It's good. I didn't incur too much of a wait, and I went on a weekday at about 10 am, maybe waited 2-3 minutes? If you want a table you have to wait longer. I suggest you get your items and hoof it over to the park to people watch. I got the beet juice- fabulous, a latte, excellent, the guava roll- duh, and something new which was a coconut y pina berlinesa, DEEEEEELISH. 10/10 on everything.
Top quality bakery with a great variety of breads, pastries and other baked goods. It is always busy but getting an order to go is just about 10-15 minutes. I tried the special guava pastry and dulce de leche pastry, which were both excellent and unique. The chocolate conche was good too. Good coffee. Definitely stop by here if you like pastries. They speak English and have English menus. The pay by card line is the fastest. I came here twice because I had to go again before going back home. One of my favorite bakeries ever!
Yummy guava roll! But pretty overhyped and i do think there are better pastries in Mexico City! But if you happen to pass one, go in and grab a coffee roll and a cortado :)
Panadería Rosetta has a lot of hype around the guava roll, and honestly, that is well deserved! The guava roll was the best pastry I've had in Mexico, though going to be completely transparent Mexican pastries aren't usually my favorite because I tend to find a lot of them dry. The guava roll was amazing though! Highly recommend, and it didn't disappoint. However, everything else was pretty meh. We also got the chocolate croissant, the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and a latte. They were decent. Not horrible, but nothing spectacular.
Panaderia Rosetta is one of those bakeries in Mexico City that people say is a must have. Guava rolls are the thing to get, but their other pastries are really good as well. Guava rolls are a flaky pastry topped with a nice cheese and a generous amount of guava preserves. Being from Southern California, it is impossible to not compare it to Porto's guava cheese strudel. The difference is that Rosetta's version is larger, more flaky, has more guava and cheese. I also liked their "pastry cream ocho". It's named because the pastry is baked into a figure eight and it's filled to the brim with their vanilla bean pastry cream. In the cream you could see flecks of vanilla bean, and it has the taste of a very custardy egg tart. I got a massively huge vanilla concha here, but I wasn't really a fan. It was massive, but it gave me nutty vibes. Wife did feel it was elevated compared to many we have had. For coffee, my wife had a single origin drip coffee from Veracruz. I went with their spice forward cafe de olla. We each loved our picks. She liked smoothness and the acidity of her coffee. Mine was a flavor bomb. This is a very good bakery and it is worth coming to. We came at 8am to get there before the crowds. If all you want is the guava roll, you might have luck getting it without the line at their cafe nin.
Panaderia Rosetta is considered the best bakery in all of Mexico. There's always a line for take out, though it moves fairly quickly, expect waits of up to 20 minutes. Seating at the restaurant is hard to come by though. Many items do run out during the day so arrive early for best selection! Guava pastry - The buttery and flaky pastry with a slightly sweet guava filling is the star of the show here. It tastes incredible and sells out quickly. Cardamom roll - This is their other signature item consisting of a roll beautifully laminated, aromatic with strong cardamom spices. Tiramisu - This espresso soaked treat combines with mascarpone cheese to create a truly exceptional tiramisu that is bold, flavorful and not soggy! Bombolini - This was a lightly sugar coated donut type pastry but it was pillowy soft on the inside with a a pastry cream. It was well executed. Overall all the baked goods here are exceptional! Get here early or you'll miss out on the better items. There are plenty of parks in the immediate vicinity, which provides the perfect place to and enjoy these heavenly treats.
Panaderia Rosetta is one of the most popular and well-known bakeries in Mexico City. It's located in the La Condesa/Roma area and is run by chef Elena Reygadas who also runs Restaurant Rosetta (1 Michelin Star). I read that the lines could get very long so to get there early. There were already lines forming for both dine-in and takeaway 30 minutes before opening so, likewise, I would also recommend coming early to reduce wait times. GUAVA ROLL ($75 MXN) - one of the most popular things here and I can see why. It was flakey, delicious, and our favorite of everything we tried. 5/5 VANILLA CONCHA ($60) - I had never had a concha before and it was powdery and fluffy on the inside. The closest thing to it that I can describe is it's like a Chinese pineapple bun. 4/5 CARDAMOM ROLL ($65) - if you're a fan of cardamom this is the pastry for you. It had strong cardamom flavors and I guess I'm not the biggest fan of how woody it tasted but it was not my thing. 3/5 DULCE DE LECHE BUN ($55) - of everything we ordered this was definitely the sweetest. It was good though but if you're not the biggest sweet tooth it might be too much. 4/5 LEMON, MERINGUE, AND RASPBERRY TART ($120) - after the vast amount of sweetness from the other desserts the tartness from this was very welcomed. 4.5/5 For drinks I ordered the cafe de olla ($70) which was sweet and cinnamony. I also tried the latte ($70) which was okay. It's worth a visit because of the pastries that are loved by both tourists and locals.
Cute spot. Very popular. Appreciates they had English menus. Their Guava pastry is DIVINE. Flaky, airy, crunchy deliciousness. Oat milk latte was also delicious. Come early to grab to go and walk around the neighborhood. I stopped a second morning to sit down at the bar and had their potato focaccia with a fried egg. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad either. Service at the both the counter and bar were great. Definitely a must stop and try since it's so popular.
Almost always a line for takeout but moves fast. Guava roll is still bomb. Newly discovered their lavender tres leche cake and rosemary roll, which had a surprising sweetness. Tarragon roll was interesting but preferred the flavor of rosemary personally. Ham and manchego croissant sandwich was nice, not heavy as the croissant was so light and airy. Tried the chocolate and spice cookies, a little dry. The puerquitos were adorable and also kinda a spice cookie? Will definitely be back to try more of their laminated pastries and maybe cakes - the berry mille feuille was stunning. Sandwiches and meals looked good as well. Hard to get a seat here - try the other location even though it's much smaller and may have a smaller menu/selection, or come during off-hours.
I visited here one evening, there was no line at night, and ordered at the counter. There were some tables outside but we just grabbed a pastry and walked on. I tried the guava roll twice on my visit, once from the main store and another time at a cafe that was serving rolls from this bakery. The guava roll is like a cream cheese danish with a delicious guava jam on top. The filling is really good, but unfortunately the pastry itself is kind of dry. It just doesn't seem too fresh, which is disappointing because the filling was great.
The morning I arrived in Mexico City after a brief nap,the very 1st place I headed to was the world famous Mexico City Bakery-Rosetta located in Roma Norte.This Bakery is owned by Elena Reygadas,who was voted World Best Female Chef in 2023.I was very excited to go to her bakery. This bakery is located in the super trendy tourist friendly neighborhood of Roma Norte-it's such a beautiful walk,the neighborhood is full of trees and fun people,it's an amazing location. Once we arrived we saw a pretty long line but I found out that was for takeout-the hostess told me a table was available if I wanted to dine in.Once at my table,after looking over the menu,ordering the pastry that made this bakery famous was a no brainer-I had to order the guava pastry($75 Pesos)-we also got a chorizo and egg torta($140 Pesos),along with a mocha($70 Pesos) for me and a Cafe de Olla ($70 Pesos)coffee drink for the wifey. The guava pastry was everything I'd hoped for-crunchy on the inside and sweet on the inside,which was contrasted by the surprising ricotta cheese on the inside as well-it was a home run-I will for sure get another to go before I leave Mexico City. The other items were just ok,Torta was pretty average and I don't have a palette for Cafe De Olla coffee drink-but then there was my mocha-I've been in Mexico City for multiple days now since being at Rosetta and it's still the best coffee I've had in the city-that mocha was perfect-for sure they had to use a chocolate they do not use back home in California-it was so good-I'm hoping to have it again before I leave the city. In closing,I would 100% recommend visiting this bakery and trying their guava pastry if u ever find yourself in Mexico City-it's 100% worth the visit to Roma Norte neighborhood all by itself.Its so freaking good.
Visited Panadería Rosetta and had a great experience overall. There was about a 25 minute wait, but it was definitely worth it. We ordered the ciabatta sandwich with turkey, goat cheese, and pesto, along with a kombucha and a pan de guayaba. The ciabatta was really delicious, perfectly crisp without being tough. We tried it with a few of their hot sauces, which weren't overly spicy but added a really nice savory kick. The kombucha paired well with everything and felt refreshing alongside the meal. To finish, we had the pan de guayaba, which is one of their standout pastries and it absolutely lived up to the hype. A perfect sweet ending. Overall, a great experience and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to.
Well in CDMX this past week we of course had to go to the famous Panaderia Rosetta! We opted to go on a weekday morning to see if we could avoid some of the crowds, which sorta worked. They seem to have a great system down, with option to dine in or wait in line for take out. We ended up getting in the takeout line and were in front within about five minutes, they had multiple registers going, so again definitely efficient! So much so, I didn't really get to peruse the menu much, but I knew I wanted to get the guava cheese pastry, so along with that, two cappuccinos, a green juice and their savory potato focaccia, we were off. We had to wait about five minutes for our name to be called. We enjoyed everything, but as many have said the guava cheese roll was really the star. I love guava, I love cheese, I love bread/croissants, so really it hit all the marks! Everything else was fresh and good, but I'm not sure if noteworthy. I'd definitely return and consider dining in and enjoying more of their breakfast menu on our next visit! & of course get a guava cheese croissant or two. read more
We stumbled upon this well known hipster bakery and decided to give it a try. It's located in La Roma, a contemporary and trendy area of Mexico City. There was a line to order, you look at the menu, place your order, pay, and then wait for them to call your name. They also offer drinks like coffee and kombucha. I ordered the famous roll de guayaba (a croissant with a guava center). It was good, but not outstanding. The corn muffin, however, was very moist and delicious. The puerquito wasn't great, and the crema pastelera empanada was just okay. Service was wonderful, and overall it's a nice spot to check out if you're exploring the neighborhood. read more
Yes, there are lines here, but don't be discouraged! They move super fast and are totally worth it. This place is more than just a bakery; they also have fantastic breakfast options. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, the maíz concha, the guava roll, the mesquite latte, and the clementine juice, every single item was phenomenal! Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. I loved it so much that I came back a second time and even took pastries back to my Airbnb (and then home!). We had a delightful light breakfast here. The vibe is cottage core but also 1920s - a mix of industrial, throwback, and whimsy. There is low, soft lighting, large mirrors, imperfect plastering on the walls - it does not look like most restaurants and it feels special. The pastries were also excellent. The guava roll was just as good as everyone says - the exterior is super flaky and the interior is gooey and rich and wonderful. The corn ricotta pound cake was surprising. It tasted almost like a very dense corn pudding. My partner loved the concha although I thought it was a tad dry. I was afraid to try the coffee because of some of the reviews, but my mocha was made with very high quality chocolate and was delicious. read more
Be ready to wait in line for seats either indoors or outside. Their guava roll is their specialty. Doc tried 4 items on the menu. I ordered oatmeal with blueberries and almonds, a cinnamon roll and a hot chocolate. The cashier who serviced the counter forgot to bring the lavender tres leche so we asked to cancel but she brought it out then. Although the line of customers waiting to get a table never ceased, they didn't chase you out so you could leisurely enjoy your breakfast. read more

Very popular bakery in Mexico City! The interior and patio area are beautifully designed with a cozy, cottage-meets-nature vibe -- lots of charm and a really inviting atmosphere. Even though the place was packed and the line was pretty long, it moved surprisingly fast, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. I grabbed a vegan cookie and loved it -- perfectly sweet, great texture, and had an assortment of tree nuts in it. They also have a really nice selection of pastries overall, so it's a great spot whether you're vegan or not. My friends enjoyed their other pastries (guava, fruit cake, and a croissant). Definitely worth a stop if you are in Roma Norte! read more

I was so excited to try this place after seeing so many videos and pics of all of the pastries. Got there right before 11 am and the place was packed. However even with a line out the door I was able to get to the register and get my items within 10 mins. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the guava roll, a chocolate concha, this ricotta roll and a double espresso. Wow just wow the pastries were SO GOOD. 10/10 recommend if you've been considering it or need another reason to visit CDMX. read more

Pandareria Rosetta was recommended to us by our tour guide on our taco tour. I was weary of trying the bakery because we had dinner at Rosetta the night before, which was just OK. I'm glad we gave the place a shot, because the pastries and cakes we got were worth it. My husband and I stopped by the pandareria around 6pm on a Saturday. I was surprised to see a line down the block, but it actually moved quickly. I noticed that there were people who were standing around for a table or their coffee orders, and others like us who were there to grab some food and go. We ordered 4 items including their guava pastry, dulce de leche bread, chocolate mousse cake, and layered raspberry puff pastry that reminded me of a Napoleon. Their guava pastry and chocolate mousse were amazing. Definite favorites of the 4. The guava pastry was flaky and buttery, but the best part was the jammy guava and cream filling. The chocolate mousse had a lovely feuilletine crust. Loved the delicate mousse, which was rich and decadent. The dulce de leche bread was good. The sign of a good choux is its lightness and airiness, which the caramel bread certainly had. The dulce de leche tasted more like cajeta to me (made with goat's milk instead of cow's milk). The Napoleon type of dessert was my least favorite, but it was well made. The berries were fresh, and the cream filling was silky. Just wasn't a fan of the dry crust. read more

This hybrid French-Mexican bakery with an upscale and elegant atmosphere gets super busy each morning. It was rather mobbed when I rolled up just before 10AM on a Friday. It looked to be a tourist mess for the dine-in experience which signaled a big "NOPE" from me. Thankfully, the line I stood in by happenstance ended up being the takeout-only line because ain't nobody got no time for that. I ordered their much beloved guayaba/ guava roll and a concha because why not? There was some serious analysis paralysis at the front though because it smelled incredibly YUMMY and all the bread and pastries looked simply divine. The concha ended up being as dry as a concha can be and, on that note, do not order this without a coffee drink to dip it in. The guayaba roll, on the other hand, was pure bliss. I enjoyed this in a nearby park and snacked on it during different parts of the day. The pastries are huge, so while you will be tempted to order everything, DO get the guayaba roll and maybe one other pastry to ensure maximum enjoyment and avoid that saccharine slump as a result of sweetness overload. Busy it may be, but a worthy stop for some pastries it is. read more
The rol de guayaba was phenomenal and arguably the best pastry I had in CDMX. Focacia was stellar, matcha was earthy and balanced. Service was quick even with the line outside the door. Waited only about 10-15 minutes to order and get our food/drinks. Outdoor patio seating was packed when we got there so get here with time to spare if you want to eat here! read more
Yall. Oh my goodness. Love this place. Okay I was on a trip and was recommended to check this place out, especially because I LOVE cheese and guava pastries. It did not disappoint! We ended up ordering one for there while we sat and had our breakfast and then ordered 2 more plus other pastries to go. My croque madame was perfect! Our coffees were good. The service was great. They were so patient with us, especially when we were deciding which totes we wanted to buy. They brought them all out for us to decide which was nice of them, we were a little indecisive because they were all so cute. I use my tote all the time! Check them out! I tried this bakery during my stay in Mexico City, it's located in Roma Norte which was a 5 min walk from our Airbnb we stayed at. It's a very lively area and there are two different locations both close to each other. We accidentally went to the smaller location in Roma Norte and they were sold out of the guava pastry I wanted to try. I went to the second bigger (main) location & they had it. It was delicious!! I paired it with a Mexican tea and every bite was amazing. The vibes are so cutesy and calming. The service was good, slow paced and they don't rush you. I would recommend to get a reservation or else the wait can be 1-2 hours during prime time and weekends. This place deserves every single great review they get! A must-try when in Mexico City!!! read more

Pastry did live up to the hype and was good, and I don't think this is specific to the bakery but more so in Mexico City but there were lots of flies and bees around (which seems inevitable with all the pastries). Would definitely try more of their pastries next time though! read more

This is a must visit elegant upscale bakery in Mexico City. There are several locations throughout the city. The pastries were unique and delicious and their espresso drinks were also fabulous . There will likely be a line but it's all worth it ( don't worry it moves quickly ). Highly recommend a stop here when traveling to this beautiful city. read more

The line halfway around the block and forty people deep explained why this place is so popular. We thuggee it out and managed to get something easy. Just two capuchinos and two donuts. Other customers had to wait for a while if they wanted to get real food or the best pastries. The line wasn't that bad, and the live violinist kept us all entertained. We grabbed our donuts and cappuccinos and rolled out, because there was nowhere to sit. Even the little bike racks along the street were taken. The donuts and cappuccinos were fantastic. I think I will make a special trip later on during the week to see if the cafe stays this busy all of the time. read more

A cutesty cafe that seems to attract a lot of tourists. Don't be detoured by the tons of instagramming tourists because they're raving about Panaderia Rosetta for a reason! There are tons of options ranging from bread to fruit filled pastries. We enjoyed every pastry we tried, and will definitely be returning! read more
A great stop for pastry and sandwiches that can't be missed. We'd heard so much about the famous guava roll here and we were not disappointed at all, pastry was soft and flaky and the guava center packed a punch. We got a ham sandwich on a ciabatta roll here as well which was fresh and delicious. They had various bottled juices at the front that were super tasty too. Lines can get long here. At first we put in our name for seating but it ended up being faster to just wait in line and grab our food to go, not a ton of seating around but we made it work. A worthwhile stop if you are in the area. read more

After checking out Rosetta, how could I not check out their bakery? I appreciate how late the bakery opens, almost like dessert part 2 after the dinner. I enjoyed the vibes inside very much with the wall having all the different menu items written on it. We opted for a Rol De Guayaba and it was delicious! The croissant was nice and flaky, not overly buttery or dense. The guava was also very light and you could taste the fruit chunks in it. The cream cheese was also not super overpowering. Honestly I usually find this dessert too sweet but I appreciate Rosetta really letting the flavors shine through. I will definitely be back to try more of their other menu items. read more

This bakery is very very popular and for good reason! It was very delicious and affordable. Option for dine in or take away. We chose to take away and eat at a local park which was perfectly located around the corner. Definitely try the guava roll and the vanilla concha. There wasn't a line at 9:30 on a Tuesday but I'd imagine it gets very busy. The ambiance was soo beautiful. The inside is like you stepped back in time in the best way possible. read more

Even though I try not to visit the total gringo places in CDMX, that plan fails when it comes to Panadería Rosetta. That's because I am a sucker for good pastry, especially their guava roll, which is one of their signature pastries. This time around, I found the place just as bustling as it was two years ago, and given that it was a weekday, every patron in my radius was non-Mexican and speaking English. But that's about the politics of today's travel and global economies. As far as the food and presentation go, the quality was not lost, and I am still on the hook. read more

We stopped by Pandaria Rosetta after dining at its Michelin-starred sister restaurant, Rosetta, and I'm so glad we did. This little pastry shop is adorable--the handwritten menu on the wall, the cozy atmosphere, the smell of fresh pastries--it's the perfect place to sip a coffee and catch up with a friend. If I were a local, I'd definitely be here all the time. Guava Cheese Pastry - I believe that this is one of their signature items. It was generously sized and really tasty. The guava and cheese flavors came through beautifully, and I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet. My only wish? That it had a bit more crispiness--I think if I'd eaten it fresh out of the oven, it would've been next-level. Overall, a lovely experience and I'd absolutely come back to try more pastries! read more
There's no mystery why this is one of the more popular bakeries in CDMX! My husband and I stopped by around 9:30 for an assortment of pastries for a quick breakfast before making our way to Xochimilco for our next event. The guava pastry was my husbands favorite thing and definitely a crowd pleaser! The service is quick and fast! While the line may look intimidating it does move fast so don't leave! Unless you're getting a table with the hostess seating is limited around/in the bakery so you may have to find a bench near the bakery! read more
We had to get panaderia Rosetta off our checklist on our trip to CDMX! We were not shocked to see the long line outside. The wait for a table was about 20 mins so we decided to just grab and go. We tried the pineapple pastry and the famous Mexican concha. I wasn't a big fan of the pineapple filling but the pastry was flaky and tasty. I loved the concha too, although I don't fully understand the hype around it. The ambience was open, sunny and chic, with plenty of outside seating. There were so many food options, we were overwhelmed by the choices. I will definitely be back to try out more! read more
We arrived 15 minutes after opening on Saturday morning and there was already a wait. Definitely get the guava and cardamom roll! Can't go wrong with a flaky pastry and bold flavors! The fig berliner was very light and fluffy. We thought the perquito had something to do with a pig with its shape but there wasn't any pork like product or taste: just tasted like a soft cookie and not a great one at that. We rounded out or meal with the soft boiled eggs with chive butter and rye sourdough. Ok, but nothing to write home about. We also a flat white and latte to wash it down. The foam was so pretty! The standouts here are the pastries: specifically the guava and cardamom roll. read more

Have to always stop by Panaderia Rosetta! The lines can be long but if you go at the right time it's really worth it. It's my second time going and just as good at the first! Too hyped up. I don't like my pastry or sandwich cold :( am I being too difficult? Guava Roll - the jam was very good but the pasty itself just didn't have a fresh texture. Sandwich were all premade so they served it cold, thick layer of cheese were just solid form. For the price I didn't think it's worth it. We've had other better pastries in CDMX during our visit. Still worth a visit though because why not but don't expect it the best in CDMX. read more

This bakery is a must if you're in CDMX! Of course, they're known for their guava pastry, and it's famous for a reason. But what really surprised me was the pork confit sandwich with tomatillo and salsa macha--absolutely unforgettable. I'm still thinking about it!! Be prepared for a line though as it can get long, but it moves quickly and is 100% worth the wait. Would come back in a heartbeat. read more
