Enjoyed our lunch at this cute Cuban location. Nice and clean and bright. We enjoyed our food with a few exceptions. The meat and rice were well seasoned. However the yucca both fried and con mojo lacked flavor. I had the pernil asado and it was moist and well seasoned. I also enjoy my congris but was a little disappointed when I had to salt my yucca con mojo bc it lacked flavor. It just tasted like boiled yucca. That would be my only complaint in regard to the food. The service started off good and they were very friendly. However it took forever to get our check as it seemed like there were only 2 waitresses but only one of them could take orders and produce the bill. It would be better not to have to wait so long when you're ready to go. With that being said I would still come back! read more

Bravo! Family lunch after church this past Sunday 12-15-24. The decor and ambience is great. Nice big tables, warm colors, tropical, feels like you're in Miami calle ocho. The food was delicious, wait staff courteous, just spectacular. The Cuban sampler with the tamale was superb as was the pernil and everything else. We were in the area on business and decided to check this place out. We tried a few things The Cuban sampler, and Tamales De Elote. We had a Cafe Cubano Martini and El Patron "The Boss" the plantain chips were so very good, as was all of the food we ordered and the cocktails. Another amazing birthday lunch. Outside the mojito, I didn't take pictures. But my Cuban-born mother-in-law had Pernil Asado. She loved it and I had a bite of the most tender and juicy pork ever. My husband had the Sandwich de Ropa Vieja. The sandwich was great. The French fries, meh. I had the Camerones Enchilados, and everything was perfect. The owner came over to talk to my MIL. Heard about this place and tried it on a Sunday afternoon. So glad we did. We started with the cuban sampler appetizer platter, which had a little of everything. The empanadas were my favorite. To drink I had the guava batido which is a delicious blended icy guava flavored loveliness. My husband had the Ropa Vieja as his main and I had the Masitas de puerco. Service and Ambiance was very nice. My mom had the Picadillo Cubano that she thought was very good. On the other hand I had the Sandwich Cubano and it tasted like yesterday's meat. We were there for lunch at 11 am on Friday since we heard a lot of good things. The place is very pretty! Down to the dishes, the place is very nice. The service was top notch, too. Now, the food! We had fried yuca and Piccadilo empanadas as starters both of which were wonderful. The table came with fresh toasted bread with garlic aïoli... yum! Between the three of us we had ropa vieja, a fried chicken cutlet, and some roasted pork both of which I forgot the name of but it was ALL PERFECT! The sides of caramelized plantain, Congri, black beans, salad and rice were all spot on. They have a well appointed bar so I guess they do a nice dinner time party atmosphere. We were there for lunch and drank water out of really pretty glasses. Prices are just a little higher than I wish, but that won't keep us from returning soon and often. Havana Heights is a great place to relax and have a nice dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to modifying a dish. My wife loved the fried pork chunks in with white rice and maduros (sweet plantains) There's a nice bar there. The mojitos looked good. It's on my list to try but I can't tell you that you can smell the fresh mint at the bar when they make them. And they have great Cuban coffee! BTW, there's a nice cigar shop right next so you can finish the Havana experience at home. read more

AWESOME FOOD! We tried Havana Heights tonight for the first time and it is a keeper! When you're seated, they bring toasted fresh bread with a garlic aioli spread that is delicious. Good balance of garlic and richness in the aioli. We ordered the Cuban sampler appetizer and the Asalia's platter entree that lets you get smaller portions of two appetizers. And of course, mojitos. The sampler is a lot of food itself - I don't remember everything on it, but the flautas, empanadas, (especially the beef one!) and the Tostones Relleno Ropa Vieja, along with the spicy salsa and pineapple salsa really stand out. For the platter we had the Arroz con Pollo and Ropa Vieja, both of which were fantastic. My only gripe, and it's really small, is that the bartender muddled the mint for our mojitos instead of bruising it. A member of the Bacardi family likely sensed a disturbance in the force, then turned back to a rum distribution spreadsheet with a brief shudder - but the mojito was still good and well-balanced. I had been reading great things about this place for awhile and we finally got a chance to try it. It definitely did not disappoint. It was the best Cuban food we have ever had. The service was impeccable and we felt very welcome from the moment we walked in. The decor is really nice and the restaurant is super clean. One of my husband's biggest gripes about restaurants is their beer not being cold but he was pleasantly surprised when his beer came and it was icy cold. Along with the drinks they brought some bread with a garlic aioli which were both amazing. The bread was so light and toasted to the perfect crisp around the edges. We ordered the sampler platter. Everything on it was delicious. Our favorites were the chicken empanadas which were the best we have ever had. The dough was perfectly crispy and not heavy or oily at all. The chicken flautas were our second favorite followed by the croquetas. The other items on the platter were delicious too. The creamy cilantro sauce and spicy sauce that were served with the platter were the perfect complement to the food. The spicy sauce packed a punch heat-wise but the flavor was amazing. A little goes a long way. The sampler platter was a lot of food and we couldn't even finish it so we didn't order anything else this time but we can't wait to go back and try more. read more

The Arroz con pollo and the elote tamale were phenomenal. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The decorations were nice and created a great atmosphere. It's some really authentic Cuban food, that will make you think you are in Miami. The wait staff is awesome, and the bar is well stocked. The previous enterprises at this location are all history. Service here is amazing and they're still so new. The food is delicious. You must try the Ropa Vieja and the Arroz con Pollo as well and the Cuban Sampler. The arroz con pollo doesn't look like much when you see the one small chicken drumstick but with the appetizers, sweet plantains, and flavorful rice and chicken pieces in the rice and side of black beans, you fill up quickly. Of their Batidos, I tried their Guava and it was so good and I'm not even a guava fan normally but this whole milk drink is like a smoothie with your meal. This past Saturday, they had a special soft opening with live music and dancing. Also served free hors d'oeuvres, some of which were off menu items, and free mojito samples. Wasn't a big fan of the mojito but there are plenty of other options. For a place so new, I think about a month old they said, they work incredibly hard to tend to everyone and keep a positive atmosphere.
