah I know this is one of the most sought cafes in Roma Norte and perhaps maybe a bit fancyier than the old school cafes but we still wanted to try this out. Came here during rush hour, wait was about 25 mins, we roamed around the neighborhood before grabbing a table inside. We had kids including an infant, they were very accommodating getting us a good spot(Staff is super nice and courteous). Decor is super and the staff in the back have a live bakery where they make fresh goods. We had breakfast which we really liked including our coffees, we wrecked not a big fan on pancake as it has coconut flavor and the guava pastry was the star of the show. Good spot to grab coffee/pastry or for a sit down meal. read more

The smell of this cafe is AMAZing. Everything looks beautiful. The staff are nice. They have menus in both English and Spanish. It's always pretty busy. There is some out door seating but there's usually a line and you have to wait to be seated. They also have a bathroom which is a lovely amenity when you've been walking all day. We ordered the following- 1. guava danish pastry was delicious. The creamy guava center was worth it. 2.a gluten free corn muffin that was not my favorite. It had an interesting flavor and consistency. A waiter told me that most of their GF stuff sells out quickly. 3. Coffee with horchata. This was also another rec from the waiter and this was a 0/5. It was not good. I even asked for them to fix it or make it sweeter and they were adamant that that was how it should taste. It was grainy, had no real flavor and just ...not coffee. 4. Cafe latte with vanilla. I went back the next day and the coffee was still not great. So just stick to the pastries! 5. Cinnamon roll-was massive. Very well done. 6. The rosemary bun was 19988/10. Both salty and sweet! I also expected the pastries to be a little warmer but overall I'd go back for the rosemary buns! read more

Panaderia Rosetta is one of the most popular and well-known bakeries in Mexico City. It's located in the La Condesa/Roma area and is run by chef Elena Reygadas who also runs Restaurant Rosetta (1 Michelin Star). I read that the lines could get very long so to get there early. There were already lines forming for both dine-in and takeaway 30 minutes before opening so, likewise, I would also recommend coming early to reduce wait times. GUAVA ROLL ($75 MXN) - one of the most popular things here and I can see why. It was flakey, delicious, and our favorite of everything we tried. 5/5 VANILLA CONCHA ($60) - I had never had a concha before and it was powdery and fluffy on the inside. The closest thing to it that I can describe is it's like a Chinese pineapple bun. 4/5 CARDAMOM ROLL ($65) - if you're a fan of cardamom this is the pastry for you. It had strong cardamom flavors and I guess I'm not the biggest fan of how woody it tasted but it was not my thing. 3/5 DULCE DE LECHE BUN ($55) - of everything we ordered this was definitely the sweetest. It was good though but if you're not the biggest sweet tooth it might be too much. 4/5 LEMON, MERINGUE, AND RASPBERRY TART ($120) - after the vast amount of sweetness from the other desserts the tartness from this was very welcomed. 4.5/5 For drinks I ordered the cafe de olla ($70) which was sweet and cinnamony. I also tried the latte ($70) which was okay. It's worth a visit because of the pastries that are loved by both tourists and locals. read more
Cute spot. Very popular. Appreciates they had English menus. Their Guava pastry is DIVINE. Flaky, airy, crunchy deliciousness. Oat milk latte was also delicious. Come early to grab to go and walk around the neighborhood. I stopped a second morning to sit down at the bar and had their potato focaccia with a fried egg. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad either. Service at the both the counter and bar were great. Definitely a must stop and try since it's so popular. read more
Almost always a line for takeout but moves fast. Guava roll is still bomb. Newly discovered their lavender tres leche cake and rosemary roll, which had a surprising sweetness. Tarragon roll was interesting but preferred the flavor of rosemary personally. Ham and manchego croissant sandwich was nice, not heavy as the croissant was so light and airy. Tried the chocolate and spice cookies, a little dry. The puerquitos were adorable and also kinda a spice cookie? Will definitely be back to try more of their laminated pastries and maybe cakes - the berry mille feuille was stunning. Sandwiches and meals looked good as well. Hard to get a seat here - try the other location even though it's much smaller and may have a smaller menu/selection, or come during off-hours. read more
The morning I arrived in Mexico City after a brief nap,the very 1st place I headed to was the world famous Mexico City Bakery-Rosetta located in Roma Norte.This Bakery is owned by Elena Reygadas,who was voted World Best Female Chef in 2023.I was very excited to go to her bakery. This bakery is located in the super trendy tourist friendly neighborhood of Roma Norte-it's such a beautiful walk,the neighborhood is full of trees and fun people,it's an amazing location. Once we arrived we saw a pretty long line but I found out that was for takeout-the hostess told me a table was available if I wanted to dine in.Once at my table,after looking over the menu,ordering the pastry that made this bakery famous was a no brainer-I had to order the guava pastry($75 Pesos)-we also got a chorizo and egg torta($140 Pesos),along with a mocha($70 Pesos) for me and a Cafe de Olla ($70 Pesos)coffee drink for the wifey. The guava pastry was everything I'd hoped for-crunchy on the inside and sweet on the inside,which was contrasted by the surprising ricotta cheese on the inside as well-it was a home run-I will for sure get another to go before I leave Mexico City. The other items were just ok,Torta was pretty average and I don't have a palette for Cafe De Olla coffee drink-but then there was my mocha-I've been in Mexico City for multiple days now since being at Rosetta and it's still the best coffee I've had in the city-that mocha was perfect-for sure they had to use a chocolate they do not use back home in California-it was so good-I'm hoping to have it again before I leave the city. In closing,I would 100% recommend visiting this bakery and trying their guava pastry if u ever find yourself in Mexico City-it's 100% worth the visit to Roma Norte neighborhood all by itself.Its so freaking good. read more
I visited here one evening, there was no line at night, and ordered at the counter. There were some tables outside but we just grabbed a pastry and walked on. I tried the guava roll twice on my visit, once from the main store and another time at a cafe that was serving rolls from this bakery. The guava roll is like a cream cheese danish with a delicious guava jam on top. The filling is really good, but unfortunately the pastry itself is kind of dry. It just doesn't seem too fresh, which is disappointing because the filling was great. read more
Probably the most famous bakery in Mexico City....for foreigners. Like others have said, their pastries are indeed delicious, and there are indeed other local bakeries with just as delicious baked goods for a little less of your hard earned crumb. That being said I'd say if you're in the area, go check'em out! Arriving on a Saturday morning around 9:30am, I had a feeling it'd be crowded and as we walked down the block we could see the line. We got behind about 30 other people for the take-out line and waited about 15 minutes by the time we got to the front. Not too bad, they really hustle here with 3 registers ringing up simultaneously. Staff will hand you menus when there are a handful of people left in front of you. If you take your time making decisions I suggest looking up the menu in advance bc when you get to the front they expect you to be ready with your order pronto. After placing and paying for your order you stand outside and what for your receipt number to be called. It took about we minutes 7-8 minutes for our order. There looked to be a separate wait for seating, inside the restaurant, seemed that you needed to put down and name and wait for a table. While the bakery is best known for their pastries, they also serve hot/cold breakfast entrees, sandwiches, soft serve, cookies, loaves of bread, cakes and a selection of beverages. (Of course their sister restaurant is known for Italian food, you'll definitely need reservations well in advance there!) I tried: - guava roll $70*: muy delicioso! so good I learned two words in Spanish to describe it jkjk. Though it was really quite good--it's kinda like a danish, properly laminated lightly crisp layered exterior edges, buttery insides with fresh guava and cheese filling. - hoja santa concha $55: I liked the light grassy herbal flavor in the baked sweetened topping that reminded me a bit of Chinese grass jelly or Mediterranean mastiha. The concha texture itself was ok, fluffy and welll-risen, though very slightly dry. I feel like my expectations are based on mostly Asian or French-style pastries, so with my limited experience eating concha, it was hard for me to know if that texture was correct. - cardamom roll $65: a little different than the knotted Scandinavian version often found in other bakeries, their version is shaped like a regular cinnamon roll, with latticed icing drizzled on top. Fair amount of spicy cardamom flavor, moist dough, delicately crisp exterior texture--I enjoyed it. - latte $65 with oatmilk +$15. Well brewed, nice foam, went well with pastries. Visited Panadería Rosetta and had a great experience overall. There was about a 25 minute wait, but it was definitely worth it. We ordered the ciabatta sandwich with turkey, goat cheese, and pesto, along with a kombucha and a pan de guayaba. The ciabatta was really delicious, perfectly crisp without being tough. We tried it with a few of their hot sauces, which weren't overly spicy but added a really nice savory kick. The kombucha paired well with everything and felt refreshing alongside the meal. To finish, we had the pan de guayaba, which is one of their standout pastries and it absolutely lived up to the hype. A perfect sweet ending. Really amazing spot, some of the best pastries we've had in a long time. We got a variety of items to split, but everything was amazing. The sesame-chocolate pastry was particularly my favorite, will be thinking about that one for a long time! The line can get wildly long, but when we went when it first opened, it was quite manageable. It does not move super quickly, either, so I'd time your visit accordingly. Truly amazing pastries - there will likely be a wait but the lines move quickly if you just want to pick up and go. My favorite was definitely the guava roll. One thing to note: don't get their coffee as those aren't good. They rush the orders to get the lines moving and the coffee wasn't hot enough. read more
Panadería Rosetta totally lived up to the hype--and then some. We got very lucky and were seated indoors in under 5 minutes, even though we were initially warned it could be a 30-minute wait. A win right out of the gate. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Standouts (though honestly, nothing missed): the potato & provolone focaccia (savory, comforting perfection), blueberry lavender scone, corn & ricotta pound cake, the famous guava roll (worth the hype!), a puerquito cookie, and the banana & mole tamal--such a unique and memorable bite. Drinks were just as impressive: matcha latte, mezquite latte, a seasonal guava atole (don't skip this if it's available), and a super refreshing carrot-ginger-jicama juice. Our whole family found something to love. The space itself is charming--cozy, country-cottage vibes with an open, industrial-style kitchen that makes the whole experience feel warm and inviting. Despite the constant long lines, service was prompt, courteous, and impressively efficient. If you're in Roma, this spot is a must. Come hungry, be patient if there's a wait, and trust that whatever you order will be fantastic. read more
Beautiful cafe/restaurant, inside and out. Even the waiting area was beautiful. The menu had different options: pastries, huevos, and more. I got a hot honey latte with oat milk, which was good! Not super sweet, but just sweet enough for me. To eat I got roasted potatoes and fried eggs Rosemary and provolone focaccia. This was yummy as well! Nothing super flavorful but it did the trick for breakfast. Overall, a great spot to check out to start the day. read more
Yah... worth every bite. So much so that I went twice! There's obviously a long line- seems like every tourist has heard about the guava roll. We decided to grab a "snack" from the to-go line while waiting for a table to open up so we could order properly (and we really wanted to sit in their cute dining area for some pics!... indoor and outdoor were both ) I ended up with a hot chocolate, hoja Santa concha, pan de elote, and a cheese tamale. The hot chocolate was so decadent- truly the best I've ever had. When it cooled down, I asked them to warm it back up, and they happily did! The concha was nothing special, just a bit dry, but the pan de elote? I wish I'd ordered ten more to take home. I miss it already! The tamale was a perfect bite if you want something heavier on the side for breakfast. The staff is fast, efficient, and super polite- especially impressive considering they're dealing with a sea of tourists. read more
Overhyped on social media for sure. Fine pastries, and we did all agree the guava roll was indeed a standout. But fine pastires isn't exactly high praise. What was high, however, were their prices, especially for cake slices. Piecing together what line you were supposed to be in seemed unnecessarily chaotic and complicated. Meanwhile, we felt obscenely rushed once we finally managed to navigate to a register. Staff seemed to be actively unfriendly, irritated, and exhausted. There are so many good bakeries in CDMX, I feel like this is an obligatory tourist stop, but temper your expectations. read more
Definitely lives up the hype. When I arrived lines were making quickly- I didn't have more than a five minute wait. Staff was very friendly and took the time to tell me their favorite pastry. They have lovely outside seating. I recommend getting there on the earlier side. read more
The pastries are phenomenal, you really cannot go wrong with any of the items. The line is a tad long, but it goes by fast if you are not waiting for a table and open to taking the food to go. The guava roll had the right amount of sweetness to it, and the chocolate roll was tasty. If waiting for a table, the ambiance looks nice with wonderful plants. read more
Really cute spot! Def overhyped though I still reccomend because it's cute, and I thought the breads (savory) were good along with the Amaranth Pan au Chocolat. I would skip the iced coffees.. and the Guava roll. Was not worth it in my opinion, and I lovee guava and cheese! Service was really quick and the workers are very helpful! read more
Sometimes places live up to the hype. While I didn't try much I tried the one thing that everyone said was a must get in CDMX. The guava pastry at Rosetta. It delivered. It over delivered. It was delicious. It was buttery. It was flavorful. It was everything I needed it to be. There was a line around 10am and I imagine there's always a line in the morning. It moves really well and the anticipation mixed with watching people take pictures of their treats makes time go by fast. I also ordered a hot chocolate because 1) I don't drink coffee and 2) why not. The hot chocolate was really good and while I had already eaten my pastry it was the perfect compliment. I will always go to this place when I'm in town and I would probably go multiple times now that I know how good the pastry is. Didn't try anything else and certainly don't feel like I needed to. read more
Came on a Friday morning. Everyone says come early but I could not bring myself to get out of bed. Got here around 9:45 am. The line was massive as I expected but it went by soooo fast. They are truly efficient with getting you in and out if you're planning on ordering take out. I ordered a chai latte, roast beef sandwich, cinnamon roll, and of course the infamous guava roll. Everything was delicious I have zero complaints. And I totally understand why everyone says get the guava roll. Pastries were cold when they gave them to me but I heated them up in my hotel room and they were so flaky and sweet and just perfect. Roast beef sandwich had a nice flavor, and I enjoyed my chai latte as well. Definitely coming back to get one more guava roll before heading home! read more
