Another amazing birthday lunch. Outside the mojito, I didn't take pictures. But my Cuban-born mother-in-law had Pernil Asado. She loved it and I had a bite of the most tender and juicy pork ever. My husband had the Sandwich de Ropa Vieja. The sandwich was great. The French fries, meh. I had the Camerones Enchilados, and everything was perfect. The owner came over to talk to my MIL. And we got a free slice of flan, and never told them it was my birthday. I love this place so much.

Havana Heights is a great place to relax and have a nice dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to modifying a dish. My wife loved the fried pork chunks in with white rice and maduros (sweet plantains) There's a nice bar there. The mojitos looked good. It's on my list to try but I can't tell you that you can smell the fresh mint at the bar when they make them. And they have great Cuban coffee! BTW, there's a nice cigar shop right next so you can finish the Havana experience at home.

The food and service were awesome. Saturday special is $10 sangria, which was fantastic. They have a gluten free menu with several options to choose from. I had the elote tamales and my husband had shrimp in a garlic sauce. We tried their flan as well and it was the best dessert I have had in a long time. The music was a nice touch and wasn't too loud. Great atmosphere.

Food was great! Appetizers of their 3 different empanadas were delish! Entree was two of their pork dishes, equally flavorful

They had a very comprehensive wine menu and a nice list of cocktails. I got an old-fashioned and the wife got a Coke zero and they were brought fast. I chose the regular old-fashioned over the smoked and it was fantastic; a little on the sweet side for my taste but still very good. We ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer, and it came really quickly and was excellent. Wife ordered the ribeye with mixed vegetables and roasted potatoes. She said it was fantastic cooked just the way she liked it and at a reasonable price. I ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque and a side order of the brussels sprouts. The bisque was a little thin, but loaded with lobster and full flavored. Now the brussels sprouts were fantastic. Seasoned really well lots of bacon slightly crisp. I would go back there just for the brussels sprouts. I also ordered the focaccia bread and it was great for dipping in the lobster bisque. This is a nice little restaurant got a great neighborhood feel to it. We thought the service was fantastic and the food excellent. We will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu. I like supporting small family run businesses.

Also we came as a group of 7 of us and when we got there was only like 2-3 other tables in the restaurant but it took FOREVER to get our food. Like we were there for book club and we finished all of our book discussion topics and picked a new book and date before our food ever got there. At one point one of our friends had forgotten we even ordered food and another friend got up to go ask someone because we were like this is crazy and no one ordered anything complicated it was salads taco and then one order of calamari which was very tough like over fried and my other friend did not like her ahi tuna poke. All in all not sure I'd be back but the shrimp tacos and fries were yum

You have to want to eat and drink…read morewell enough to drive a little farther than is convenient--and that's already the first good sign. This isn't a shiny, soulless concept bar with Edison bulbs and a marketing team. It's a neighborhood joint that understands the fundamentals: cold beer, poured correctly; food that knows what it is; prices that don't insult you; and a staff that actually gives a damn. Let's talk beer first, because they clearly do. The draft list is deep and thoughtful--enough variety to satisfy the hop-chasers, the lager loyalists, and the folks who just want something cold and honest after a long day. And yes, they know how to pour a proper Guinness. Settle time. Correct head. No shortcuts. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their priorities. The menu doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or lecture you about provenance. It's bar food done with intention. The street tacos are the kind you order expecting "good enough" and end up wishing you'd ordered two more. Balanced, flavorful, no unnecessary nonsense. The fried cod special? Exactly what it should be--hot, crisp, flaky inside, and served without ego. Comfort food that respects the eater. Prices are fair. Refreshingly fair. The kind of prices that make you relax, order another round, maybe stay longer than planned. That's not an accident--it's hospitality. This is the kind of place that reminds you why local bars matter. Why it's worth skipping the chain down the road and driving a little further for something real. 2 Ways Draught & Kitchen isn't trying to be famous. It's just trying to be good. And that's why it is. Go thirsty. Go hungry. And don't rush it.

I thought I'd picked a gem from my bookmarks, but decided to take a look outside of my bookmarks to see if anything new had popped onto my radar. *Record scratch* a place with 4.9 stars has appeared?? Change of plans. There are probably 40+ beer taps in here and a menu with many typical classics that you'd find at a sports bar type of establishment. I went with some beef tacos. I heard the server tell my brother she recommends the al pastor, and in hindsight, I should have taken that rec. My beef tacos were fine, but the al pastor I traded with my brother, really hit the spot. I did enjoy a blueberry wheat beer from a Galveston brewer and saw several other appealing beer options on the menu. If I were to return, I'd probably go for a beer rather than the food, which was fine, but received mixed feedback from our large party.

We were also informed that they stop serving food at 9:30, so pretty much to order soon. Needless to say I was so disappointed and ready to leave. But it being so late, sucked it up. Came here for the sword fish that apparently they no longer serve as their menu had changed. After ordering, I did voice my concerns about the loud music and thankfully they changed it. I was able to enjoy my late night dinner with my husband. We ordered the Kataifi shrimp as an appetizer. They were medium sized served with a spicy tangy sauce. They were very delicious. For my main course I ordered the American red snapper which was also a unique dish as it was served on a corn husk with rice and beans. 3 whole crawfish, a corn and cold salsa verde sauce on the side of the dish. All was delicious except they should have served the salsa verde sauce warm instead of cold. It was still a delicious dish. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak which was also delicious. It was served with a side of green beans, puréed potatoes with a foie gras gravy. They have a descent drink menu. I ordered the Friendswood 75 which was a little too sweet for my liking and my husband ordered the Gin and tonic. They didn't have Sapphire so he opted for the Tanqueray. Overall, our meal was delicious and our server Sandy was nice.
