Another amazing birthday lunch. Outside the mojito, I didn't take pictures. But my Cuban-born mother-in-law had Pernil Asado. She loved it and I had a bite of the most tender and juicy pork ever. My husband had the Sandwich de Ropa Vieja. The sandwich was great. The French fries, meh. I had the Camerones Enchilados, and everything was perfect. The owner came over to talk to my MIL. And we got a free slice of flan, and never told them it was my birthday. I love this place so much.

Havana Heights is a great place to relax and have a nice dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to modifying a dish. My wife loved the fried pork chunks in with white rice and maduros (sweet plantains) There's a nice bar there. The mojitos looked good. It's on my list to try but I can't tell you that you can smell the fresh mint at the bar when they make them. And they have great Cuban coffee! BTW, there's a nice cigar shop right next so you can finish the Havana experience at home.

The food and service were awesome. Saturday special is $10 sangria, which was fantastic. They have a gluten free menu with several options to choose from. I had the elote tamales and my husband had shrimp in a garlic sauce. We tried their flan as well and it was the best dessert I have had in a long time. The music was a nice touch and wasn't too loud. Great atmosphere.

Food was great! Appetizers of their 3 different empanadas were delish! Entree was two of their pork dishes, equally flavorful

The smell of the fresh baked bread and goods was astronomical. It really felt like you walked into a home-cooked meal. We had a grilled cheese phenomenal. The turkey goddess really loved it and the Reuben sandwich. The staff are kind, patient, and they really seemed to value and appreciate their customers. All of their dishes, coffee, tea, bread and baked goods are made fresh, using only high quality ingredients. Harvest Bakery and Cafe make so many kinds of bread, thier specialty is their gluten free bread. There's sandwiches, salad, soup, tea cakes, scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, cake, protein/fiber bars, coffee cake, biscuits, toffee squares, it's insane! You can also purchase their famous bread, coffee mugs, tote bags, pancake mixes, brownie mixes, cornbread mix, granola mix, pickled peppers, honey, maple syrup, seasoned salts, salsa, coffee, chocolate chip cookie mix, oatmeal, spreads and dips, soup mixes, kitchen ware, soup and they even make their own dog treats! The prices are reasonable. Parking was tricky since Harvest Bakery and Cafe is packed tight in a small strip and there's not much room for cars. I loved their sandwiches. Chips don't automatically come with your meal, you got to buy them yourself. They had the best frosted lemon cake I've ever had! My dad liked the Savannah bar, but he said it was too gritty. Harvest Cafe and Bakery is only open for breakfast and lunch. I need to bring my entire family here soon.

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Mary the Manager never missed a beat - she was making it all happen and made it look effortless - with a smile on her face. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! I live in Woodlands Tx and will drive 60 miles again to eat at this place!
