Five Stars for this wonderful bakery !!!! Lived in Miami for many years, and this bakery, although small in size, makes some of the best Media Noche I have ever had. Bread and Cubano sandwich are awesome. Or take home a roasted leg of pork (Paleta) sold by the pound, on Saturday or Sunday. Great Spanish desserts as well.

    Amazing Cuban bakery and sandwiches!

Granted I was there late in the evening and perhaps the pastries were out too long, more guayaba!

I had a Guava and Queso and a Guava pastellito and they were perfect. Gooey filling not all pastry and they were not dried out. The Cuban bread was HUGE, flaky but not dried. Of course the experience is pointless without some Cafe con Leche. Unless you need a serous caffeine fix, order a medium or small. They are very generous. FYI, they also have great prices. $1.25 and 60 cents hah! I bought them by the dozen. Last time I was in Miami it was easily 3 times that and not as good. This is truly a Hidden gem. So instead of donuts for the office, come by and get a couple dozen, and you will be the office Hero!

Ultimately they're a great addition for the neighborhood and I appreciate the offerings more than this review can express (#1). The store might be small, but the variety they offer in their displays is nothing short of impressive. In addition to the seasonal decor, there is a smattering of chairs and tables for small groups. It smells good almost all the time, which emblematic of its name (#2) I love their cakes. The display is filled with seasonal goodness and so many variations of trees leches. They all look incredible and the other non-cake pastries look vast, colorful, and tasty. __________ (#1) Any option is better than no option. (#2) Otherwise known as "sugar" in Spanish.

I also ordered their strawberry lemonade, which had a thicker consistency for juice. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. Their drinks are solid. I tried the Cuban sandwich, which was okay in my opinion. As I dove right into it, the pork flavor was interesting & every few pieces of the outer meat were a tad bit hard. When I ate it later for dinner though, the sandwich tasted so much better for some reason. Lol maybe cuz everything was marinating and softening idk. It's good, but I wouldn't order this sandwich again. I prefer chicken. I tried some of my dad's fricasa de cerdo. Loved it! Reminded me of a stew, but I would not drink the whole bowl because it is on the saltier side. It was served extra hot, and the chicken was tender. For the sides, my dad got the fried ripe plantains (sweet and soft) and the fried yucca sticks (tastes like potatoes - crispy on the outside), which paired nicely with a garlic sauce. Service was great! They are very warm and kind to their customers. I highlyyyy recommend this place to anyone looking for good Cuban cuisine. It's never too busy or loud when we go. Plenty of parking!

Authentic Dominican/Caribbean food in Willowbrook. Who knew?…read more I remember this place from a birthday party decades ago. The space was a bit bigger (they've since redesigned it smaller), but the crowds were smaller. Success hasn't tarnished their food. It was a very rainy and soggy afternoons and the place was packed. We managed a table and ordered. Can't go wrong with the delicious shrimp mofongo. I honestly think the sauce is the icing on that cake, made all the more delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Whew! Service was fast and dinner came out at a reasonable pace. The owner is so friendly and stopped by our table to make sure things were good. Better than good! If you're in the Willowbrook area do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little steep, but what's isn't these days?

I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent. The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break), There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it's in located along other stores.
